Chapter 132: [132] The Master's Duty

Chapter 132: The Master's Duty

That afternoon, Shunsuke and Natsuno had an engaging and pleasant conversation. No author would dislike a reader who genuinely understands and appreciates their work.

Furthermore, Shunsuke himself was not only a talented writer but also the president of a publishing house — a capitalist whose status surpassed that of an author. Even the proud Natsuno felt a sense of pride in having such a fan.

"Speaking of which, Akiyama Shinobu-sensei, you clearly have Kasumi Utako-sensei's Metronome In Love, yet last time you pretended you didn't know about it. Kasumi Utako-sensei was really hurt by that."

After their relationship had warmed up, Shunsuke pulled out a well-read copy of Metronome In Love from the bookshelf and joked.

Natsuno blushed. "I was just going along with the mood at the time... Besides, Kasumi Utako is a nobody. Although her writing is decent, she's written four volumes and still hasn't sold a million copies. She can't strike a proper balance between commercial success and literary value — honestly, she's not worth mentioning."

"That's why she's determined to make you see her in a new light with her next book."

Natsuno casually replied, "Well, I'll be looking forward to it."

Just then, Shunsuke's phone rang. After glancing at the time and caller ID, he realized it was time to leave.

"Then, Akiyama Shinobu-sensei, I have something to attend to. Looking forward to our next meeting."

"Natsuno."

"Hmm?"

"I mean, let's stop calling each other 'sensei' all the time. Just call me Natsuno from now on, and I'll call you Fujii."

"Got it, Natsuno."

"President, about tonight's reservation..."

As Shunsuke left for his business, Suzuna hurried to follow him. Mindful of Natsuno nearby, her words were deliberately suggestive, leaving a lingering meaning.

Shunsuke flicked her forehead. "Getting greedy so soon? Not today. Maybe tomorrow."

Suzuna initially showed disappointment but immediately lit up upon hearing the latter part.

Lacking resistance and relishing the experience, this woman had unknowingly been tamed by Shunsuke — something she certainly hadn't expected at the beginning.

Natsuno watched the enigmatic duo curiously, her gaze moving back and forth between them.

At the entrance of the apartment, five extended Rolls-Royce Phantoms stood silently, their gleaming golden emblems reflecting the light. Standing by the middle car, Sayaka held a neatly tailored suit and a bag, waiting patiently.

Among business vehicles, aside from some limited-edition or handcrafted luxury models, this was the pinnacle of mass-produced luxury cars.

Though Shunsuke's small publishing house technically had enough funds to afford a few of them, it was unnecessary.

After all, one should drive cars befitting their status. If Suzuna went to negotiate deals in this car, people would certainly gossip endlessly. Thus, it mostly sat unused.

Seeing Shunsuke approach in his school uniform, Sayaka frowned, her voice filled with discontent. "As expected, no suit and no proper grooming. Seriously, why would the President choose someone like this as her partner?"

The car window slowly rolled down, revealing Kirari in an elegant evening gown. "Sayaka, help Shunsuke tidy up."

"...Understood."

Sayaka walked over to Shunsuke with a twisted expression, wearing a face that seemed to say, "This is the master's duty."

"Excuse me, miss," she addressed Natsuno, "may I borrow this room for a moment?"

Sayaka looked at Natsuno, her politeness masking an unspoken authority, making refusal impossible.

Natsuno squinted, but ultimately shrugged. "Do as you wish."

Back in Natsuno's apartment, Sayaka pulled Shunsuke into a room, locking the door behind them. She looked at him with a cold expression. "Take it off."

"You're such a thug," Shunsuke muttered.

Shunsuke, naturally, wasn't shy and quickly stripped down to just his underwear.

Sayaka kept a stoic expression on her face as she dressed him in a suit, explaining, "There's not enough time for a custom-made one. The tailor specializes in outfits for the British royal family, and even the president's next order is booked for three months. This suit is a standard size—let me know if anything feels off."

"My body proportions are perfect, it's a great fit."

Shunsuke glanced at himself in the mirror and noticed he looked 30% more handsome. It's true that clothes make the man, but that wasn't the point.

"The real question is, how do you know so much about my body measurements? Are you some kind of stalker? A creep?"

"Not at all!" Sayaka, who had been maintaining a serious expression, finally cracked. "The president asked me to prepare this!"

"Ah, I see. Mystery solved. I knew there was a reason I was invited. Turns out, President Momobami has her sights set on my pure and flawless body. She must be watching me with those sharp eyes of hers, studying every inch, huh?"

"Knock it off."

Sayaka, who was kneeling down to put Shunsuke's shoes on, wore an expression as twisted as a ghost's. Even though this was the "master's task" assigned by the esteemed president, she couldn't bear it any longer!

What was even harder to accept was that, despite her anger, there was occasionally a twisted sense of satisfaction deep down — and that was the real reason Sayaka had broken.

After Shunsuke had gotten dressed, Sayaka pulled out countless cosmetics from a paper bag, one by one, and began carefully applying makeup and styling his hair.

Soon, a man who looked 30% more handsome appeared in the room. Even Sayaka, who was completely devoted to the president, was momentarily taken aback.

— He's so handsome and his body is so strong. It seems the president made the right choice in having him as her male companion and fake boyfriend, doesn't it?

Shunsuke was quite pleased with his reflection in the mirror. His only regret was that he didn't have a loyal and capable secretary like this. Should he train one himself? Should he choose Yukino or Eriri?

Hmm… Yukino is too cold, and Eriri is too delicate. Neither seems quite right. On the other hand, Chitanda seems more suited for this role. The ideal secretary should make the master feel at home, always standing gently behind you with that kind of presence.

Shunsuke hadn't even started yet, and he was already enjoying a peach.

As he walked out of the room, both Natsuno and Suzuna, waiting outside, were instantly stunned. "You look way too handsome now!"

"How about it, am I qualified now?"

Sitting in the backseat of the car, Shunsuke casually spoke while resting his hands on the sides of the soft leather seats, leaning back next to Kirari.

Sayaka, sitting in the front passenger seat, was on the verge of grinding her teeth to dust. That was supposed to be mine! I was the one who got there first!
