The Limitless Naruto In Solo LEveLing

Chapter 42: Chapter 41 - New Manager ?

In Seoul, Korea,

Naruto settled comfortably on the sofa in his apartment's living room, enjoying a cold beer. He had just taken a refreshing shower after using his flying thunder technique to teleport directly from Bangladesh back to his home, thanks to the seal he had set there.

"Being this powerful makes life a bit dull," he remarked, glancing at the TV. The news was once again highlighting his achievements, this time covering his recent feat of clearing an S-Rank gate in Bangladesh—his second such accomplishment in under a month.

Naruto switched off the TV, letting the remote fall onto the sofa with a sigh. "I should probably give Chief Woo a call and let him know I'm back in Korea," he mused, reaching for his phone. "Then again, knowing him, he's probably already seen the news..."

Just as he thought about calling, his phone buzzed with an incoming call from Woo Jin Chul, as the caller ID indicated.

"What a coincidence," he murmured with a sigh, picking up the phone and setting his beer bottle on the table. "Hello, Chief Inspector Woo. What a coincidence—I was just about to call you."

"Coincidence indeed. I was watching the news; you put on quite the performance in Bangladesh," came the voice from the other end. "By the way, I've got some updates for you..."

"Before you dive into that, just so you know, I'm already back in South Korea," Naruto interjected.

"You are? How? When?" Chief Woo asked, sounding surprised. He had expected Naruto to still be in Bangladesh, as there hadn't been any reports from him or the Bangladesh Hunter Association, nor any record of him arriving at the airport back in South Korea.

"... Well, it's kind of a technique. Anyways, I will explain it later, for now, just can you take care of all the ... You know , procedures that are needed to..."

"I see..." Chief Inspector Woo replied, his voice tinged with both resignation and amusement at Naruto's nonchalant approach to his extraordinary abilities. "Alright, onto the reason I called... About the manager you inquired about, I've found someone exceptional for you. You can meet them whenever it suits you."

"Really? That's great news. Who is it?" Naruto asked with genuine interest. Having a manager would definitely ease the burden of handling contracts and the constant media attention.

"Her name is Park Min-ji. She has a background in managing top idols and later moved on to high-ranking hunters. She's known for her discretion and efficiency, and she's a top-level manager. More importantly, she has experience dealing with high-profile personalities like yourself," Chief Inspector Woo explained.

"She sounds promising," Naruto replied, finishing off his beer. "When can I meet her?"

"Here's the thing—she's quite eager to get started. She's available tomorrow after your meeting with the Chairman. I can arrange for her to come to the Association headquarters around 11 AM, if that suits you?"

"Sure, that works for me. What's the second thing you wanted to tell me?" Naruto asked, sensing there was more to the conversation. "Wait a second, did you mention a meeting with the Chairman tomorrow?"

"That's the second thing I wanted to discuss. It's about the special request you made regarding the guild matter. There's been an update, and the Chairman would like to meet with you tomorrow to discuss it," Chief Woo explained.

"I see. Alright, I'll be there," Naruto agreed, ending the call. He leaned back into his sofa once more, but was quickly interrupted by the buzz of his phone, signaling a new text message.

📱 Emma: When Are You Returning Back to Korea?

"Huh, I guess I forgot to let her know I'm back. Well, it's only been about two hours," he muttered to himself, then quickly typed out a simple reply.

📱 Naruto : Already back. Come check if you don't believe me 😏

📱 Emma: That's quite bold of you, Mr. S-Rank. But I might just take you up on that offer... after you explain how you got back so fast. The news is still showing you in Bangladesh 🤔

📱 Naruto: I have my ways. But if you want to know more... my door's open 😏

📱 Emma : Wait…

After reading the last message, Naruto put his phone back down at the table in front of him , as the message said, waited for her to arrive.

Moments later, the sound of doorbell rang, as Naruto stood up and walked up to the door to open it.

Opening the door, Naruto found Emma standing there in a cream-colored oversized sweater hanging off one shoulder and black high-waisted jeans. Her dark brown waves fell just past her shoulders, slightly disheveled, and her brown eyes sparkled with a mix of curiosity and mischief. A knowing smirk played on her lips as she stood there in her white house slippers.

"That was fast," Naruto commented, leaning against the doorframe with an amused expression.

"You said, the door is open," she said,"but, technically I had to ring the doorbell," Emma retorted playfully, stepping past him into the apartment. "So, are you going to explain how you're already back when the news is still showing footage of you in Bangladesh?"

Naruto closed the door behind her, returning to his spot on the sofa. "Want something to drink first?"

