The Multiverse Hunter

Chapter 189: Chapter 189

Nearly every player in the Slum was watching the weekly review.

"The werkly review will start with the missions that returned terrible results.", the excited mood instantly disappeared as the weekly news of horror came along.

"World: The Witcher

Players Sent: 1600

Players Survived: 60"

"Oh my god…"

"My goodness how can this be…"

"What was the world mission?"

Murmur spread all around the Slum centre as the horrifying numbers were displayed on the interface.

"1600 players sent to the same world and 1540 died. Why would a mission like this pop up in the Slum? What are they doing?", Catherine said out loud.

"They must have been dropped into a battlefield since the Witcher is a medium level world…", Ali commented as he was intrigued by what happened in that world.

'I'd rather they sent me there than shitty Attack on Titan borefest', Ali thought to himself.

"It's not just the difficulty of the world but also the shear number of players sent on the same mission, this only happens on higher levels.", Catherine said, both of their eyes were stuck on the interface as it displayed a new text.

"World: Sword art Online

Players sent: 85

Players returned: 0"

"It only gets worse…", Catherine commented as she sighed thinking of all the poor souls that died without being able to fight back.

"That will be all for the failed world events. Now onto the highlights of the week."

The announcement got a loud cheering from the crowd around the tower…

'That's not the end of it…', Ali thought to himself as he waited for the grades to come out.

"World: Jujutsu Kaisen

Players sent: 115

Players returned: 98

Grade: B

Most valuable player: The Chosen One"

"I told you I'm on there baby ah?", Zain nudged Ashley with a smile on his face

"He's good ain't he? I heard every guild is chasing for him to join them", Catherine said to Ali hoping fro a reaction out of him but all she got was a smirk and silence.

"World: Cyberpunk

Players sent: 207

Players returned: 104

Grade: B +

MVP: The Chosen One"

A loud gasp reverberated all around the arena as Zain got his second MVP on the interface, this was a feat that even the strongest apostles couldn't get to.

"Your really amazing…", Ashley complemented the happy Zain and they both went back to watching the interface.

"Second one…That's happened seven times total in my time here", Catherine said to Ali.

"Not bad…I'm interested what powers he got so far…", Ali commented.

"Why? Do you wanna fight him?", Catherine asked.

"Not really…More like i'm interested in the rewards players get from all the different worlds, it's entertaining to see all the supernatural powers on display.", Ali replied with a nod back from Catherine.

"Also…", Ali looked back at the interface, "It wouldn't be a fight, more like an execution", Catherine eyes widened slightly, she'd heard rumours about Ali but never confirmed them by asking him.

"World: Zombie Apocalypse

Players sent: 130

Players returned: 44

Grade: B+

MVP: Ali"

CLAP CLAP CLAP

Catherine started clapping softly congratulating Ali for his first MVP, "This is special Ali, it's your first MVP. One of many to come hopefully", Catherine said with a smile.

"Thank you…Boring world though", Ali said remembering the three days he spent in the apocalypse.

"It's him isn't it?", Zain asked Ashley as he could see a small sparkle in her eyes at reading Ali's name, or maybe it was his jealousy that made him feel like Ashley cared more for Ali's MVP than his.

A man's ego can cloud his judgement…

"Yes…", Ashley responded without taking her eyes of the screen. Zain squeezed his fist that was hidden in his pocket, a blue hue escaped his hand for a second.

"That's the first one…", Mark said to the leader of the fire guild beside him. He had a smile on his face…

"World: Attack on Titan

Players sent: 77

Players returned: 12

Grade: B+

MVP: Ali"

"They actually gave me the same grade as the apocalypse", Ali said out loud as Catherine couldn't believe her eyes.

"Ali you weren't kidding…You might actually get four", she said o him with her hands covering her mouth. The entire restaurant was talking about him, some didn't even know that he was in the same place with them.

"Damn he's strong…", Zain said realising that the worlds Ali was sent to would be difficult to handle since his knowledge wouldn't help him as much in such worlds.

'Giant Titans and zombies don't care for my words…', he thought.

"Your better than him", Ashley said with a serious tone as she held his hand, 'It's important his confidence isn't crushed', she thought looking at Zain.

"World: Elden ring

Players sent: 1

Players Returned: 1

Grade: A +

MVP: Ali"
