Chapter 664: About Time.
Swing!
The Butcher's Thunder Axe crashed down to the ground, releasing a discharge of lightning that sent shockwaves through the nearby demonic beasts.
Their bodies quivered involuntarily as the Butcher dashed into their ranks, not even bothering to lift his axe from the ground.
The weapon was responsible for the lightning discharge, and to maintain the spell, it had to remain embedded in the ground for a few seconds until the mana infused within it ran out.
Taking advantage of their vulnerable state, Butcher unleashed a flurry of punches, his hands moved with such speed that the demonic beasts, still trembling from the lightning strike, could only watch helplessly.
They couldn't track his movements, and in the next instant, Butcher's hand would plunge deep into their chests.
He moved with a frenzy, his hands a blur as they pierced through the chests of the upright beasts and the brains of those on all fours.
It was as if his hands were phasing through them, crushing their hearts or destroying portions of their brains.
He knew they wouldn't survive such catastrophic damage to their vital organs.
Once he was done, he phased his hands back out of their bodies.
When he finished, the bodies of the demonic beasts he had attacked slumped lifelessly to the ground, but every surge of power has its limits, and as the mana fueling the lightning axe was depleted, the lightning discharge ceased, allowing the remaining demonic beasts to recover.
Now, Butcher found himself deep within the horde of demonic beasts.
The surviving creatures turned toward him, their eyes glowing red with rage, seeing their fury directed at him made Butcher chuckle, his voice crackling with residual electricity.
"Cute. Recall," Tempest Butcher said, as a bolt of lightning materialized in his right hand, transforming into his massive battle axe.
He gripped the weapon firmly with both hands.
[Second Form.]
Dragging his two-handed axe through the air, Butcher split it into two smaller one-handed axes, channelling his mana into them, causing the weapons to sparkle brilliantly with white lightning that shimmered with blue hues along the edges.
As the demonic beasts charged toward him, Butcher drew both axes back, fully aware that his mana reserves were dwindling.
However, he was confident he wouldn't be eliminated by this group of Tier 4 beasts yet.

Butcher cast the spell, sending his dual axes flying toward the oncoming demonic beast.
The axes sliced through everything in their path, turning quickly, he summoned lightning bolts in both hands, using them like swords to cut down the beasts attacking from behind.
His attention was instantly drawn to a demonic creature gathering energy in its mouth from the back of the horde.
Instinctively, his body trembled; he couldn't afford to let such an attack land on him, with decisive action, he hurled the lightning bolt from his right hand like a javelin.
The bolt travelled swiftly through the air, piercing the energy ball and causing the gathered elemental energy to disperse, but that was not the end as the bolt continued onward, until it impaled the beast against a nearby tree.
"Puchi!"
Another strike came From a Tiger demonic beast as it bit into his right shoulder from behind.
In response, he unleashed the last bolt from his left hand, driving it toward the creature's skull.
Yet, despite his efforts, he was still being overwhelmed by the onslaught of demonic beasts, although Butcher was a golem and felt no fatigue, but he knew his mana was running low.
If that happened, he wouldn't just lose the ability to cast spells; even his elemental body would become disabled.
This would leave him vulnerable to physical attacks, in fact, it was only because of his dwindling mana that the Tiger demonic beast had being able to spot a visible part of his body to bite.
In his elemental body form, Butcher's physique transformed into a humanoid shape composed of swirling lightning and dark wind.
While in this form, most physical attacks were unable to harm him, as he could expend mana to bypass their effects.
However, certain attacks, like rebounds or special physical strikes, still posed a threat, but if his elemental body became disabled, his true form, crafted from rare dark stones, would be revealed; and at that point, even the slightest physical blow could inflict damage.
Feeling the pulling force of his axes drawing closer, Butcher stretched out his arms wide, allowing the weapons to return to his grasp before settling into a defensive stance.
He was determined not to go down without a fight. The moment he took his stance, it seemed to signal the demonic beasts, as they began charging toward him.
Bang!!
Just as they closed in, Butcher witnessed hundreds of spear Qi raining down from the skies.
He looked up to see Legion soaring above him with a jetpack strapped to his back, and his laser spear in his right hand.

Another attack was launched, sending a large sword wave hurtling toward him.
Butcher quickly assessed the incoming attack; discerning he is directly in its path.
Yet, as the wave reached him, it simply passed through his elemental form without inflicting any damage, continuing on its journey to cut through everything in its path until it dissipated from lack of mana.
As he observed his surroundings, Butcher saw that the rest of the golems had gathered around him.
After listening to Alec's words, he decided not to follow Titan's usual role of holding the line.
Instead, he resolved to give his all, throwing himself into the onslaught against the wave of beasts, even diving headfirst into the horde.
Suddenly, Legion descended and swiped the base of his lightning spear at Butcher, striking the edge of his face.
"What the hell is wrong with you? Master told you to be yourself, not to throw your life away! Do you realize how much trouble we went through to get you out of that mess? Now go rest in the corner and recover your mana!" Legion's words rushed out in a torrent, ending with a commanding tone.
Butcher, recognizing the urgency of the situation, didn't argue and headed toward a corner to recuperate.
Legion turned to assess what remained of the beast army and was surprised to see they were almost finished with the clean-up.
In fact, even Alec wouldn't have anticipated that his golems could clear the beasts so quickly.
However, just then, an icy fog began to spread, causing Legion to frown as he noticed ominous shadows of new demonic beasts emerging from the mist.
The Snow Leopard made its dramatic entrance at the very moment it seemed the wave of beasts was on the verge of defeat.
The entire team of golems immediately adopted a defensive stance, ready to eliminate what seems to be the last threat once and for all.
"Mine!" But before either side could act, a cold voice reverberated through the air as the ice force-field expanded again, enveloping everything in sight, as the golems began to hear a spell being chanted:
