The Invincible Sect Leader

Chapter 89: Chapter 89: A Thousand Years Later, The Sect Still Stands

Chan Li stood atop a floating peak, his hands clasped behind his back as he gazed down at the magnificent sight before him. The Heavenly Mystic Sect had grown into a behemoth over the past thousand years, its territory stretching across entire continents, its influence unmatched. Towering palaces of divine architecture, floating islands brimming with spiritual energy, and countless disciples cultivating in the vast training fields painted a breathtaking scene.

Tang Yu and Chan Lang stood beside him, their eyes wide with disbelief.

"Father… this is your sect?" Chan Lang asked, his voice tinged with shock.

Tang Yu, equally stunned, shook her head in wonder. "This… this place is beyond mortal comprehension. Even the greatest empires in the Martial Sky World could never reach this level."

Chan Li chuckled, a bit of pride in his eyes. "Of course! The Heavenly Mystic Sect is not just any sect. It was built by me, nurtured by my disciples, and now it stands as a titan in the cultivation world."

He observed closely, watching the movements of his first-generation disciples, who had long since risen to unimaginable heights. At the helm of the sect sat his very first personal disciple, Bai Yunfeng, who had become the Supreme Leader of the sect in his absence. Beneath him, the rest of the sect flourished, led by the strongest elders and successors.

Despite the passage of time, Chan Li was satisfied his sect had remained intact, unwavering in strength and discipline.

The Revelation

After spending a few days observing from the shadows, Chan Li finally decided it was time. With a flick of his sleeve, his presence erupted like an unstoppable wave, sending tremors across the sect. A divine aura swept through the land, making countless disciples tremble in awe and excitement.

Boom!

A massive golden light spread across the sky, and a figure descended from the heavens.

"The Sect Leader!"

"He has returned!"

"It's him! After a thousand years!"

A wave of gasps, shouts, and disbelief spread through the Heavenly Mystic Sect. The younger disciples had only heard of Chan Li in legends, while the elders who had lived for centuries were overwhelmed with emotions. Some even dropped to their knees, unable to contain their reverence.

Bai Yunfeng, the current Supreme Leader, quickly led the grand elders and personal disciples to greet him. His voice trembled as he called out, "Master… is it truly you?"

Chan Li smirked, crossing his arms. "Who else would it be? You think I'd let my sect run wild without ever checking in?"

Yunfeng immediately knelt, his voice filled with gratitude. "Master, you have returned at last! The sect has waited for your presence!"

The disciples who had never seen him before were dumbfounded. They had expected a wise old master, but before them stood an ethereal young man, radiating a presence far beyond immortality.

One of the young disciples whispered, "Is this really our Sect Leader? Why does he look younger than me?!"

"It is said he ascended to an unknown realm of power… perhaps this is what true divinity looks like."

Tang Yu and Chan Lang were watching the spectacle in disbelief. Seeing Chan Li in his true element as the revered leader of an unmatched sect was completely surreal.

Tang Yu whispered, "I thought I knew you, but I feel like I'm only seeing a fraction of who you truly are."

Chan Li laughed. "Well, I did keep some secrets. But hey, now you know I wasn't lying when I said I'm a big deal."

The Grand Assembly

Chan Li lifted a hand, signaling everyone to rise. "Enough with the formalities. Let's get to business. Gather all disciples, elders, and masters I have something to say."

Within moments, thousands of disciples and elders assembled in the grand courtyard. Chan Li stood before them, looking at the generations that had come after him. He felt a deep sense of satisfaction.

"You have all done well. Even in my absence, the Heavenly Mystic Sect has grown into the most formidable force in the world. I am proud."

The disciples cheered, their admiration reaching new heights. Many of them had trained their entire lives under the legacy he had left behind, and now to see him in person was beyond their wildest dreams.

Chan Li continued, his voice resounding. "From today onward, I am reclaiming my role as the true Sect Leader! Those who have led in my absence shall remain in power, but I will now oversee everything personally!"

More cheers erupted, but some disciples were still curious. One brave soul stepped forward and asked, "Sect Leader… who are those with you?"

Chan Li smirked and gestured to his family. "This is my wife, Tang Yu, and my son, Chan Lang."

Gasps filled the air.

"The Sect Leader has a family?!"

"His son must be a monstrous genius!"

"Lady Tang Yu is breathtaking… she must be an unrivaled goddess!"

Tang Yu covered her face, overwhelmed by the attention, while Chan Lang stood awkwardly, still processing everything.

Yunfeng, still kneeling, looked up and said, "Master… if it is not too bold to ask… what realm have you reached now?"

Chan Li placed a hand on his chin, pretending to think. "Hmm… beyond gods? Beyond immortals? How about I just call it the 'Ultimate Level'? That sounds cool, right?"

Everyone was left speechless.

One elder coughed and muttered, "That… That is not an actual realm…"

Chan Li grinned. "Well, I just made it one."

Laughter erupted from some of the elders who knew Chan Li's playful personality, while the younger disciples were left in a daze, unsure how to react.

With his return, Chan Li knew that a new era for the Heavenly Mystic Sect was about to begin. He had spent a thousand years away, but now it was time to lead again. He had secrets to reveal, new techniques to pass down, and enemies to prepare for.

But first, he needed a nap.

Stretching lazily, he turned to Tang Yu and whispered, "You know, after all this grand reveal, I think I need some sleep."

Tang Yu rolled her eyes. "You just returned after a thousand years, and the first thing you want to do is sleep?"

"Of course! Being all-powerful is exhausting, you know."

And with that, Chan Li the most powerful, mysterious, and ridiculous sect leader in existence went off to take a nap, leaving his disciples in a mix of awe, admiration, and complete exasperation.
