The Lord Demon King is Unfathomable!

Chapter 273: These Are No Ordinary Lizardmen—We Must Strike with Full Force! (Part 4)

Upon hearing that an important task was to be entrusted to him, Alakdo felt a surge of joy, hissing softly. Several small spiders quickly crawled from under his arms and deftly spread out a map in front of him.

Staring with his six eyes to confirm the location on the map, Alakdo's spider body trembled as he respectfully bowed, his voice booming like thunder.

"As you command, Your Majesty... please rest assured! This kind of simple and crude work perfectly suits us of the Weaving Shadow Clan. I guarantee that in less than three days, the forest before you will be transformed into a backyard of the Great Graveyard!"

Watching the highly motivated Alakdo, Luo Yan couldn't help but worry that he might overexert himself, so he added something from behind.

"You don't have to make it my backyard. I just need a launch site… Just build it according to the previous standard."

Alakdo: "As you command!!!"

The loyal Alakdo never hesitated to obey Lord Demon King's orders. After receiving the command, he immediately rushed into the forest outside the military camp.

Before long, a large group of Earth Cave Spiders accompanied by the undead army formed of Lizardman corpse ghosts, surged toward the Sun Step Mountain Range.

Looking at the dust rising in the distance, Luo Yan smiled faintly, paused for a moment, and then softly called out to his side.

"Thanos."

As soon as the words fell, a graceful yet eerie shadow silently coalesced beside him, dutifully bowing.

"Your Majesty, you summoned me?"

Thanos' voice was filled with deep trepidation and caution, forming a stark contrast with Alakdo, who seemed eager to offer his heart to Lord Demon King.

Luo Yan glanced at the solemn Thanos, a subtle smile playing at his lips.

He was well aware of why Thanos was so fearful—Zakro Dragon Elder's death had evidently caused this inherently suspicious individual quite a psychological shock.

"Have you ever served as an envoy?"

Thanos hesitated for a moment, then replied softly.

"Uh, no, Your Majesty."

Luo Yan said casually.

"Then would you like to try? Occasionally adopting different identities can be interesting."

Thanos wanted to say he had no interest, but he could feel that Lord Demon King didn't want to hear that answer, so he reluctantly responded.

"Willing to go through fire and water for Your Majesty."

Seeing Thanos so tense and ready to face a great enemy, Luo Yan smiled faintly, his voice gentle yet undeniable.

"I need you to serve as my envoy to the Holy Armor Dragon Kingdom and convey our will to them—"

"Submit, or face annihilation."

"The wording is up to you; with your wit, I shouldn't need to teach you."

Thanos' expression froze slightly, his face instantly filled with hesitation and difficulty, like someone suffering from constipation.

He stuttered for a while, then bowed his head and whispered advice.

"Your Majesty... since you don't intend to negotiate, why not just attack them directly? Those Lizardmen have attacked us several times... In my opinion, talking is redundant."

Afraid that Lord Demon King would doubt his loyalty, he quickly added a vow behind his statement.

"If Lord Demon King plans to wage war, I am willing to serve as the vanguard and fight for you endlessly!"

He swore he wasn't just afraid.

Rather, he felt it was utterly unnecessary.

Plus, that's someone else's capital; who knows if it hides a few Chosen Ones wielding Divine Artifacts?

The power of Divine beings is far more unreasonable than the Extraordinary Power, like that crazy woman from the Campbell family—clearly only Bronze Level, yet she fights evenly with anyone wielding the Legendary Sword.

More so, hordes of ants can bite a giant to death.

Luo Yan listened without speaking and laughed.

A joke.

He certainly knew that attacking directly would work, but that was to test if the opponents had hidden cards at their disposal.

According to captives, their general Kuchal is a "Holy General Level" strongman, belonging to the fourth rank, and above that is "Divine General Level."

He also wanted to know if Assam City hides some unbelievable Divine Artifact especially to figure out if the Dragon God truly disregards his people.

To date, these Lizardmen seem astonishingly weak.

Better to be cautious.

"I'm sending you. Just follow orders." Luo Yan glanced casually at Thanos, his voice calm.

At the moment the Demon King's gaze fell on him, Thanos shuddered as if electrified, swallowing his saliva with difficulty.

"As you command… Your Majesty."

Compared to diving into the heart of an army, clearly facing the unfathomable Lord Demon King made him feel more fear.

He dared not disobey Luo Yan's orders.

Thanos retreated silently, his cloaked silhouette transforming into a vaporous black smoke, dissipating noiselessly.

At the same time Thanos withdrew, Sarah approached Luo Yan quietly, stepping gracefully.

Looking up at the Demon King's side profile, Sarah whispered softly.

"Lord Demon King, such a minor affair you could really entrust to me..."

Underneath that serene face lay a faint sense of loneliness, like a neglected cat, visibly concerned yet reluctant to show it.

Luo Yan immediately understood her thoughts, smiling as he gently patted her head.

"Don't worry, there will be occasions when you must act... as for minor matters like this, let Thanos handle it. It's a test I'm setting for him."

Thanos, this two-faced fellow, must be used like this, whereas his own cat, it's enough to practice backflips and catch mice.

When truly risky tasks arise, he wouldn't trust her with them.

Sarah looked bewilderedly at Lord Demon King, unable to comprehend, yet seeing him insist, she nodded obediently without further protest.

In fact, she had been following Lord Demon King since earlier, guarding around him like a shadow, yet still hadn't sensed Thanos' presence.

That guy is indeed quite formidable.

It makes sense for the Demon King to entrust him with such an important task.

While feeling regret, Sarah was determined to train even more relentlessly, aspiring to help Lord Demon King soon and become a capable person in return for his kindness.

Watching the silent Sarah, Luo Yan felt gratified yet couldn't help but sigh deeply.

His subordinates were amusing indeed.

The Platinum Level ones were cautious, hesitant, afraid that blood might splatter on themselves, while the Fine Steel and silver ones shouted for battle, eager to sacrifice themselves and offer their hearts immediately.

If they could balance each other out, it would be perfect.

At this moment, Octo, responsible for patrol duties outside the camp, approached from the main gate, kneeling on one knee to report in a low voice.

"Your Majesty, there is a group of Lizardmen requesting an audience outside. They claim to be an envoy from the Sand Ridge Tribe, originating from the desert region in central Gana Continent."

Luo Yan raised his brows slightly, a smile tugging at his lips.

"Here to seek an alliance again?"

Octo shook his head, his tone respectful.

"They did not mention alliance. Rather, they expressed willingness to submit."

Pausing, he noted the intrigued Demon King and solemnly added.

"Additionally, they offer the head of the Holy Armor Dragon Kingdom envoy to you."
