The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!

Chapter 13: The Bizarre Task (4)

Mr. Paber was clearly tempted by Andrew's suggestion, his eyes gleaming. Mrs. Paber was also taken aback.

"No! This is definitely not a good idea!" Kevin immediately stood up and loudly said, "Sir, you must consider that this dragon has a criminal record! A dragon with a criminal record can mess up anything! You have to trust me! None of their suggestions are reliable! What if she steals your valuable luggage during the transport?"

Christina listened in a daze.

"Sir, trust me." Andrew said nonchalantly, "If our leader wants to do something, no one here can stop her."

"You! You're threatening us!" Kevin was already somewhat out of control.

"No, I haven't said anything. If I did, it's just an objective fact." Andrew replied with a smile.

Then, he turned to Mr. Paber, "Sir, I think you can give it a try, let a few of your personal guards go first and see if it's safe. It's very easy. Three hundred kilometers, we can go back and forth in just two hours. It's winter now, it might not even be dawn yet, and you'll have an answer."

Kevin and the mercenaries of the White Vulture Mercenary Group were all stunned, not even knowing what to say for a moment.

After careful consideration, Mr. Paber said softly, "This is the best suggestion I've heard in a long time. If successful, I would even be willing to give you an extra two thousand gold coins as a thank you, after all, you came up with a solution I couldn't think of, both safe and fast."

"Very happy to serve you, sir." Andrew nodded respectfully.

Across from them, the mercenaries of the White Vulture Mercenary Group started twitching at the corners of their mouths. They must have figured out whose the extra two thousand gold coins should have been.

Soon, everyone came to the courtyard of the mansion. In front of everyone, Christina transformed into a green dragon, astonishing the employer's family. Mr. Paber's youngest son was almost scared to tears.

Christina slowly lowered her head.

"You two! Get up there!" Mr. Paber shouted, pointing at his two guards.

The two guards hesitated, not daring to move forward. They stalled for a while until Christina proactively placed her head in front of them, and only then did their faces ease a bit.

Reaching out to touch the dragon scales, the guards found that Christina didn't react. Instead of being terrified, they excitedly smiled.

"My god, we're going to travel to Valencia on a dragon! I can't even imagine! I've never seen a dragon before!"

"Thank heavens! We don't have to fear those Liches chasing us anymore!"

Upon hearing "Lich," Andrew's expression froze, and his eyes began to flicker.

"Shall I take them over directly?" Christina's voice echoed in Andrew's mind.

Looking up at Christina, Andrew nodded and stammered, "Yes, take them to Valencia, just outside the city. Leave one person there and bring the other back to tell our Mr. Paber whether it's safe or not."

"Alright."

For the sake of safety, the two guards were tied to Christina. With strong winds high in the sky, riding a dragon without sufficient strength, ordinary people would be blown off directly. Even Andrew always needed to cast wind magic on himself every time he sat on the dragon's back.

Once everything was prepared, Christina took off with a dragon roar, carrying the two guards.

Just like a gust of wind, in the blink of an eye, Christina's figure had disappeared into the horizon.

Turning his face aside, Mr. Paber said to Andrew, "Although it hasn't been confirmed to be a success yet, I must thank you all. You've given me hope. Without this plan, I wouldn't even know how to take my things all the way to Valencia. It's too far."

Andrew forced a smile and replied, "It's our duty."

Next, it was a dull and monotonous waiting period.

Of course, it might not have been so dull and monotonous.

Mr. Paber's family was anxiously waiting, frequently coming over to ask Andrew questions, mostly groundless worries. Perhaps they had been terrified along the journey.

The White Vulture Mercenary Group was even more anxious, they even began arguing.

"Who on earth just said, 'we can't complete the mission with just the leader alone'? They were about to leave, but we kept them here! Gosh! Can't you say less? Don't you know all the villains in stories die because they talk too much?"

"How was I supposed to know he'd think of the idea of flying directly? We've done escort missions before and never used this trick. It's not my fault."

"Then whose fault is it? The two thousand gold coins just flew away. Who should we blame?"

"Maybe we shouldn't have taken this task in the first place."

"No, Tina, we should have taken it, just not talked too much."

Hearing the arguments from afar, Andrew listened quietly, letting out a chuckle.

*Did no one notice the guard just mentioned the 'Lich'? People with some knowledge nowadays know where the Liches on this continent come from. And they still care about two thousand gold coins?*

*Isn't a life worth more than two thousand gold coins?*
