[ Chapter IV (4): "EXPLORATION OF LABORO LIGHT" ]

[ WARNING! WARNING! ]

[ INTRUDER ALERT. PLEASE PUT DOWN YOUR WEAPONS OR YOU WILL BE SHOT! ]

[ "H-what?!" ] Felix looked on in shock at the numerous floating robots in front of him, all bearing either machine guns, laser rifles, and heavy artillery that can kill him in one go.

He then craned his neck to look at the back, and kept noticing robots pouring in all directions and he immediately noticed that he have no fucking chance to get out of here.

[ "I am a human! N-no weapon, no weapon!" ] He begged, desperate on not actually dying. Both arms up in the air as he looks at each of the floating robot's faces that they created to appear approachable, now looking like monsters as it beems red.

[ INTRUDER ALERT. PLEASE PUT DOWN YOUR WEAPON OR YOU WILL BE SHOT! ] But no matter what he says, or does, the robots seem to be content in wanting to kill him.

All robots having a speaker in them repeating what each other says, at the point of echo, and distortion of voices; [ "I don't have a fucking weapo- wait!" ] Felix instantly remembers the lighter he took, and realized that it can probably be considered as a weapon by these things.

You can after all hurt someone with it, either by throwing, or burning their hands. Or to light up explosives. And in that Felix sweat immediately, slowly reaching to his pockets to pull out the lighter. [ "T-this what you want?!" ]

Before he could respond, a small robot right beside him took it with a hand that extended from its floating cubic body before ultimately throwing the thing in the middle of the robots.

In front of Felix's bewildered gaze, the robots no matter the size, artillery, or design immediately fired on the said apparently dangerous lighter. One robot even going in and punching the said "dangerous" object, flattening it before another shot its shotgun to satisfaction.

Under the confused, but slightly amused eyes of Felix, all the robots didn't bother wasting their ammunition on the thing before ultimately losing interest seconds later. All leaving him alone, going back to their respective tasks.

The machinery, the chainsaw, the guns that were being carried by their metallic arms retracted inside them. With Felix not knowing how they can fit such things inside, all the blaring red alarms above him disappear, momentarily showing green.

The faces of the robots that were previously hostile, and in red disappeared, a momentarily flash of green being shown before ultimately they change back to a less harmless appearance.

He watches as the first robot he encountered inside this space ship float past him, the previously seen undeniable hostility disappearing replaced instead with a bored-looking appearance. [ "What the fuck?" ]

He watches the monster grab the broom nearby, and continue sweeping, having continued its works before having encountered Felix. The program of it being advance, and confusing to Felix who's unfamiliar with such things, only having heard of these things in fictional stories.

The world he grew up in being far-away from such admonishing aspects of technology. The robots having the ability to be a nanny, cleaning the ship they are in, maintaining it, and in seconds immediately switch to be guard dogs, much more efficient, much more dangerous than such.

Phew!

Felix swallowed a lump of saliva on his throat as he decides to go to the right, one leading to a spacious hallway that is visible to him. One where robots of different uses and appearance have gathered from.

Trying to shake away the fear he is feeling, first of all in being killed, disintegrated to the point of nothingness like the lighter he took earlier experienced, he then continued moving.

Stepping over the floor which the lighter was thrown into earlier, the said place having a small but noticeable dark ash color in it, chainsaw marks, bullet holes that didn't go that much far, and flame thrower heat still slightly felt by the bare feet of Felix.

Looking back slightly while walking, Felix began to wonder. If he hadn't thrown the lighter in time, would that mark on the floor be bigger than it should be?

He doesn't want to know the answer, as he slightly shivers in imagining himself being gunned down, mauled by chain saws, and punched to annihilation by crazy square bots.

Beads of sweats fall onto the floor in imagining such a scenario, thankfully he seems to have avoided it.

Wanting to complete the task, Felix continued moving, scanning and exploring the surroundings. The things he is currently seeing are doors, identical ones to the one where he seemingly spawned at. All dull, all grey, all having numbers in them.

He tried to open one, but it didn't work. Then another, didn't work. Then another, didn't work. Before ultimately having gone to each and every single one of the doors, trying to open them but not being able to. Instead, in dismay, he continued on, noticing that the robots aren't paying him any mind.

The cutely circle shaped robots not giving a single flying fuck to him as they focused on their respective tasks, either sweeping using a broom, dusting, or using vacuum cleaners, attentive on destroying all dust they could scan.

Felix who's thankful in them not caring about him continued on, before the clearing was ultimately visible to him. Shielding his eyes from the bright light, Felix began to adjust to the surroundings as he looked on...

[ "Up?" ] Yes, up, straining his neck, Felix was able to see the clearing offered on other floors. 20? No, no, he began continuing and could only count up to 43, estimating that this space ship has up to 65 floors, likely to be more — the floor he is currently at being the most grounded of them all.

To Felix who's scared of heights, this thing in front of him was far scarier than he should think. In looking out the windows of the space ship — Laboro Light, he didn't feel like this, no, he couldn't see the ground which made him sight in relief.

But in seeing the many floored space ship he found himself in, he began to immediately think of the possibility of accidentally falling off the railings of such floors. And in front of his eyes, he is already stimulating such a situation.

From a high floor, screaming, then a loud splat with his organs having been squeezed to the point of destruction. Then he could imagine seconds later a disgruntled cleaning bot vacuuming his remains, before ultimately moving forward.

Feeling slight fear in that happening, Felix instinctively backed away slightly. Bots moving up and down, left and right, past him, and ignoring him like he isn't even there.

Occasionally some readjust their trajectory to not hit him — their systems probably render him as an obstacle, or a wall, a small one in the middle of the lobby.

Nonetheless Felix didn't mind, as he admires them slightly before moving forward; [ "Where do I even start?" ] A genuine concern as he looks at the empty elevators in front of him, three being opened for the taking.

He thinks to himself if he should enter elevator one, elevator two, elevator three, or search first the corridors on his right... After pondering, Felix remembered the mission he has, to search all-over the Laboro Light space ship, 100% completion.

A feat that seems to be easy at first sight for Felix, but in now knowing how huge this "small" space ship is, he retracted such claims, not wanting to embark on such a journey any more and instead go back to his 9-to-5 job.

[ "By the Emperor, I want to go home..." ]
