The Legend of Utsumi- Reincarnated into another world as the strongest

Chapter 5: A trip to Dragovia and a Magic Beast

Finally, upon the next day's sunrise, Utsumi and Shayde were prepared to depart for Dragovia. After arriving in this world three days ago, there were a few things that bothered her.

No matter how much time passed, she never felt hungry, and she never felt a need to drink water either, of course; this was accompanied by the fact that she hadn't used the bathroom since she arrived here as well.

'If humans are equivalent to divine beings in this world, it makes sense, but she also hadn't seen Shayde do either of the two, so maybe eating and drinking is optional?'

However, that idea seemed a bit far-fetched to Itsumi, so she finally decided to confide in her worries with Shayde, but the answer she received was somewhat lackluster.

"Eh, you're just now thinking about this?"

Shayde flexed her hands with shadow Mana as she did her morning Magic practice, she had grown used to watching Shayde practice her magic every morning.

"How about you answer my question, miss prickly shadow dragon?"

Shayde rolled her eyes and pointed to Utsumi's stomach.

"Higher races such as Dragons and Demons only eat on special occasions, such as ceremonies and birthday celebrations. As for humans… I don't really know if eating would be pleasant for them since 70% of their bodies are made up of Mana."

When Utsumi listened to Shayde's explanation, a shock knocked Utsumi over and she fell onto her back, staring at the morning sunrise with a look of discontent.

'I remember on earth it stated that 60% of the human body contained water, but 70% of my body is Mana?! Who the hell made Humans like this!'

"Eh, Utsumi are you okay? You're acting strange… or maybe you actually lying around in the dirt."

Shayde slightly giggled as she looked over Utsumi with a playful smile, as she was preparing to continue teasing her a force suddenly knocked her to the ground.

"Wow Shayde~ I didn't know you enjoyed having a face full of dirt."

Shayde quickly stood up and tried to strike Utsumi, but before she reached her, Utsumi was suddenly behind her, and she whispered into Shayde's ear.

"Too slow Shayde~"

Shayde jumped before grabbing the ear that Utsumi whispered into with a bright red blush quickly spreading over her face.

"You are unbearable!" Shayde ran back toward their camp and Utsumi delightedly followed her with a beaming smile.

'Teasing Shayde is so fun! It's a shame we're going to Dragovia today. Eh, it will still probably be fun though.'

"Utsumi, are you ready?"

Shayde called toward her as they approached the outskirts of the camp. Utsumi rushed over to Shayde with an eager nod, but when Shayde looked Utsumi up and down, a displeased sigh came from her.

"Utsumi, you do realize that you're pretty… right? Why don't you change your outfit a bit? You've been wearing the same thing for the past three days!"

Shayde complained and accompanied her complaints by morphing her appearance. Suddenly she was wearing a black and violet gothic Lolita dress which surprisingly did suit her, but it gave way to make Utsumi want to tease her.

"Ah, so this is your interest, a bit childish, but it suits you well."

Utsumi added a playful smirk, causing Shayde to step on her foot again with a harsh stomp.

"Shayde~ isn't it a bit too early for this?"

Utsumi continued to tease Shayde, whose reddened face finally began to fume like a chimney with anger.

"Ugh! Just change your outfit so we can leave already!"

Shayde exclaimed before turning away with a hmph.

'I had never really thought too much about changing my clothes, but I suppose I shouldn't walk around the capital in loungewear even if this nightgown is comfy. What should I even wear, though?'

However, Utsumi suddenly got an idea, and a smirk began to play on her lips.

"Shayde! What do you think about my outfit?"

When Shayde turned around, she was suddenly flashed by the brand-new outfit that Utsumi was donning, and surprisingly it was the exact same design as her own clothes except the black and violet colors were replaced with gold and white.

Even though Shayde didn't want to admit it. Those colors surprisingly suited Utsumi well, but she agreed with herself to never tell Utsumi that.

