The Roger Pirates' Rising Star

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Life Skills and Inheritance of Strength

Since Fang Yi caught a glimpse of the strength of Roger and Garp, he had been training even harder. It's not for anything else, just to survive in this world in the future.

However, after spending twenty lottery tickets to win a skill last time, he had drawn two ten - draw sets, but failed to obtain any skills. Instead, he got quite a few miscellaneous items.

Especially the Skill Experience Scrolls. Basically, he would get one in each ten - draw. Coupled with his training during this period, the proficiency of his skill Accuracy finally exceeded half, and he only needed another half of the proficiency to upgrade it.

"Captain, an island is spotted ahead!"

After sailing for about a week, the Roger Pirates finally discovered a small island. But when they landed on it, they found that it seemed to be an uninhabited island.

"Xiaoyi, bring those things over here!" By the beach, the head chef was directing Fang Yi and several other crew members to carry food ingredients and tools, because Captain Roger planned to hold a banquet here later.

So as an intern crew member, Fang Yi naturally had to help out here.

As for Roger and the others, they had already set off to explore the island.

"Xiaoyi! Go and catch a few animals. I'm afraid we won't have enough food for dinner!" Yao Yi, the head chef, looked up at the sky and shouted at Fang Yi with a smile, "Aren't you learning from Yamon? She's the most powerful warrior in the jungle!"

Fang Yi's face darkened. He had only learned how to use a bow and arrow, and he hadn't learned any jungle survival skills!

But this was also a chance for actual combat, so Fang Yi nodded and agreed without hesitation.

Equipping himself with his gear, Fang Yi walked towards the center of the island alone. But he hadn't gone far when he heard roars coming from the center of the island.

"What's this..." Listening to the roars in the distance, Fang Yi knew that Captain Roger and the others were probably hunting some wild beasts. However, he didn't plan to go there. Instead, he intended to take this opportunity to catch some small animals around him. Otherwise, it would be too embarrassing to go back empty - handed.

So after walking towards the central area for some time, Fang Yi climbed up a tree, then nocked an arrow on his bow and waited for the prey to come.

Sure enough, not long after, he heard a lot of noise around him.

This was because the roars of the wild beasts would surely scare out some timid animals. He just needed to wait here and catch them by surprise.

"Here it comes!" Seeing the grass swaying not far away, Fang Yi knew that something was about to come out. So he aimed his bow and arrow at that direction. As soon as the thing emerged, he would shoot it with an arrow.

"Oink~~"

"Whoosh!"

A wild boar as tall as a half - grown man suddenly rushed out of the grass. Fang Yi immediately released the arrow in his hand. The arrow flew towards the panicked wild boar at an extremely high speed.

"Splat!"

The wild boar that had just run out of the grass never expected this kind of greeting. It had no time to stop or change its course, and the arrow directly hit its eye.

"Yes!"

"Although he aimed at the boar's glabella, hitting its eye was still quite good.

The hit wild boar didn't die on the spot. Instead, after letting out a roar, it continued to run around wildly. One of its eyes was hit, so its vision was obstructed. It had already rammed into several big trees.

"Humph! What a lively one! Phew~~" Fang Yi watched the wild boar running around. Naturally, he wouldn't let the prey he'd almost caught get away. So he nocked another arrow and aimed at the boar.

"Whoosh~!"

"Pfft!"

The arrow hit the boar's body, piercing through its tough hide. This made the wildly charging boar slow down, and before it could run a few steps, another arrow hit it again, knocking the boar down.

"See where you can run now!" Fang Yi climbed down from the tree and went up to finish off the still - breathing wild boar. Once bitten, twice shy. He definitely wouldn't make the same mistake again.

He tied up the boar with the rope he carried and left it under a big tree. Then Fang Yi climbed back up the tree to wait for the next prey.

For a whole ship of pirates, just one wild boar wasn't enough to eat!

Moreover, it was rare to come out this time. This was a great place to practice actual combat, and he couldn't waste it.

His skill Precision hadn't triggered even once just now, but he'd still hit the target with all three arrows. This was the result of his daily practice.

Before long, Fang Yi used the same method to catch a pheasant - like creature and another wild boar that was even bigger than the previous one.

That last wild boar was unlucky. When Fang Yi shot it, his skill Precision was triggered, and an arrow went straight through its head.

Dragging the prey with a rope and walking towards the shore, he felt that this was even more tiring than hunting.

"Yo! Took you ages and you only brought back this little?" Seeing Fang Yi struggling to drag the food back, the chef, Yao Yi, laughed and teased.

"So little? Do you know... it took me twice as long to bring them back as it did to catch them! Look at this big wild boar. It's even taller than me!" Fang Yi pointed at the last big wild boar he'd hunted and said helplessly.

"Hey... Not bad! You killed it with a single arrow! The kid's gotten a lot stronger!" Yao Yi glanced at the big wild boar Fang Yi was talking about and said with a light smile.

Such a big wild boar meant nothing to them, but it was indeed quite difficult for Fang Yi, especially to kill it with a single arrow!

But when he saw there were several holes in the smaller wild boar, he asked in surprise, "Why'd you use at least four arrows on this little one?"

"Because it's smaller, so it's more agile!" Fang Yi said as if it were obvious.

