The Invincible Sect Leader

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: The Silent Storm Before the Roar

Chan Li had now spent nearly two decades in the Martial Sky World, living an unassuming life as a humble martial arts master, a devoted husband, and a father. His name was known only in whispers, his existence regarded as an enigma by the powerful sects and clans of the world. Unlike the realms he once traversed, this world had no Qi refinement, no celestial energies—only raw martial prowess and years of grueling training.

His wife, Tang Yu, had blossomed into a true martial artist under his guidance. She was not just an unparalleled beauty but a warrior in her own right, feared and respected across the Martial Sky World. His son, Chan Lang, inherited his mother's looks but possessed his father's unfathomable strength hidden within his veins. Even though Chan Li wished for a peaceful life, fate seemed to weave a different destiny for him.

A Brewing Conflict

One evening, as Chan Li sat on the roof of his modest home, sipping on a homemade variant of his "Heavenly Cola," he sensed a shift in the atmosphere. The winds carried whispers of turmoil. The Great Martial Alliance, a coalition of the strongest clans, was preparing for an unprecedented war.

"The Seven Kings of the Martial Sky World are about to clash," murmured Tang Yu, standing beside him. "The balance of power is shifting."

Chan Li lazily yawned, scratching his head. "That sounds exhausting. Why don't they just have a drinking contest and settle things that way?"

Tang Yu sighed, shaking her head. "Not everyone is as... unconventional as you."

The Unexpected Invitation

A week later, an elder of the Great Martial Alliance arrived at their doorstep. He was an old but dignified man, his robes lined with the golden insignia of the Dragon Claw Sect.

"Master Li," the elder bowed. "The Alliance requests your presence in the upcoming gathering. We are facing a formidable enemy."

Chan Li waved his hand dismissively. "Sorry, I'm on an indefinite vacation. If you're looking for a hero, go knock on another door."

"The enemy seeks to conquer the entire world," the elder pressed. "The Blood Demon Cult has returned. They are using strange, unnatural techniques, far beyond martial arts. They must be stopped."

Chan Li's playful expression faltered for a moment. "Blood Demon Cult? Those guys again? Geez, it's like cockroaches. You burn one nest, and another pops up somewhere."

The elder's eyes widened. "You... know of them?"

Tang Yu elbowed him. "Husband, stop playing around."

Chan Li sighed. "Fine, fine. I'll tag along. But I expect free food and drinks."

The Gathering of the Strongest

At the Grand Arena, the greatest martial artists of the world had assembled. Lords and masters who had spent lifetimes honing their skills stood ready. As Chan Li and his wife entered, whispers spread like wildfire.

"Who is that?"

"Isn't that the reclusive martial master?"

"They say even the Seven Kings fear his presence..."

Chan Li ignored them, yawning dramatically. "So, where's the free buffet?"

One of the Seven Kings, a towering man named Bai Long, stepped forward. "We have summoned you all because the Blood Demon Cult possesses techniques that do not belong in this world. We must stand united or fall."

Chan Li smirked. "Sounds ominous. But what's in it for me?"

Bai Long frowned. "You jest, but this is no laughing matter."

Chan Li grinned. "Oh, I laugh at everything. It makes life more fun."

An Omen of Darkness

As discussions continued, the sky outside darkened unnaturally. A chilling presence washed over the arena. Then, a voice echoed.

"Fools who cling to ancient ways... your world belongs to us now."

A blood-red sigil formed in the sky. The Blood Demon Cult had made their move.

Chan Li cracked his knuckles, his lazy demeanor shifting. "Well, well... looks like things are finally getting interesting."
