Chapter 28: Chapter 28 The Daily Routine
Tuesday, 1 October 1991
The morning started like any other. Daniel woke up, went through his usual routine, and made his way down from the dormitories into the common room. He yawned, as he settled into his usual spot, waiting for his friends to wake up.
One by one, they stumbled in, still groggy from sleep. Once everyone was ready, they left the Ravenclaw common room and headed to the Great Hall for breakfast.
As they walked, Michael let out a tired sigh. "So, the first lesson today is DADA, huh?" His voice was already filled with dread.
Terry smirked. "Yeah, I bet he'll go on about another vampire that 'hunted' him after he 'accidentally' turned his back in a random cave."
The group chuckled, barely suppressing their laughter as they entered the Great Hall.
Breakfast was uneventful, and soon enough, they made their way to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. As always, the room reeked of garlic. Daniel had long since accepted that this was just part of his life now. They took their usual seats in the back row, trying to stay out of the professor's direct line of sight.
A few minutes later, Professor Quirrell walked in, "G-good m-morning, students," he stammered. "T-today w-we will t-talk a-about Imps."
Some students exchanged surprised glances.
Michael leaned closer to Daniel and whispered, "You think he's finally going to start doing normal lessons?"
Daniel shrugged. "I don't know. We'll see in the next one."
"S-silence p-please," Quirrell stuttered. Once the class quieted down, he continued, "T-The Imp is a magical beast found only in Great Britain and Ireland, notable for its sense of slapstick humour. Imps delight in tripping and pushing anybody they can get their hands on, as well as lobbing Wizard Crackers and other small projectiles at their victims..."
At least it wasn't another vampire story. That was an improvement.
After DADA, they had Potions in the dungeons. Unsurprisingly, the lesson went exactly as Daniel expected. No matter how precise he was with his brewing, he still lost points.
Snape barely glanced at his potion before sneering, "Pathetic," and moving on.
At this point, Daniel wasn't even offended. It was just routine now.
During lunch, they sat together, enjoying their food while the usual background chatter filled the hall.
Nearby, a group of second-year girls were giggling amongst themselves.
"You know, Neville Longbottom crashed from his broom today," one of them whispered.
"And I heard Draco is bragging about challenging Harry Potter to a duel," another added.
Daniel tuned them out, already guessing where this was going. 'So Harry will see Fluffy in a few days,' he thought idly as he finished his meal.
After lunch, they had Charms, followed by free time until Astronomy at midnight. Daniel used that time to practice his Transfiguration.
During Astronomy class, Professor Sinistra was explaining planetary orbits when something unexpected happened.
[The Map Function Unlocked]
'Oh? Didn't know there was a map function. If I had known, I would've tried to unlock it sooner,' he mused, opening the new feature.
The screen that appeared before him was mostly a dull gray void, with only a small 10-meter radius around him visible.
'So I'll have to manually unlock all of Hogwarts… maybe even the Forbidden Forest,' he thought. 'But only when I'm stronger.'
With that, he dismissed the map and focused back on the lesson.
At breakfast the following day, the Great Hall was buzzing with fresh gossip. As soon as Daniel sat down, Padma Patil turned to him.
"Did you hear? Professor McGonagall accepted Harry into the Gryffindor Quidditch team!"
Daniel looked at her, unimpressed. "Didn't know about it, but is it really that important?"
"Of course! He'll be the youngest player in a century!" she said excitedly.
He nodded absentmindedly, letting her talk as he focused on his food. After breakfast, they headed to the Herbology greenhouse for their lesson. The rest of the day passed uneventfully.
In his free time, Daniel decided to explore Hogwarts and map out whatever he could. It took away time from practicing magic, but he didn't mind.
Friday, 4 October 1991
The morning was going as usual until a few owls swooped into the Great Hall, carrying a large package that landed right next to Harry Potter.
Daniel barely needed to guess what it was. 'So they saw Fluffy already,' he thought as he watched Harry unwrap a broomstick.
He tapped his fingers against the table. 'I want to see the Cerberus too… but first, the Invisibility Charm.'
With that, he turned back to his meal. Nothing else interesting happened that day.
The next morning, Daniel lounged in the Ravenclaw common room, staring into the fire.
'It's getting boring farming Gnomes already,' he thought.
Even the boss was easy now. He sighed and checked his skill list.
[ID Create (Active) Lvl 14]
'Should I try to see if I unlock something at level 15?' He thought for a moment before shrugging. 'Why not?'
Leaving the common room, he found a secluded spot where no one was around. Then, he began spamming ID Create and ID Escape to grind experience. Since the skill had already been close to leveling up, it didn't take long before a new notification popped up.
[ID Create (Active) Lvl 15]

Currently Available ID List:

Daniel blinked at the new option.
'Oh, Pixies…' He groaned. 'This is going to be annoying to farm.'
With a deep sigh, he selected Pixies ID and stepped into the dungeon.
