Chapter 18: The Revelation

Emma entered the warehouse, her heart pounding in her chest. The Master was waiting for her, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity.

"So, Emma," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I see you're adjusting well to your new existence."

Emma tried to speak, but her voice caught in her throat. The Master laughed, a cold, mirthless sound.

"You're wondering what your purpose is, aren't you?" he said, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Why you were chosen for this transformation."

The Master paused, savoring the moment.

"You, Emma, are the key to unlocking a new era of human evolution," he said, his voice dripping with fanaticism. "You are the first of a new breed of superhumans."

Emma's mind reeled as the Master's words hung in the air. What did he mean? What kind of superhuman was she supposed to be?
