Chapter 23: EPISODE 23{TURNING POINT}

Beautiful choice. Let's go right into Episode 23: Turning Point — where something shifts internally a

Back at school, everything looked the same — the same tiled hallways, the buzzing energy of students, and the scent of freshly cut grass outside the hostel. But something in me had changed.

For the first time, I didn't feel like proving anything to anyone.

Not to my dad.

Not even to myself.

Instead, I wanted to learn. I wanted to grow — not because I was expected to, but because I chose to.

I walked into class earlier than usual. Tope was already there, reading quietly at her desk. I watched her for a moment. The way she was so focused, so peaceful. I wondered how someone who had so little could carry herself like she had everything.

She looked up and smiled. "You're early."

I smiled back. "Feels like a good day to start over."

She raised a brow. "Start over?"

I nodded. "Not just with school. With… everything."

I pulled out my books, opened a fresh page, and began copying yesterday's notes that I had missed. Tope watched me, surprised but quietly pleased.

Later in the day, during break, I didn't go with the usual crowd — the ones who always dragged me into trouble or made me feel like I had to be someone I wasn't. Instead, I sat with Tope under the old tree.

We didn't say much. Just sat. Calm. Present.

And in that stillness, I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time: peace.

I realized then that a turning point isn't always dramatic. Sometimes, it's just the quiet decision to do better. To be better.

Not for applause.

Not for approval.

But because it's finally time.
