Chapter 47: Lu He Dared Not Even Cry Out
In a few steps, Liu Jin was already in front of Tang Rao, glowering with both eyes, looking down at Tang Rao from on high.
Tang Rao remained nonchalant, sitting in his chair, idly jiggling his leg.
Because the door was open, a lot of people heard the commotion and had already gathered at the doorway.
"Liu Jin? Sorry, but I really haven't heard of you. What, are you some kind of big shot?" Tang Rao asked.
The onlookers at the door all broke out in a sweat for Tang Rao, thinking how he dared to barge into the room without even knowing who Liu Jin was.
Young man, are you courting death?
If we're talking about Liu Jin, he's definitely a big deal.
He's got a blustering arrogance about him, of course, and his background isn't too shabby, either.
"Do you know about the Tiandu Lu Family, you moron? I tell you, you wouldn't understand. Let me make it clear to you, Lu He, that Lu Family's young master, is my cousin. Even if I cripple you right here and now, no one can do anything to me! Got it?!" Liu Jin roared at Tang Rao.
Lu He's cousin?
Tang Rao was startled at first, then laughed.
How coincidental things in this world can be! Isn't it just so?
Lu He, how could I possibly not know him?
"To be honest, I really do know Lu He." Tang Rao suddenly burst out laughing.
Liu Jin was slightly taken aback. Did this idiot actually know his cousin?
"You know him, but he doesn't know you, moron!" Liu Jin cursed again, convinced he was right.
How could someone like Lu He possibly know this nobody?
Tang Rao had already stood up by now, noticeably taller than Liu Jin, with a face that completely overshadowed the latter.
"Slap!" Tang Rao acted as soon as he spoke, slapping Liu Jin to the ground with a huge swing.
The hit was heavy, leaving Liu Jin a bit dazed.
Of course, Liu Jin wasn't the only one dazed—so were the onlookers.
No one expected Tang Rao to suddenly strike, and with such force. That slap sounded as if it could shake the heavens.
"How dare you hit me!" After a good while, Liu Jin managed to stand up, holding his swollen half of the face.
"Why wouldn't I dare?" Tang Rao retorted, then slapped him again.
Poor Liu Jin, no sooner had he stood up than he was knocked down again.
Blood bubbled from his mouth, and who knows how many teeth were shattered.
It sure looked pitiful.
"Why don't you give Lu He a call and ask if his face has healed yet? This trash got slapped by me and ended up lying on the ground like a dog, not even daring to peep. Who do you think you are!" Tang Rao glared with a fierce authority that instantly intimidated everyone around.
Liu Jin was dumbstruck—Lu He got slapped by this guy...
How... how could that be.
Jiang Nuanqiu looked deeply at Tang Rao; she knew about this and had even witnessed it.
Tang Rao had indeed given Lu He a hefty slap, and Lu He indeed couldn't do anything about Tang Rao.
"Now, I'll give you back those words from before. Disappear within three seconds, or else, don't blame me for not holding back," Tang Rao warned Liu Jin.
He originally didn't want to hit Liu Jin, but who let him claim he was Lu He's cousin.
For Lu He, I may not have a good way to deal with him yet, but I'll still collect some interest.
And you just happened to come up to me.
Liu Jin quickly scrambled up from the ground and, holding his face, prepared to run.
"Wait up." Just as Liu Jin had nearly taken two steps, Tang Rao's voice came again.
Hearing Tang Rao's voice, Liu Jin didn't dare take another step; who knew if another fierce slap was on its way?
"Tell Lu He that my sports car was damaged, tell him to come over and pay up," Tang Rao said.
Everyone was confused, and Liu Jin was also completely befuddled.
Why the heck does Tang Rao's sportscar accident need to be compensated by Lu He? Are you trying to swindle money from Lu He?
"You can get lost now." Tang Rao waved his hand dismissively.
Liu Jin, as if granted an amnesty, bolted out at lightning speed, vanishing in an instant.
"That's it, the show's over. Everyone disperse," Tang Rao turned around and shouted at the onlookers by the door.
Instantly, the crowd scattered.
Nobody dares to offend this nemesis, he even dared to slap Liu Jin; he's just too awesome.
"Nuanqiu, you… you actually have such a fierce friend." As for Tian Tian, she scurried in and said to Jiang Nuanqiu.
"Did you tell him?" Jiang Nuanqiu asked Tian Tian.
"Yeah, he said he was coming to find you and that he's your friend. I thought to see if he could help you. That Liu Jin is simply too abominable, Nuanqiu, if it doesn't work out, let's just quit our job," Tian Tian pouted, looking unhappy.
"Thank you." Jiang Nuanqiu expressed her thanks to both Tian Tian and Tang Rao.
If it weren't for the two of them, she might have been taken advantage of by Liu Jin.
Even...
"I do owe you an apology though, I promised to come yesterday. However, something came up yesterday, so I was delayed," Tang Rao said with a smile.
"Since Young Master Tang put it that way, I should buy more stuff here," Jiang Nuanqiu replied with a smile.
"Good, then do you have something like a Medicine Furnace here?" Tang Rao directly inquired, as for Dan Fire, he didn't expect such a place to have it.
"Medicine Furnace?" Jiang Nuanqiu and Tian Tian were both taken aback.
That's quite unique taste; they've never seen a customer who wanted to buy a Medicine Furnace.
"Please wait a moment; I'll check for you." Jiang Nuanqiu walked over to the computer and rapidly searched the entire inventory of Baofeng Pavilion.
"Young Master Tang, there actually is one," Jiang Nuanqiu looked up two minutes later, "But it is located on the third floor, and my access level isn't high enough."
Tang Rao felt uncomfortable all over; this Baofeng Pavilion is just ridiculous.
When you open a store, just open a store. What's with all these VIP and level restrictions? So annoying!
"Speaking of which, how do we get to the third floor? Don't tell me we have to apply for some high-level VIP again?" Tang Rao inquired.
Just now, to go up to the second floor, he had already bought over a hundred thousand worth of useless things.
"The third floor area is for Baofeng Pavilion's special-invite customers, only a very small number of people can get this sort of access. It cannot be processed in-store; it should be available only to those who are familiar with the owner," Jiang Nuanqiu explained.
"This is so freaking annoying!" Tang Rao muttered.
"Who is the owner here?" Tang Rao asked.
"I'm not entirely sure," Jiang Nuanqiu shook her head, "But I know this is a property of Cui Department Store."
Cui Department Store?
Wow, isn't that the business of that brat Cui Sifang's family?
"Fine, I'll make a call." Tang Rao pulled out his mobile phone from his pocket and dialed Cui Sifang's number.
Soon, the call was answered.
"Sifang, it's Tang Rao. How's it going? Does your face still hurt from the other day?" Tang Rao asked.
On the other end of the phone, Cui Sifang had a somewhat ferocious expression.
What does this violent maniac, Tang Rao, want now!
"I hear that Baofeng Pavilion is a property of Cui Department Store, right?" Tang Rao asked.
Cui Sifang was slightly taken aback; why was Tang Rao suddenly asking about this?
"Yes." Cui Sifang still responded; there was no point in denying such a thing.
"That's fine, name your price. I want it," Tang Rao's voice was firm and cold, clearly not a tone for negotiation.
