The President's Child Is A Chimera

"Here's your phone. You haven't left anything behind, right?" Ryan asked as he pressed on the doorbell once they arrived at Arla's place. It was quite late now, so he couldn't just drop her and leave.

Sienna nodded and said, "Yes. Thanks for bringing me home."

Freya was the one to open the gate. "Ryan, it's good that you're here. Please come inside. I have some good news for you."

Arla dragged Sienna to her room to ask about how things went. "So, how did it go? Did that lady do anything weird to you?" 

Freya and Ryan were in the living room. This was his first time entering inside the house. 

Freya started, "So here is the thing. The person that was supposed to be the surrogate mother fainted once while we were at the hospital, and it was later discovered that she was already pregnant. But I've found someone else for the job. She's..."

"There's no need for that anymore." Ryan stopped her before she could finish.

"Why? Have you found another agency, or is Sevina going to do it herself?"

Ryan shook his head and replied, "No, I haven't found anyone and my fiancée isn't going to do anything."

"Okay, then, are you not going to do the surrogacy again? I thought you said that it was urgent and that your old man was very serious this time around."

"It's just too late for that now. Someone is already in lead. The old man just meant to screw me up, and now there's not much that I can do about it anymore." Ryan explained with a solemn look. He was referring to Sevina's pregnancy, which he was sure would be for his cousin.

"If that is all, then I'm leaving, but as a compensation, I want you to give me every intel that you have on your friend and her ex before Monday. Every little detail." He added and then left, leaving Freya to wonder what his game is.

It was a bit chaotic on Monday morning as almost every news article was on the Alpha's heir and the beta lady that he was with last Saturday night. The were pictures of the two shot from different angles.

"Whoa! We're in trouble." Arla exclaimed immediately when she saw the news feed on her phone. She quickly left her room to her friend's.

"Sienna, you may want to see this." Arla handed her phone to her.

Sienna was very surprised by the news articles. Seeing her and Alpha Ryan's pictures make it to the news was not the surprising part, but rather what was written under their pictures.

She tried to look at some of the comments under them, and they weren't good at all. 

"Do not pay attention to them. They're only jealous that you got to be with the number one most sought-after bachelor over the weekend. It's past 6:00am, so hurry out of bed and let's get ready for work."

Sienna kept receiving a lot of calls from her many people even before they had left the house, so she had to switch off her phone.

Some even went on to call Arla's line once they couldn't reach her.

"Hello, babe. We're on our way." Arla said to Idan, her boyfriend, who is also their supervisor at work.

"No, baby. You two should go back. Do not come into the office today. All our gates including the back gates are swarmed up with reporters. You can come alone later; otherwise, you'll be harassed if you're with her."

"OK babe. Thanks." Arla cuts the call and then tells the taxi driver to take them back home, but they were too late; some reporters were already gathered at her gate by then.

"What do we do now? Should we go to Freya's?" Sienna asked worriedly. She never imagined that just being in a photo with Alpha Ryan could get here into such a mess.

"No. I'm sure they're there too."

"Then should we go to my dad's?" Sienna suggested.

Arla looked at her friend like she had lost her marbles. "Sienna! Are you alright? Don't you know the people that you call family?" 

"I don't know. I'm just so confused about all this." Sienna said apologetically.

"Hmmm. We could've gone to your grandma's place since she's still at the hospital, but I fear they could be there also. It's fine. Just let me think." 

Arla then called her boyfriend and asked if they could crush at his place for the time being. Fortunately, she already had a key to Idan's place, so that saved them.

"Sir, we couldn't find her anywhere. Both at home and the office. We were told that she and her friend had left for work, but they still haven't reported to work yet." 

"Okay." Keshav, Ryan's head bodyguard, said and ended the call. 

The call was on loud speaker, so Ryan had also heard the report. He had sent his men to both Arla's place and their office to go and pick Sienna up before the reporters started to harass her, but they had missed them.

"Tell them to come back. It's good that they've been able to avoid those gossipmongers at least."

Right then Ryan's study door opened, and in came Alpha Seamus. 

"Are they bringing her yet?" He asked. He was the one who had put pressure on him to go for the girl before she gets harassed by the reporters.

"No, gramps. But I'll ask Freya and see."

"OK. Let me know once you do. Being pregnant under too much stress is not good for her and the babies."

"And how should that be any of our business, old man?" Ryan wondered why his grandpa was being all nosy into the business of the girl that he had only met once.

"Hmm!" The Alpha sighed. "Ryan, even if she's only a surrogate, providing protection for her and your babies should be your topmost priority now. I thought we raised you better than this." The old Alpha chastised him and turned to leave to his own room.

"What are you talking about, old man? Who is...oh."Ryan stopped with his question as he then realised how his grandpa would assume that Sienna's pregnancy was his.

"How...how did you find us?" Sienna stuttered. 

Arla had gone out to buy something, so she had to answer the door. She was very surprised to see Alpha Ryan when she checked through the peephole.

"Come with me to our place." Ryan more or less demanded.

"I'm sorry, but I can't. You're the reas...let go of...hand!"

Ryan dragged her into the backseat of his car, and they left. 

He had managed to find her through Freya and sent his guards, but they reported that no one answered the door, so he had to come himself. And he wouldn't take "no" for an answer. Not after all the calls from his old man and his nagging. 

"This is kidnapping, Alpha Ryan. You're taking me against my will..." 

Sienna went mute once Ryan turned to look at her with a cold stern look. It was only for a brief moment, but she didn't dare to utter another word until they got their destination.

Sienna was stunned once she saw the familiar landscape and its expansive Victorian-style mansion. Its picturesque exterior is adorned with intricate details and ornate architecture. 

This mansion is not only familiar, but it's also the most famous mansion in all of Ireland, and it's popularly known as the "Purple House" instead of the official name, "McDermott Villa."

Just like Sienna, many people know about the purple house because of how the media is always interested in the affairs of the McDermotts, and this is their main family home. It's where the Alpha resides.

Sienna feasted her eyes on the beautiful scenery and did not realise when the car had stopped and Alpha Ryan was out and already heading inside.

She also got out and followed one of the guards into the main building. 

"Please follow me." A female servant said to her and led her into the building. There was a long and wide corridor with rooms on each side all the way to the living room.

"Please have a seat. I'll have someone bring you some refreshments while you wait." 

Not long after, a different male servant brought a tray of some pastries and a cocktail beverage.

As for Ryan, he vanished to go and see his dad and grandpa in the study as soon as he had come in.

"Who are yo...oh you're that girl from last weekend, right? What are you doing here? Was it my son that brought you here?" Mary asked, quite surprised to see the beta girl here in their villa.