Of course, he wouldn't tell the truth. Otherwise, wouldn't that be too embarrassing?

"Alright, you little rascal. This big wild boar is quite good. We'll roast it later. Go cut down two trees!" Yao Yi didn't care too much. Instead, after carefully inspecting the ingredients, he told Fang Yi to go cut down trees.

Fang Yi had a good impression of the chef with hair like a blazing flame. Although the chef often wore a cloak and seldom showed his hands, he was actually kind - hearted.

When they were on the ship, Fang Yi's food was specially prepared by the chef. According to him, since Fang Yi was still a child, he needed to ensure that Fang Yi had sufficient nutrition.

Of course, this had nothing to do with Fang Yi secretly giving him rum!

Well, definitely not!

When Fang Yi dragged two huge tree trunks back, he found that Captain Roger and the others had already returned to the camp. There was also a huge, about ten - meter - long beast lying beside the camp, which looked like a giant lizard.

Later, Fang Yi learned that this beast was probably the king of the island, living in a small lake in the center of the island. It wouldn't have died if it hadn't rushed out to attack Captain Roger and his crew.

"Yo! Little Yi's back! Come on, we've been waiting for you. Let's have a feast!" When Captain Roger saw Fang Yi coming back, he immediately shouted with a big laugh.

As crewmates on the same ship, even though Fang Yi was an apprentice crew member, Captain Roger would always wait for everyone to gather before starting the feast.

Eating roasted meat and drinking wine, everyone was extremely happy.

As pirates, they yearned for freedom and exciting adventures.

"Yo - ho - ho~~ Yo~ ho - ho - ho~~"

"Yo - ho - ho~~ Yo~ ho - ho - ho~~"

"Bring Bink's Sake to your side~"

"Like the sea breeze, go wherever you want~ Ride the waves~"

The song Bink's Sake pushed the atmosphere of the feast to a climax. After staying on the ship for so long, Fang Yi had naturally learned this song. He danced and sang with the crew extremely happily.

Early the next morning, since Fang Yi drank little the night before, he was naturally the first one in the group to wake up. As usual, he first reported to Roger, Rayleigh, and Jabba to get three lottery tickets, and then he began to slowly pack his things.

They ate that huge lizard last night. Even Fang Yi, a child, was forced to drink some wine by those unscrupulous pirates. If Rayleigh hadn't stopped them, Fang Yi might still be in bed now.

After slowly moving all the things that needed to be taken on the ship onto the ship, the sun had long risen, and the pirates gradually woke up one by one.

After everyone woke up, Captain Roger announced that they were setting sail.

It seemed that life was going to turn into the boring life of sailing again. Because everyone had a hangover last night, the pirates were all listless and seemed to have no energy.

So Fang Yi simply found a corner to hide in, then directly opened his backpack. Looking at the ten lottery tickets he had collected again, after a moment of hesitation, he chose to do another ten - draw lottery.

"Congratulations to the host for getting a bottle of rum!"

"Congratulations to the host for getting Small Skill Experience Ticket!"

"Congratulations to the host for getting Magical Fishing Bait!"

"Congratulations to the host for getting Fragment of Medium - sized Skill Experience Ticket"

"Congratulations to the host for getting Music Skill!"

"Congratulations to the host for getting a small piece of bread!"

"Congratulations to the host for getting Small Inheritance of Strength!"

"

"Congratulations, host! You've obtained a bottle of rum!"

"Congratulations, host! You've obtained a fragment of Qi (Armament Color)!"

"Congratulations, host! You've obtained the skill Shipwright!"

"Congratulations, host! You've obtained a fragment of the Sun-Shooting Bow!"

After reading the system's prompts, Fang Yi was a bit stunned. Two skills appeared directly? And he'd also gotten a fragment of both the Qi and the Sun-Shooting Bow?

There was also something called the Inheritance of Strength. He had no idea what it was useful for.

After taking a deep breath to calm himself down, Fang Yi directly opened his character interface:

Name: Fang Yi

Gender: Male

Skills:

Precision (LV.1) 52/100: Your attack has a 10% chance of hitting the enemy with 100% accuracy!

Dodge (LV.1) 12/100: When facing an enemy's attack, you have a 10% chance of directly dodging it!

Life Skills:

Music (Beginner): You have basic music appreciation skills and a preliminary ability to use musical instruments, but you're just a beginner!

Shipwright (Beginner): Your hands have become more dexterous, but you can only do some simple patching when it comes to ship - repair.

"So... these are life skills. They're probably abilities that don't help in combat and are classified as life skills by the system!" After reading the descriptions of the skills, Fang Yi also understood why he'd continuously drawn two skills today.

But it was still better than getting nothing.

After looking at the skills, he opened his backpack. Different from when he'd first gotten the system, his backpack was no longer empty. Instead, there were a whole bunch of miscellaneous things in it.

"Inheritance of Strength (Small): It can enhance your strength!"

After finding the Inheritance of Strength (Small) he'd just drawn and reading the item's explanation, Fang Yi was even more surprised.

"This thing can boost my strength?" Fang Yi took out the Inheritance of Strength (Small) from his backpack and looked at the thing that looked like a chocolate bean in front of him with some suspicion. After hesitating for a moment, he popped it into his mouth.
