Chapter 619
Chrollo cast an unreadable glance toward Pakunoda.
She walked over to Hooker and, feigning casual contact, touched him lightly. But in that moment, Pakunoda activated her ability and read Hooker's memories. Then she gave Chrollo a slight nod—indicating that Hooker had not lied.
"Based on your description, Hooker, that person should be one of the secondary agents from the Kakin Empire. A member of Kakin's underground mafia. They truly have no connection to the Underworld Mafia."
Chrollo continued, "After discovering the warehouse was emptied, your group chose to withdraw, but many mafia members pursued you. You stopped in the desert. Uvogin fought off the regular mafia members alone—until four members of the Shadow Beast appeared. Uvogin took them all down by himself."
"But he paid a price. He was poisoned, and his body was implanted with a leech's egg. After that, he was captured by the Chain User. Then the remaining six Shadow Beast members attacked, only to be dealt with by Feitan and Phinks. At that point, the entire Shadow Beast was wiped out."
"The Chain User, however, was not among them. But that's not the main issue."
"The real problem is the information Hisoka obtained. It seems the Underworld Mafia has reactivated Laboratory No. 2 and cultivated a number of experimental units—stronger than the Shadow Beast."
"My current plan is to leak our location and lure those hidden forces from the Underworld Mafia here, where we'll set a trap—and kill them all."
Uvogin furrowed his brows and spoke for the first time. "That Chain User… is he one of the experiments too?"
"We don't know," Chrollo replied, shaking his head. "But his strength is undeniable. That's why we need everyone here. That's why I called you back, Uvogin. Prepare for war."
Even before Chrollo finished, Pakunoda had already followed his orders and exposed the Phantom Troupe's location. The Underworld Mafia now knew where to find them.

In a conference room, ten screens lit up—each corresponding to one of the Ten Dons. At the center was Oster.
"Today, we, the Underworld Mafia, have suffered an unprecedented humiliation. They invaded us openly. Countless of our personnel, including our Shadow Beast, were killed. Many guests also died in the incident."
"If this is not properly handled, our reputation will take a massive hit. But the enemy is strong. They are the infamous Phantom Troupe—all of them powerful. Even the Shadow Beast was no match and has been entirely annihilated."
"Park, since joining us, we've invested countless resources into you. Now it's time for you to repay us. We need your experimental units to kill the Phantom Troupe members. How many can you deploy? What is their current power level?"
Oster instinctively felt displeased. Being in a high position for so long, he wasn't used to being ordered around. But he also knew this was a moment where he needed to demonstrate sincerity.
After a brief silence, Oster responded, "The experiments have gone relatively well, but time has been short. As of now, we only have six experimental units that are combat-ready. However, each of them is extremely strong—top-tier within the Nen user circle. Their abilities are unique. Their vitality is extremely high. Even if they die, they can still launch powerful attacks to inflict damage on the enemy right before."
He paused, then asked, "May I ask—how strong is the Phantom Troupe exactly?"
One of the Ten Dons spoke up: "The Troupe has thirteen members. They are officially classified as an A-rank criminal group. Two of their members haven't revealed much publicly. You can gauge their strength using the Shadow Beast as reference. Earthworm, Porcupine, Rabid Dog, and Leech—all four attacked at once and were defeated by a single Phantom Troupe member, though that member was severely wounded."
"The other six Shadow Beast members were also defeated—by just two members of the Troupe."
Oster considered for a moment. "So one Troupe member equals the strength of four to five Shadow Beast members?"
"Correct."
"In that case, my experimental units should be sufficient. If we disregard their lives and have them attack recklessly, one experimental unit should be capable of handling two Troupe members—at worst, in a mutual-destruction scenario."
Upon hearing this confidence, the Ten Don's expressions relaxed somewhat. The auction had been attacked. Guests were killed. The entire Shadow Beast wiped out. Their mood was understandably grim. They hated the Phantom Troupe to the core.
"Very well. We'll leave it to you, Park."
"Yes Sir."
After ending the video conference, Oster exited the meeting room and gave an order to his assistant.
"Bring in the Six Wolves."
"Yes, Lord Park."
Oster didn't bother naming his experimental units with care. Just like his earlier batches—Three Hounds, Four Beasts, Six Herd—these six were simply called the Six Wolves. They were all disposable pawns and he did not care enough to think of a meaningful name for them.
At the time, all six units were locked inside a secure chamber. A staff member opened the chamber.
"Click!"
Before he could speak, one of the Six Wolves crushed his throat.
Six figures stepped out.
At the far end of the corridor, Oster stood waiting. The six men noticed him and revealed expressions of arrogance and defiance—not only toward the regular staff, but toward Oster himself.
But then Oster released his aura.
The pressure of a top-tier A-rank Nen user—just one step away from S-rank—filled the space.
All six experimental units were nominally A-rank themselves. But even among A-ranks, the difference between them and Oster was massive.
"Boom!"
The sheer force of the aura made all six drop to one knee involuntarily, kneeling on the ground.
