The Insights of the Gods, Deducing the Forbidden Spells at Hogwarts

Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Did You Know? I Heard I Have a Brother

Charlie was flying at an incredible speed.

If a Muggle had been nearby, they would have been shocked.

At this speed, he had already surpassed ordinary birds.

With the blessing of magic

Under the influence of magic, the owl radiated an ancient aura.

Privet Drive?

Charlie flew swiftly while scanning the surroundings.

The nighttime visibility wasn't great, but thanks to being merged with the owl, Charlie's vision remained remarkably sharp.

Left turn.

Straight ahead.

Right turn.

Keep going.

...

Finally.

In the dead of night, Charlie arrived at his aunt's house.

He landed gently on the treetop, resting briefly as he gazed at the house that had only existed in his distant memories.

A wave of nostalgia washed over him.

The house was dark inside.

It seemed that everyone had already gone to bed.

At this moment, his dear younger brother, Harry, was probably sleeping in that cramped space under the stairs.

Whenever someone walked forcefully up the steps, dust would scatter everywhere inside that tiny cupboard.

How pitiful.

Charlie's impression of Harry remained as that of a one-year-old toddler, afraid of him, crying uncontrollably whenever he saw him.

Thinking about it now, it was both amusing and nostalgic.

Wait?

Charlie suddenly turned his head.

Harry's presence was missing.

Spreading his awareness, Charlie only sensed Vernon and Dudley's heavy, snoring bodies, and Petunia sleeping cautiously nearby.

Unexpectedly, there was another presence in a separate room.

Marge?

Charlie vaguely remembered her.

A nasty woman who loved to bully Harry.

If Harry wasn't home, she was likely involved.

With that thought, Charlie took off again, soaring into the sky to search for Harry.

Luckily, Harry hadn't run far.

Charlie didn't have to spend much effort before he found him.

And what he saw made him chuckle.

Harry was perching in a tree, just like Charlie had been moments ago.

Charlie was an owl at the moment.

But what was Harry doing?

Performance art?

Without further thought, Charlie flew toward Harry's location.

Harry wasn't asleep.

There was no way to sleep peacefully in a tree.

That wretched dog was still below.

It seemed drowsy, but the slightest noise would wake it.

Each time Harry tried to sneak away, he failed.

At first, he had hoped Aunt Petunia or Uncle Vernon would come to his rescue.

But as time passed, he gave up hope.

Staring at the vast night sky, Harry felt lost.

"If my parents were alive, they wouldn't let me be treated like this, right?"

"They would feel sorry for me, wouldn't they?"

"I wonder how my brother is doing."

"Aunt Petunia slipped up once and mentioned I had a brother in an orphanage. I wonder if his life is harder than mine."

Harry muttered to himself, looking sorrowful.

He longed for family.

But he had never truly experienced it.

One of his happiest moments was hearing his aunt's accidental revelation, learning that he had a blood-related brother out there somewhere in the world.

It gave him a shred of hope for the future.

Once he grew older and could take care of himself, he was determined to find his brother.

Suddenly

Harry noticed an owl flying low in the distance.

And strangely enough, it seemed to be heading straight for him.

"Did I take its nest or something?"

Harry chuckled at himself.

The next moment, the owl landed beside him.

It was, of course, Charlie.

Charlie studied Harry for a moment.

Then he nodded.

Just as he had imagined.

Young, delicate.

But that simple nod startled Harry.

This owl…

Why did it move so much like a person?

It was uncanny…

"Hey there, owl buddy."

After hesitating for a moment, Harry greeted it.

He had never had trouble interacting with animals.

In fact, sometimes he even felt like he could communicate with them.

Charlie extended a wing and patted Harry.

This gesture left Harry completely stunned.

Charlie wasn't trying to scare him, just an old habit, teasing him a little.

He used to do it all the time when they were younger.

But what surprised Charlie was how quickly Harry adjusted.

He wasn't frightened by the owl's oddly human-like actions.

"Owl buddy, you must think I'm ridiculous."

"I got chased up here by Marge's dog and have been stuck ever since."

"The sky's about to lighten, and still, no one has come to help me."

"Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia don't care, and Marge well, she doesn't even need to be mentioned."

Charlie's heart grew cold.

So it was Marge's doing.

"You really understand me, don't you?"

Harry's voice held a trace of surprise.

Somehow, he felt like this owl was truly listening to him.

"My god… are you an angel?"

"Thank you for listening to me."

Harry couldn't sleep, so he simply started venting to the owl, treating it like his personal confessional.

Charlie didn't interrupt him too much.

Over the years, Harry had not lived a happy life.

Compared to his own situation, Harry had it much worse.

But because of that protective spell, staying with his aunt was the safest option.

"Did you know?"

"I actually have a brother."

"I'm not truly alone in this world."

"I once begged Aunt Petunia to take him in too."

"I told her that even if we had to live together in a shed in the yard, I wouldn't mind."

"At least then, I would know I wasn't alone."

Charlie remained silent.

His little brother, the so-called Savior, was truly someone who valued family.

"Aunt Petunia seemed hesitant."

"But Uncle Vernon got really worked up when he heard about it and absolutely refused."

"And just like that, nothing ever came of it."

"But I made a promise to myself, when I grow up, I'll find my brother no matter what."

As Harry spoke, drowsiness crept over him.

Before long, dawn began to break.

A large, lumbering figure slowly emerged.

Marge was coming.
