The Hero of Hypnosis

After having his fun with Kassandra and Stacy, Kai got dressed and left his room, heading toward the living room to relax.

There, he saw his Mother, Sister, Sophie, Lucy, Gwen, Amaya, and Sasha all chatting it up, talking about their experiences with Kai.

"Oh, look who decided to join us. Wanna join us?" Gwen asked

"No, not really." He turned around to leave.

"Son, sit down." Erika demanded with a smile.

"Y-Yes." He sat down next to Vanira, who jumped on his lap.

"So, what are you all talking about?" He wondered

"Oh, nothing, just about how you're the fucking hero!" Vanira yelled in his ear.

"Ow. You told them?" Kai looked at Gwen and Amaya

They shrugged.

'Bitches.'

"So you weren't going to tell us? This is big news, you know! I can't believe my man is the hero! Oh my gosh! This is amazing!" Sohpie gushed

"I want to keep it on the downlow for now. It's gonna be annoying as fuck when people learn about it and I don't want so many eyes on me." Kai explained

"Fair enough." Lucy nodded

"But still, a hero. I guess your dream is coming true." Erika smiled at Kai, knowing it was his dream to become a hero, or at least it was his doubleganger's dream. She felt proud, and this made her love him even more.

Vanira grinned. "When you become the hero publicly, I'm going to brag to all of my friends that my little brother is the hero! They're gonna be so jealous!"

"You have friends?" Kai asked

"Excuse me? Of course, I have friends! Do you think I'm some freindless loser?"

Kai didn't answer, but that was the answer she needed.

"You little runt! I have friends!"

"Ow! Haha, you don't need to pull my hair! Ouch! Wait! Ow! You're pulling it out! Ahhhhh!"

After taking a few more days off to relax and hang out with his family, Kai decided that it was time to leave Ashenfall.

Kassandra bawled her eyes out, begging him to stay longer, while Stacy only put on a sad face but accepted his leaving.

His girls at home were more understanding, as this wasn't his first time being away. Plus, they got to spend more time with him recently, which satisfied their longing for him.

So, after saying goodbye and giving everyone a final kiss, he set off for Marenford Town, the last town before Qasyran City, where the church of Gracia was.

"Hehe! I'm so excited!" Sasha jumped up and down in the carriage with a huge smile on her face.

"What's up with that chick?" Amaya whispered to Kai.

"Dunno? Maybe she's going crazy." He assumed.

"I heard that! I'm not going crazy. I'm just excited to travel with you all. Although we went on some quests together, this will be our first time traveling together to a new place." Sasha explained

"True. It does feel nice, especially with a new addition to our Party." Gwen smiled. "Besides, I wanna bash some skulls!"

Not only did Kai increase his girls' stats, but he also opened their Mana Network, just like he did with Kassandra. Because of this, they were way more powerful than normal, and Kai knew that Gwen wanted to test that power after they arrived in Marenford.

Marenford was a month's journey from Ashenfall, but with Kai's carriage, they would arrive in two weeks with constant breaks to allow everyone to stretch their legs so they weren't cramped up all the time.

However, around four days into their journey, they noticed another carriage following them. It wasn't uncommon for Carriages to follow one another since the path was for everyone, but Kai took wild twists and turns, straying off the path, and the other carriage still trailed them.

"We're being followed." He alerted everyone.

"Are they bandits? Please be bandits!" Gwen hoped

"I don't know. Do you think bandits would follow us for hours?" He asked

"Honestly, yeah. Don't underestimate people and the things they will do for money or pleasure." Sasha pointed out.

"Fair point. So, what do you all want to do? I'm fine with anything. Run away, just keep moving normally, or kill them. Y'all decide."

"Let's just kill them." Gwen punched her palm.

"Yeah, I'm with her." Sasha agreed.

Amaya raised her hand. "Ooo, I have an idea. Let's go back on the main path, then BOOM, we start flying and take off. You'll teleport us back to this area, and we'll confront them."

"Holy shit, that's genius! Let's go with that!"

Kai did exactly as she suggested. The other carriage was still following them and even started coming a bit closer. Then, Kai's carriage took off, flying into the horizon.

"What the fuck?!" The coachman said who was following Kai's carriage.

"What? What happened?" A passenger asked

"T-The carriage just flew into the sky! It happened instantly!"

"Crap! D-Did they know we were following them?" The passenger asked

"I-I think so. But to make a carriage fly, there must be a powerful mage there."

"Our client will not be happy about this. After seeing that boy kill Carlos, they told us to kill him once he left the city, and now we have failed to catch him. We're so scewred."

"Ah. So that's why you were following us." Kai laughed, descending from the sky alongside his girls.

"W-What the...How are you here?" The coachman asked

"Dead men don't need to worry about that." He smirked

"Do you think we'll go down that easily? We are prepared to face you after seeing what you could do to Carlos! Don't think that we will fall that easily!"

Coming out of the bushes were over one hundred assassins who were all no weaker than Tier-7 warriors. All of them, besides Sasha, were stronger than Kai's girls.

This, however, did not make him worry about them in the slightest. Because of Kai's protection aura, they wouldn't even get harmed by the assassins and could wear them down.

"If you knew what happened to the last group of assassins who attacked me, you would know that none of you will be able to stop me." Kai grinned

"Like I said, we wont fall that easily." The assassins attacked.
