Chapter 14: Chapter 14 New Plan
The first thing Daniel did after waking up was take a deep breath, his mind already working. He came to the realization that his training needed a shift.
'I don't get almost any stats for playing games anymore,' he thought, 'It's time to make a new plan.'
He swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood up, stretching the stiffness out of his muscles. The quiet of the room was broken only by the sound of his footsteps as he walked over to his desk. He grabbed a notebook from his inventory, flipped it open, and started scribbling down his thoughts.
Training Plan
- After breakfast – Find a secure place to train physically until dinner.
- After dinner – Practice magic and read all the remaining books in the orphanage library. If possible, visit the local library to read more once the orphanage books run out.
'I think this will work,' he mused, reading over what he'd written. It was a solid plan, but a nagging thought in the back of his mind made him pause. He remembered the grueling training sessions from the past week, the constant reading and practice that had drained him.
"But I can't train all the time," he added aloud, rubbing his temples. "That week was exhausting."
He quickly added another note to the plan:
- Two-day breaks on weekends to do whatever I want.
"Perfect," he smiled, satisfied with the balance he had struck. After stowing the notebook back into his inventory, he stood up and glanced at the clock. It was almost time for breakfast, and the idea of a full day to himself was too tempting to pass up. "Today is a weekend, so I have all day free to do what I want," he thought. "But magic... I want to do magic anyway. Why not?"
With renewed energy, he left for breakfast. The food was simple, but he didn't mind. Afterward, he played a little football with the kids in the yard. It was fun, but after an hour, he felt the pull to get back to his room.
'Now it's time to see the first-year books,' he thought, glancing at the stack on his desk.
As he examined them, his gaze flickered over the eight books. Five of them were glowing faintly, while the others remained dormant.
"I wonder why..." he mused, tilting his head in curiosity. But he didn't waste much time dwelling on it. Instead, he reached for the glowing books, accepting them all at once.
A sharp, sudden pain hit him like a tidal wave, and he grunted, clutching his head. "Ughh!" he groaned. "Noted: don't try to absorb five books worth of skills at once."
The pain lingered for a moment before gradually fading, leaving him with a strange, dizzying sense of fullness. He took a few minutes to steady himself, blinking against the residual fuzziness in his mind. When the discomfort passed, he finally checked the descriptions of the new skills.

'Wait, only four skills?' he thought, scanning his entire list for any new additions, but the list remained unchanged. 'Where are all the spells I know?' He felt the lingering knowledge of the spells from the books. It was almost as if they were already part of him.
Deciding to test it out, he raised his wand and said clearly, "Wingardium Leviosa," pointing at the pen on his desk. The pen floated up into the air, just as expected. He felt a subtle drain on his mana, a tiny thread of energy that was pulled away by the spell.
"Hmm, I could keep this pen floating for an hour or more," he mused, watching the pen hover before letting it gently fall back to the desk. He quickly checked his skill list again.
[Elementary Spells (Passive) Lvl 2]
[- Helps with performing elementary charms and jinxes
- Your elementary charms and jinxes are 2% stronger]
'So I didn't get all the spells, just one big skill that houses them all,' he realized. He wasn't sure if that was good or bad, but there was no way to change it anyway. Shrugging off the thought, he tried a few more spells, though he decided to leave transfiguration alone for the moment. As he continued practicing, a light dizziness settled over him.
He stopped, taking a deep breath. It was time to meditate. While he sat in silence, a thought began to form.
'I can easily practice magic in my room, especially since it's just first-year stuff. Nothing too dangerous.' He smiled slightly. 'I can also read the books here or in the library. But... I need a secure place to train physically, one where I can really push myself.'
A slight frown creased his forehead. 'I can't do it out in the open. It'd be too obvious if an 11-year-old kid suddenly ran faster than an adult.'
Suddenly, his mind raced. He remembered Han Jihan's skill, "Dungeon Creation." That was it. He jumped to his feet, energized by the idea.
"I can create a dungeon! Of course!" he said, pacing in excitement. He quickly focused, gathering mana in his hand, and said, "ID Create!"
For a moment, nothing happened. He looked around, but the world around him seemed unchanged.
"Maybe I missed something?" he thought, eyes scanning the room. He paused, feeling an unsettling stillness in the air.
"Isn't it... too quiet?" he murmured, stepping closer to the window. There were no sounds from outside, no birds, no voices, nothing at all.
A thrill shot through him. He raced outside and found himself in the yard, but it was empty, just like the world outside the window.
'So it did work!' he thought, excitement bubbling up inside him. 'It copied the world exactly as it is!'
He sprinted toward the nearest shop. It took longer than he expected since he had no idea where it was, but after a bit of searching, he found it. Without hesitation, he took all the money from the register and hurried back to his room.
'Now it's time to get back,' he thought, eager to test it. He said, "ID Escape."
In a blink, the world shifted, and he was once again surrounded by the familiar sounds of life, the shouts of kids outside his window, birds chirping, and the occasional rustle of leaves in the breeze.
"Never knew it was so loud here," he chuckled, checking his inventory. His eyes widened. There was no money in sight.
'What?' he thought, confused, before it hit him. 'Everything in there is fake.'
A wave of disappointment washed over him. For a moment, he felt deflated. But quickly, he shrugged it off. "At least now I have a place to train."
He sat back at his desk, his mind buzzing with possibilities, and checked his newly acquired skills.

'As expected,' he thought, nodding to himself. Noticing that dinner was fast approaching, he left his room and made his way downstairs. As he ate, he chatted with Victor about trivial matters, the conversation a pleasant distraction.
After dinner, he slipped into the library, immersed in fantasy books. But eventually, sleep called.
"The grind begins tomorrow," he thought, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth as he drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