"Shayde, you're really bad at hiding your thoughts and feelings."

Utsumi teased as she saw right through Shayde's reluctance to complement her. But to Utsumi, it was one of the things that made Shayde interesting, so she didn't mind one bit.

'But, it would be nice if she did compliment me…'

Finally, after four days in the forest, Utsumi and Shayde took off into the sky and headed toward the distant nation of Dragovia.

It had been a joyful vacation for Shayde, not that she would ever tell Utsumi that.

"Shayde, by the way, I was wondering… why did you go to that forest, anyway?"

Shayde's expression flushed shortly after Utsumi asked, which increased the curiosity of Utsumi even more. She had originally only asked to pass the time as they flew toward Dragovia, but now she was truly curious.

Shayde resigned herself to the fate of answering Utsumi's question when she saw the mischief that lit up in her eyes after asking the question.

"Utsumi. If I tell you, you are not going to laugh right?"

Utsumi turned her head to meet Shayde's pouty face with a sincere-looking smile before shaking her head.

"Of course not, I won't laugh Shayde."

Shayde, after getting clearance from Utsumi, finally opened her mouth to speak and started her explanation.

"Five days ago, I received an Oracle from the Head Priest of the holy court. The Oracle told me to go to the forest in the south of Dragovia and the Oracle said, 'Only there will I find what I seek'."

Utsumi listened with an excited smile on her face, 'So they have fortune tellers in Dragovia too…'

Utsumi giggled as she thought about using a fortune teller in Dragovia to predict the lottery, but then she quickly realized that there might not even be a lottery in the nation.

'But if there was, I will surely take advantage of it. But hold on a second, the Oracle told her that she would find what she wanted in the forest. Did I take up so much of her time that she never had a chance to look for it? I really hope not… I would feel so awful if Shayde missed out on something because of me.'

"So, Shayde, did you find what you were looking for in the forest?"

Shayde smiled before poking Utsumi's cheek, a gesture that she had grown into a habit of doing in the past couple days.

"Yeah, I did find what I was looking for, you would be surprised… it was a lot closer than I thought."

Utsumi happily exclaimed before beginning to speed past Shayde, causing her to expend some extra magic power to keep up with her.

"Shayde, hurry up~ or I'm going to get to Dragovia before you!"

Shayde suddenly frowned as Utsumi began to race toward Dragovia, she slightly rolled her eyes before following her 'This girl is so dense sometimes…'

.

Just as Utsumi and Shayde were reaching the outskirts of Dragovia, the pair noticed a group of three fighting off a giant white bear-looking creature.

Utsumi wanted to call it a white bear, but the creature's body was just too big to really be called that. Instead, Utsumi really didn't know what to call it all in her own honesty.

"Shayde! What is that thing?"

Shayde cast a slightly worried-looking gaze at the group of three that were fighting it.

"That is what we call an Ice Bear, it's capable of leveling buildings with truly frightening Ice powers. It's recommended that only B-Rank adventures try to fight an Ice Bear, but those three surely don't look B-Rank."

Utsumi suddenly stopped flying and floated above the clouds fifteen thousand feet in the air. She looked down to get a better look at the beast before posing another question to Shayde.

"What is a B-Rank?"

Shayde quickly stopped as well before slowly floating over toward Utsumi with an understanding smile and quickly explained.

"People who take on tasks to subjugate magic beasts are known as Hunters. The higher the rank, the stronger the adventurer. E-Rank, all the way up to SSS-Rank. Even though the SSS-Rank is currently just limited to one person, if you became an adventurer you would probably be granted that rank."

However, while Shayde and Utsumi exchanged conversation, Shayde noticed that the battle between the Adventures and the Ice Bear was going on for too long.

"Utsumi I'm gonna go help those three, do you want to come with me?"

Utsumi smiled before grabbing hold of her close friend's hand before suddenly teleporting the two of them to the ground.

"I thought you would never ask, Shayde~"
