Chapter 48: Seijuro achievments (48)
[Later That Night — Inn Courtyard]
Going through some hand seals,
Seijuro would open his mouth and say:
"Gouen Ryuusha: Hakai no Shougeki."
Opening his mouth, he spewed out a majestic fireball, the flames seeming to devour anything that dared get close.
Seijuro licked his dry lips. Hm, he needed to apply a thin layer of water to them to avoid burning himself.
More like burning his lips—yeah, the jutsu was that powerful. He analyzed it a bit.
"I can use it about four times before I run out of chakra," he muttered to himself.
"It's quite powerful, but still semi-uncontrollable..." He began scribbling in his notes. This jutsu should be far, far easier to control.
He sighed to himself a bit.
Maybe he could make a pathway beforehand or something like that—using Wind Style, he could create an artificial path for the fire to follow.
Though that could be disrupted by someone simply using a Wind Style jutsu to shift the pathway so the fire doesn't hit them...
Meaning he'd probably have to layer a Genjutsu over his jutsu.
Hm, at this rate, he was putting a layer of Genjutsu on everything—including his breathing, because why not.
It was mostly there for mind games, just in case.
Well, he went underground. While there, he made a clone that would go back up, while he continued moving underground, with his clan's Kekkei Genkai activated. He made his way to the Kage Tower.
Hm, surprisingly, the seals there were ass. Like, the worst of the worst. He was able to bypass them easily, and since there were basically no sensors, he avoided detection without much trouble.
'Hm, the patrol is not as intense as in Konoha,' he thought to himself. He waited—patiently—for three hours, making sure the leader of the village left, waited until the guards were relaxing, some taking their smoke breaks and so on.
He waited for that moment.
Once it arrived, he didn't rush. He took his time, not once letting his guard down, making his way inside the Kage Tower. Instead of going for the obvious jutsu...
He did something else.
He opened the files. More importantly, the files about people who had recently come to the village.
His eyes scanned through the names.
Kouma Nakai: Nothing out of the ordinary for this guy. Matter of fact, he looked like any average joe.
Kako Oota: Once again, looked quite normal. Nothing to show that he was an Uzumaki.
Shin Hirayama: He had the red hair, though only the tip of his hair was red. The rest was black.
Chieri Fujimura: Hm. Gender-neutral name.
Masayo Ehara: From the look of it, he was born and raised here. So that put him out.
Yusa Morioka: She seemed to be a local librarian.
Mizuki Suenaga: Hm. She was new, and her arrival coincided with the Uzumaki slaughter. Good to know.
Rumi Kinjou: Random shop owner.
There wasn't much in terms of actual info there, but he did find some possible Uzumaki.
Also, the sealing behind him was open. For a second, he made sure to memorize everything inside. As in—he had it committed to memory, where everything was, just in case shit went south.
He took out a scroll. He wondered what kind of jutsu this village had.
Name: Wind Release: Vacuum Blade
Rank: B
Type: Ninjutsu
Element: Wind
Range: 30-meter projectile weapons.
Hand Seals: None
Description: The user exhales wind-infused chakra onto a weapon in order to increase its sharpness, range, and lethal efficiency. For example, the user can infuse a kunai to resemble a makeshift scimitar or infuse shuriken to increase their range and cutting power. Weapons such as kunai and others of a similar size can only be increased by up to 27 inches in length. Swords and spears can only be increased by the same amount. Shuriken and projectile weapons can be increased by a circumference of 25 inches.
Good enough.
Copying the jutsu to memory, he put it back where he found it—before carefully making sure everything was exactly how he found it.
Mind you, this whole time, Kyoka Suigetsu was active.
If you were wondering what it was doing—simple. He was basically invisible. His chakra presence, his chakra signature, any sign he was ever here to begin with?
Gone. Even if someone with the Byakugan were to look at him, they wouldn't see shit.
Anyway, he already had a jutsu similar to what he just stole. He'd just combine the two and get something stronger. Truly a win-win situation.
Hm. Once he was done with his sneaking?
He did something unimaginable—he did not steal everything he could see like a dumbass.
He made sure everything was as it was before he arrived, then dipped.
He did check out their seals—and yeah, they were all ass.
Very ass.
Still took them, though. For studying purposes.
After all, sealing was hard to come across, beggers could not be choosers, he shall take what he can get.
