Chapter 98: Chapter 32: Ultimate Art
"Deidara, Kisame, do you have any other tricks up your sleeves?"
Despite the dire situation, Itachi remained composed as ever.
Rasa, engaged in battle, avoided eye contact with Itachi, denying him the opportunity to use Tsukuyomi to resolve the fight.
"In a place like this, with the enemy controlling sand, there's not much I can do," Kisame said, his irritation barely concealed.
Feeling Itachi's gaze on him, Deidara offered two options.
"First, we retreat on my clay bird. It's risky, but considering how much the enemy relies on whatever drug he's taken to amplify his power, his strength won't last forever.
"Second, I show you my ultimate art!"
"Though I'm just a clay clone right now, if I can get within ten meters of Rasa and detonate, even his gold dust defense won't save him from serious injury—or death."
"We'll go with the second option," Itachi replied, his voice steady but tinged with exhaustion.
"We've come this far, it'd be a shame not to see this through to the end." He was clearly feeling the strain, his vision fading as his body reached its limits.
Kisame, concerned for Itachi's condition, stepped forward.
"Then I'll kick things off with my attack!"
"Even if my Water Style gets absorbed by his sand, it'll disrupt his movements and slow him down."
"Tch. What a nuisance, this battlefield!"
With a clap of his hands, Kisame unleashed a torrent of chakra. Massive waves of water surged from his mouth, forming an enormous sphere of water. Its sheer size made even Shukaku seem like a figurine in comparison.
"Water Release: Great Shark Bullet!" A monstrous shark materialized, its razor-sharp teeth gleaming as it charged toward Rasa.
"You can still summon this level of Water Style?" Rasa exclaimed, momentarily stunned before a smile crept onto his face. "How fortunate to face such a formidable foe under these conditions. Anywhere else, not even the drug would let me win."
"Magnet Style: Sandstorm Surge!" The desert sands rose like a tidal wave, enveloping the water sphere as if an eggshell encased its contents, greedily absorbing the moisture.
Simultaneously, the gold dust surrounding Rasa formed a massive shield in front of him. The giant shark collided with it, sending waves crashing, but the shield remained unscathed.
"C1: Sea Serpent Swarm!"
A horde of clay sea serpents surged forward as Deidara, riding a clay dolphin, rapidly closed the distance.
"Cheap tricks!"
"Magnet Style: Gold Dust Senbon!" Countless golden needles shot forth, shredding the serpents and halting Deidara's advance.
"Water Style: Thousand Feeding Sharks!"
Kisame summoned a swarm of chakra sharks, then merged with Samehada, transforming into a half-human, half-shark form. The fusion amplified his speed and agility in the water, while also granting him Samehada's chakra-absorbing abilities—a truly fearsome sight.
"Let's go!" With a shout, Kisame darted forward like an arrow loosed from a bow.
Rasa's eyes widened. He hastily surrounded himself with a dome of gold dust, realizing that Kisame's aquatic speed now surpassed his ability to react. Without such a defense, he'd be vulnerable to an attack.
"Perfect!"
Rasa's focus on defense gave Deidara his opportunity. Riding the clay dolphin, he crept closer once more.
"Roar!"
Shukaku, under Itachi's control, let out a deafening roar and began charging a Tailed Beast Ball.
Unbeknownst to all, a hidden sand eye crafted by Rasa observed everything, allowing him to maintain awareness even within his golden cocoon.
"Magnet Style: Gold Dust Formation!"
As Kisame swam near the dome, golden spikes suddenly erupted from its surface, one piercing through Kisame's abdomen.
"Urgh!" Kisame spat out a mouthful of blood as he retreated.
For Kisame, merged with Samehada, such a wound was hardly fatal—a calculated risk to probe the enemy. However, until he fully assessed Rasa's capabilities, he decided not to press his attack.
As the persistent Kisame withdrew, Rasa emerged from his cocoon atop a wave of gold dust. By now, the water sphere had shrunk to a quarter of its original size. Only a little more effort, and he'd escape its confines.
Boom!
Shukaku's Tailed Beast Ball tore through the water, heading straight for Rasa. Calmly, Rasa summoned another golden barrier to block the attack.
"I truly am invincible," Rasa declared. "Soon, their Water Style will be gone. In this endless desert, neither Tailed Beasts nor Sharingan will stand against me."
"Those who claim invincibility rarely meet a good end!" Deidara's voice cut through the chaos as he appeared beside Rasa.
Rasa smirked. "I noticed you earlier. I was simply too occupied dealing with your comrades to spare you attention.
"Your explosions are impressive, but if I can withstand a Tailed Beast Ball, what do you think you can do?"
Deidara swallowed the last of his clay, his body beginning to swell.
"If I ever meet your Edo Tensei body in the future, I'll be sure to ask about your experience today."
"This is the second time someone will witness my ultimate art!"
"Art is an explosion! Katsu!"
Blinding light and searing heat erupted as the detonation consumed everything. Water, sand, and gold dust vaporized instantly. The shockwave that followed rivaled the power of a Super Shinra Tensei, flattening the surroundings.

"Kisame, move!" Itachi, cloaked in Susanoo, grabbed Kisame and fled, racing against the incoming tidal wave of sand and debris that buried everything in its path.
Even distant villages, along with combatants from the Kage Guards, Root, and ANBU, were swallowed whole.
"Deidara's explosions just keep getting more absurd," Kisame muttered as he and Itachi resurfaced minutes later, heat radiating from the sand around them.
"Where's Shukaku? Let's take him back with us," Kisame suggested, doubting Rasa could have survived the explosion.
Not far away, a tanuki-sized Shukaku crawled out of the sand. Its chakra-formed body had shrunk drastically, no longer composed of sand.
"Shukaku's rampage lasted too long—it escaped its jinchūriki host," Kisame observed. "It's injured from the blast. Let's capture it as is."
"Feel free to take some of Shukaku's chakra to heal up," Itachi suggested.
