Chapter 47: Chapter 47: A Rescue in Blood
---
1. The Clock is Ticking
Jinwoo's grip on the steering wheel was tight enough to snap it. His car roared through the empty Seoul streets, weaving through traffic like a phantom. Jisoo sat beside him, loading a fresh magazine into his pistol.
Hye-jin was out there, trapped in Baek Sung-min's hands. And Jinwoo was going to tear the city apart to get her back.
Jisoo exhaled. "We don't even know where he's keeping her."
Jinwoo's voice was ice. "Then we make someone tell us."
He turned sharply, heading toward the one place he knew they'd get answers—Min-ho's club.
---
2. No More Warnings
The nightclub was still packed, but Jinwoo wasn't here to talk this time.
He walked in, gun drawn. People screamed and scattered as he shot a round into the ceiling.
Min-ho, still nursing his injured wrist from their last meeting, turned pale.
"Jinwoo, wait—"
Jinwoo grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the bar. Bottles shattered, and the bartender ducked for cover.
"Where is she?" Jinwoo's voice was calm—too calm.
Min-ho gasped. "I-I don't know!"
Jisoo pressed his gun to Min-ho's temple. "Wrong answer."
Min-ho swallowed hard. "Okay, okay! Sung-min has a warehouse near the docks—he's holding her there!"
Jinwoo's grip tightened. "If you're lying—"
Min-ho shook his head frantically. "I swear!"
Jinwoo let him go, letting him collapse onto the bar.
Jisoo smirked. "That was easy."
Jinwoo's expression was stone. "It won't be when we get there."

3. The Warehouse of Death
The docks were eerily quiet.
Jinwoo and Jisoo crouched behind a stack of shipping containers, surveying the warehouse. Guards patrolled the area, their guns ready.
Inside, Hye-jin was tied to a chair, bruises marking her face.
Baek Sung-min stood over her, a knife in hand. "Jinwoo is reckless. He'll come for you." He smiled. "And when he does, he'll die."
Hye-jin spat blood. "You're underestimating him."
Sung-min chuckled. "No. I'm counting on him."
Suddenly—
BANG!
A sniper shot rang out. One of Sung-min's men dropped, blood spraying the floor.
Outside, Jinwoo lowered his rifle. "We're in."
Jisoo grinned. "Let's make it quick."
They stormed the warehouse, bullets flying. Guards fell one by one, and the air filled with the scent of gunpowder.
Jinwoo moved like a ghost, eliminating enemies with brutal precision.
Sung-min grabbed Hye-jin, pressing his knife to her throat. "One more step, and she dies!"
Jinwoo's gun was steady. "You won't make it out of here alive."
Sung-min smirked. "Neither will she."
Hye-jin moved fast—too fast for Sung-min to react.
She drove her elbow into his gut, then smashed her forehead against his nose. Blood spurted, and he stumbled back.
Jinwoo didn't hesitate. One shot.
Sung-min's body hit the floor, lifeless.
Hye-jin exhaled heavily, her hands still shaking.
Jinwoo rushed to her, cutting the ropes. "Are you hurt?"
She looked at him, eyes shining with something unspoken. "Not anymore."
Jisoo sighed. "Damn. I was hoping for a longer fight."
Jinwoo helped Hye-jin to her feet, his grip firm.
The war wasn't over.
But tonight, they had won.
