The Lone Sniper: I Was Just Minding My Own Business Sniping Players, and I Ended Up Becoming a Raid Boss

Ch. 24

Chapter 24

July 31st.

Yesterday was busy—I cleared a special mission and participated in a Rank Match.

Today, I'll just play solo and focus on leveling up in comfort.

"This capsule bed feels familiar now~"

Right after logging in, I check the "homework" Sheena-san gave me.

~~~ Homework ~~~
- Level 30 or higher
- Radar 130 or higher, Armor 30 or higher
- Equip the expansion part "Enhanced Radar" (sold in the shop)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This homework was sent via message.

Apparently, if your radar is 130 or higher, you can generally detect everything except high-stealth roles (like Scouter).

I have 9 status points, so I allocate 6 of them to radar to raise it to 130.

Next is armor.

With an armor stat of 20, a full-auto handgun can reduce a part's durability to zero in just two shots.

But with 30, it seems you can endure two shots.

There are also several attacks you can barely survive with armor at 30.

So, I assign the remaining 3 status points to armor.

--------------------------------

I can meet the level and status requirements by hunting lots of Machine World Beasts.

The problem is the expansion part.

According to the manual:

"Expansion parts can be obtained from shops, mission clear rewards, and drops.

Equipping them expands the capabilities of Space Girl."

That's still a bit vague.

I'll visit the shop and check them out in person.

Second visit to the Infinite Space shop.

I head to the expansion parts sales section.

Just like with weapons, the expansion parts float in preservation-liquid-filled cases.

They all look like gemstones.

"There it is."

Expansion Part: Enhanced Radar......Sniper & Scouter exclusive.

Expands radar detection range from 250m to 500m.

Uses 2 equipment slots.

(This is strong......!)

Doubling the detection range is insane.

For a sniper with high radar stats, this is a must-have item.

No wonder it was part of the homework.

But it's expensive—50,000 chips.

I look at other expansion parts too:

- Weapon Plus......Increases weapon equipment slots by 2.

- Guardian Deity......Gardner exclusive.

Adds 10% of the user's armor stat to the armor value of Shield Pieces and Shields.

Uses 2 equipment slots.

- Weight Minus......Bomber exclusive.

Reduces weapon weight by 70%.

- Swimming Armor......Negates stat debuff effects in zero gravity.

- Heat-Resistant Armor......Reduces heat damage.

Also reduces damage from laser-type weapons by 20%.

Essential for atmospheric re-entry.

For those who want to feel the atmosphere on their skin instead of using a spaceship.

- Jamming Armor......Does not appear on radar of machines more than 200m away.

Uses 2 equipment slots.

- Back Eye......Installs a tiny, nearly invisible camera on the back of the head.

A must-have if ordinary players want to experience back shots.

- ○○ Enhancement Core......Increases specified stat by 30.

- ○○ Enhancement Core Mark 2......Increases specified stat by 80.

Uses 2 equipment slots.

* Duplicate expansion parts cannot be equipped.

Whoa. They're all strong—so radar enhancement isn't necessarily the strongest.

The existence of a clear counter part—Jamming Armor—makes Enhanced Radar a balanced choice.

You can't equip both at once, which is a clever design.

"Guardian Deity" is just plain broken.

And "Weapon Plus" that expands slots is pretty impressive too.

These are just the expansion parts sold in the first town...

(Oh. So the reason Sheena-san had nine weapons was because she used Weapon Plus to increase her slots.)

That means Sheena-san has one more weapon.

(I'll hold off for now.)

If I buy Enhanced Radar and one more part, I'll need 70,000 to 100,000 chips.

I'll come back after earning more money.

Next, I head to the weapon sales section.