"No deflecting," Emma said, settling into the armchair across from him. "I want answers. Did you really clear that gate in under thirty minutes?"

"Twenty-three minutes, actually," Naruto replied casually, earning a raised eyebrow from Emma. "As for getting back..." He paused, considering how to explain it. "Let's just say I have a special transportation technique."

"A technique?" Emma leaned forward, interest evident in her expression. "What kind of technique lets you travel across continents in hours?"

"More like seconds," Naruto corrected with a slight smirk. "It's called Flying Thunder God Technique. I can instantly teleport to any place where I've placed a special marker."

Emma stared at him for a moment, processing this information. "So you're telling me you can just... teleport? Anywhere?"

"Well, only where I've placed markers. But yes, essentially."

"That's..." Emma shook her head, laughing softly. "You know, just when I think I've figured out how powerful you are, you reveal something new that's completely ridiculous."

Naruto leaned back into the sofa, observing her amused expression. "Now that the interrogation is over, would you like something to drink?"

"Coffee would be nice," Emma replied, making herself more comfortable in the armchair.

"Coffee? At this hour?" Naruto raised an eyebrow.

Emma glanced pointedly at the empty beer bottle on his table. "Really? Beer at this hour?"

"Fair point," Naruto chuckled, standing up. "I'll make you some coffee."

"You can make coffee?" There was a hint of skepticism in her voice.

"I'm a man of many talents," he said with a smirk. "Making coffee happens to be one of them." He started walking towards the kitchen, then called over his shoulder, "Make yourself comfortable."

Instead of staying put, Emma followed him to the kitchen. "Actually, I think I'll keep you company. Wouldn't want you to mess up my coffee," she teased.

"Oh? Supervising my coffee-making skills?" Naruto asked, reaching for the coffee maker.

"Maybe I just enjoy the conversation," Emma replied, leaning against the kitchen counter. "Plus, I'm curious about how you make your coffee."

Naruto began preparing the coffee with practiced movements, measuring the grounds while water heated up. Emma watched him with genuine interest, perched against the counter.

"So, what else can you do besides teleporting?" she asked, her eyes following his movements.

Naruto smiled mysteriously. "Want to see something interesting?"

At Emma's curious nod, he lifted his hand slightly. A soft, barely visible energy rippled through the air. The coffee beans floated gently from their container, measuring themselves perfectly into the filter while a spoon stirred itself in another cup. Various items moved smoothly through the air, orchestrated by subtle movements of his fingers.

Emma's eyes widened in fascination. "That's... incredible," she breathed, watching as everything moved with precise control.

"It is..." Naruto commented.

"Show-off," Emma laughed, but her eyes remained fixed on the floating items. "You could've just made coffee normally, you know."

"Where's the fun in that?" Naruto grinned, carefully lowering the cups onto the counter. "Besides, your reaction was worth it."

The rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the kitchen as Naruto finished preparing their drinks with a few final touches, this time using his hands instead of his abilities.

"By the way..." Emma started speaking, as she brought out her phone while sitting at the kitchen island. "Is this also one of your techniques?" She asked while pulling up an image of Naruto outside the Bangladesh gate. In the photo, he stood in the pouring rain, but something was odd about it - the raindrops seemed to hang suspended in the air around him, never quite touching him. They created an ethereal pattern, like a dome of floating crystals caught in a moment of time.

"Ah, that. It's called Infinity," Naruto replied casually as the coffee cups floated towards them. "Creates a barrier around me. Nothing can reach me unless I allow it."

"Nothing can reach you?" Emma asked, a playful glint in her eyes.

"Well, no-"

"Not even me?" she interrupted, her tone teasing but with an underlying curiosity.

Naruto's eyes met hers, a slight smirk playing on his lips. In one fluid motion, he closed the distance between them, his hand gently cupping her cheek as he pressed a soft kiss against her lips. The kiss was brief but charged with emotion, leaving Emma slightly breathless when he pulled away.

"Only you," he murmured, his face still close to hers. "You've always been the exception."

Emma's cheeks flushed pink, but she maintained her composure, a small smile tugging at her lips. "Good to know," she whispered.

Naruto leaned in closer, his breath warm against her ear as he whispered, "The coffee will get cold... you don't want that, do you?"

The intimate proximity sent a slight shiver down Emma's spine, but she managed to maintain her composure despite the blush still coloring her cheeks. With a soft chuckle, she gently pushed him back, creating just enough space between them to reach for her coffee cup.

"Can't let your 'special' coffee go to waste, can I?" she teased, though her voice carried a slight tremor that betrayed the effect he had on her.
