The Primordial Sovereign of Chaos

Chapter 14: Falling into the Void

Jiang Chen's body plummeted through the abyss, spiraling into an endless sea of shattered space and swirling storms of chaos. The world around him bent, folded, and shattered, as if reality itself was being torn apart. The entity's voice echoed in his mind, a whisper that crawled through his very bones.

"To control chaos… you must endure oblivion."

His instincts screamed at him to fight back, to resist, but there was no ground, no sky, no force to push against—only the infinite abyss.

His breath came in short bursts, his Chaos Core pulsating violently in his chest. The power inside him was reacting to this void, resonating with it. His mind sharpened.

This place… isn't meant to kill me. It's testing me.

If this was a trial, he would conquer it.

His amber eyes, streaked with gold, flashed as he focused inward, commanding his chaotic energy.

"If I can't control where I fall…" His lips curled into a smirk. "Then I'll control how I land."

He clenched his fists and unleashed his Force Intent.

BOOM!

The space around him fractured as his body stopped plummeting. Instead of falling, he was now standing on nothingness, his energy stabilizing the chaotic void beneath him. He had shaped his own footing out of pure will.

The swirling abyss stilled, the entity's voice resonating once more.

"You grasp at control… but control is an illusion in the face of Chaos."

The void rippled, and suddenly—dozens of figures emerged from the darkness.

Jiang Chen's muscles tensed as the figures took shape.

They were twisted reflections of himself—each one formed entirely of Chaos Energy. Their golden eyes glowed eerily, their spears crackling with the same raw force he wielded.

He exhaled sharply.

"So that's how it is."

This was the final test.

He wasn't facing an enemy.

He was facing himself.

The first phantom Jiang Chen lunged, its spear cutting through the air with unnatural precision.

Jiang Chen twisted his body, dodging by an inch, but before he could counter, a second phantom appeared behind him, its palm already aimed at his spine.

BOOM!

A wave of chaotic force exploded against his back, sending him flying. He twisted midair, planting his spear into the void to halt his momentum.

The moment he landed, three more phantoms attacked at once.

Too fast!

His instincts roared, and he activated his Chaos Core.

A surge of raw power erupted from his body, and the space around him distorted. The phantoms hesitated for a split second—enough for Jiang Chen to counterattack.

He stepped forward, his speed doubled, his spear flashing in arcs of silver and gold.

Clang!

He clashed with the nearest phantom, the impact sending shockwaves through the void. Sparks of chaotic energy burst outward as their weapons locked.

Jiang Chen gritted his teeth.

"I am not bound by Chaos. I wield it!"

His spear shattered the phantom's weapon, and with a single strike—

He obliterated it.

But the moment it vanished, two more took its place.

Jiang Chen's pupils shrank. Endless. They are endless.

No matter how many he destroyed, more would form.

"Then I won't fight them…" His eyes gleamed. "I'll surpass them."

Instead of clashing, he closed his eyes.

He could feel their movements, their intentions, their energy—they weren't just opponents, they were reflections.

And if they were reflections, then…

He would command them.

His Chaos Core pulsed, and his own energy surged outward.

The phantoms, once aggressive, hesitated—as if recognizing something within him.

Then, slowly—

They knelt.

The entity's voice returned, this time quieter.

"You do not fight Chaos… You rule it."

Jiang Chen opened his eyes.

The chaotic figures had stopped attacking. Instead, they stood before him, motionless. No longer enemies—now, extensions of his will.

He lifted his hand, and they moved as one.

His gaze sharpened. This was no mere test.

This was his ascension.

A deep resonance shook the Chaos Realm. The air cracked, and the abyss around him shifted. He was no longer falling.

He was rising.

BOOOOM!

A pillar of golden-black energy exploded from his body, and the entire Chaos Realm trembled.

His connection to the Chaos Seed deepened.

And then—he understood.

The world around him morphed, the darkness receding.

Jiang Chen found himself standing in a great temple of obsidian and gold.

The air was thick with an ancient presence. The walls were engraved with forgotten runes, their meanings long lost to time.

And at the center—

A throne.

A throne that had not been touched for thousands of years.

He stepped forward, his instincts whispering that this place was meant for him.

Then, from the shadows, a voice spoke.

"You are the first to make it this far…"

Jiang Chen turned sharply.

Standing at the edge of the throne's platform was a figure clad in shifting black-and-gold robes, their face obscured by a veil of energy.

But their presence—

It was like the weight of the heavens pressing down.

Jiang Chen didn't speak. He simply met the figure's gaze and waited.

The figure tilted its head.

"You have inherited something… beyond mortal comprehension. The power of the Ancient Chaos Lord."

Jiang Chen's breath hitched. Chaos Lord?

The figure raised a hand, and the engravings on the walls began to glow.

"You are the heir of the forgotten. The one who will shake the heavens. But with this power… comes consequence."

Jiang Chen narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?"

The figure's voice was almost regretful.

"The moment you set foot outside this realm, the world will feel it. And those who once destroyed the Chaos Lineage… will come for you."

BOOM.

Jiang Chen's Chaos Core surged violently, as if responding to the words.

A premonition struck him.

A battlefield. A storm of cultivators in golden robes. A spear coated in the blood of ancient beings. A sky torn in half.

The War of Chaos.

Jiang Chen clenched his fists.

He had no intention of running.

He had chosen this path.

And if the world wanted to erase him—

Then he would carve his name into history first.

He stepped forward, standing before the throne.

The figure nodded.

"Then your fate is sealed."

The temple began to collapse, the walls disintegrating into golden dust.

The moment he reached the throne—

The world around him shattered.
