"Wow,wow, kayla calms down," Avia said as she caught my slumping body on the air,"I didn't mean change of plans like you are not coming with me to London,but a change of plans like our travel schedule."

I looked at Avia for a second,then hit her on the head. "Seriously,I thought by now,your way of putting wordings together must have improved,but I see how wrong I was." I snapped at her

"Sorry... so are you ready,we don t have much time." she glances at her wristwatch

"What do you mean ready? The flight is still tomorrow,right?"

"That s the change I was referring to. They d been an emergency at home and I need to be there today. So I was told to prepare the necessary documents needed." she said,showing the papers in her bag,"and our flight is scheduled for 11:30 am,and now It's just 11:00,we only have thirty minutes left." she glances at me."The driver outside will be taking us straight to the airport. So are you ready, kayla ?" she replied

"But,I ... I ..." I looked from mother to Avia then to mother again,I haven t even informed my siblings about this, and I have yet to say my final goodbyes to my father. What is going on? I was in a panic state. I can't believe after fighting with my mother over this trip,one I was so much looking forward to,now that it is time to go,I am frightened. Thousands of thoughts flew past my mind,and it wasn't a pretty one,I kept turning and walking to and fro,my heart beating heavily against my chest.

Sighing kayla," mom reached out to me,"It's okay,I will inform your father and siblings about your sudden departure,and you just go and make your mother proud. Call home once you are there."

I looked at mom,smiling as I took a deep breath,"but how would I call home? We don t have any mobile." I replied to her,all the more reasons why I wanted to improve our status. My entire family needs a change.

"Oh!" Avia said,and I turned my head,"Here,I was going to give you once we get there, but it looks like your family needs it the most." she said as she handed me a brand-new phone.

I hugged her,"Thank you so much,Avia ,I don t know what I would do without you."

"Oh,It's okay; you are going to pay back, that is."

"But of course." I smiled,"still stingy,"

"Of course,what do you expect?" she asked, grining

I gave the mother the phone,as Avia hurried to the waiting car parked outside and hollered for me to hurry too. With one last hug,I rushed outside. I glance back to see mother on the trace weaving at me with her eyes mousiest with tears,I waved back as I got in the car. As the driver took off,I sobbed like a child,at the back seat of the car.

"Oh,come on,don t be a crying baby. is not as if you won t be seeing them again,not unless you plan not to come back here."

"What? Don t be stupid, Avia ." I said between tears."That thought has never crossed my mind,and it won t ever. As soon as I have gathered a lot of money,I will come back for my family. "

"Oh,that s good. So smile and be happy about this opportunity,after you have achieved all that s you want,you can come for them. It's a good plan." she encouraged

"I know,I just wished I had seen their faces before leaving."

"Well,there will be a lot of opportunity for that,I mean,there is what we call video communication or phone call,and you can always reach or see them through that way."

"Yes,yes, you are right." I sank into the back seat and just signed.

Just as we got to the airport,our flight was called,we ran like mad to the front desk,thank God it was empty,so they attended to us quickly,you could say we got lucky.

we settled into our seats, I sighed in relief,all the tension I had felt right from the moment I got into the car,started to free me, Avia just laughed and before you know it.i falls asleep.

I don t know how long I slept for, but by the time I opened my eyes, Avia was staring down at me smiling stupidly as she whispers "welcome to London." When she saw the look on my face,she grins wider.
