THE STREET KING

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: The Fire in Gangnam

---

1. The Calm Before the Storm

The neon lights of Gangnam glowed against the night sky, painting the city in shades of electric blue and red. The streets were alive with luxury cars, drunken laughter, and the promise of another night of excess.

But for Jinwoo and his team, tonight was not a night for celebration.

It was a night for war.

From the rooftop of a nearby building, Jinwoo adjusted the earpiece in his ear. "Positions?"

Hye-jin's voice crackled through. "Main entrance, ready."

Dae-hyun sighed. "Back alley. I still think this is insane."

Jinwoo smirked. "That's what makes it fun."

Dae-hyun muttered, "I need new friends."

Jinwoo glanced down at the casino. This place was more than just a gambling den. It was the beating heart of the syndicate's money laundering operation. If The Architect had a presence anywhere, it would be here.

He took a deep breath. Time to burn it down.

---

2. Enter the Wolves

Hye-jin strutted through the casino doors, her red dress clinging to her in all the right places. Heads turned as she made her way to the bar, but she wasn't here for attention.

She was here for access.

The bartender smirked. "What's your poison?"

She leaned in, lowering her voice. "I'm looking for a high-stakes game."

The bartender hesitated before nodding toward a private VIP room guarded by two large men.

Bingo.

Hye-jin tapped her earpiece. "I'm in."

Dae-hyun's voice was tense. "Great. Now all I have to do is not get shot sneaking in through the back. No pressure."

Jinwoo was already moving. No more waiting.

---

3. The First Bullet

The moment Jinwoo stepped inside, the tension hit him like a wave.

The VIP room was packed with Seoul's most dangerous criminals, and sitting at the poker table in the center was a man Jinwoo recognized instantly.

Baek Sung-min.

One of The Architect's top lieutenants.

Jinwoo's pulse steadied. Found you.

Sung-min looked up and smirked. "You're either the bravest or the dumbest man I've ever seen."

Jinwoo smiled. "I like to think I'm both."

Sung-min chuckled. "Well, then—"

The lights cut out.

A second later, gunfire erupted.

---

4. Chaos Unleashed

Hye-jin hit the ground as bullets sprayed across the room.

Jinwoo moved like lightning, flipping the poker table and using it as cover.

Dae-hyun's panicked voice filled the comms. "WHY DOES EVERYTHING ALWAYS END IN BULLETS?!"

Hye-jin returned fire, dropping two of the guards before they could react. "Because we have terrible luck!"

Jinwoo spotted Sung-min slipping toward a hidden exit. Not this time.

He vaulted over the table and sprinted after him.

---

5. The Chase

Sung-min burst onto the rooftop, panting. He turned, gun raised—

Jinwoo disarmed him in two moves.

Sung-min groaned. "You just don't stop, do you?"

Jinwoo grabbed his collar. "Where is The Architect?"

Sung-min smirked, blood dripping from his lip. "You'll never find him."

Jinwoo's fist connected with his jaw.

Sung-min staggered. "Even if you do… you won't survive him."

Jinwoo's eyes darkened. "Watch me."

Then, the rooftop exploded.
