The Strongest Lunarian in One Piece

Chapter 383: Chapter 383: Ivankov and Ginny

"A truly exceptional talents, huh?"

Hearing Dal's question, Uthan just chuckled:

"There are, however, two rather special individuals…"

Over the past few days, through the Door-Door Fruit's powers, he had soundlessly surveyed practically every resident, slave, and criminal on God Valley.

"Special?"

Not only Dal but also Barry looked surprised.

"Indeed. Because the World Government wants to prevent their captives from fleeing, they instituted collective punishment: every ten people form a single group—if anyone escapes on their own, all the others are executed…"

Uthan nodded, speaking gravely:

"As a result, even those who might want to flee the island don't dare cooperate with others, for fear of being ratted out. Only those two worked up the courage to collaborate with others. They're also secretly plotting to seize some Devil Fruit so they can get away alive!"

"Apparently, they're the ones who, two weeks ago, quietly leaked news of the Celestial Dragons' plan to slaughter the natives here."

"Oh?"

Dal and Barry both grew interested. They hadn't expected something so carefully guarded by the World Government to be leaked by a mere couple of slaves—and in doing so, they'd stirred a huge hornet's nest. If the higher-ups found out, they'd likely be spitting blood.

"See there—the foot of that small mountain? The tall, big-headed kid, along with that little girl chomping on a drumstick…"

Uthan pointed toward a group of furtive figures huddled below a short mountain, discussing something.

"That big-headed one seems to be the ringleader… and the little girl is a born genius with Den Den Mushi. She's only a child, but she taught herself how to steal, eavesdrop, and tinker with communications equipment. Apparently she quietly filched a batch of Den Den Mushi in Mary Geoise itself, then used them to spy on World Government transmissions—learning of this planned Celestial Dragon 'hunt,' even catching details like location and the prizes. In fact, she was the one who tinkered with a Den Den Mushi to leak the news about the upcoming hunt, so that we, Roger's Pirates, Rocks, and the others all intercepted it!"

Uthan concluded with a grin:

"If we hand them over to Sally for training, they'd be very promising espionage recruits."

"Hmm?"

Dal studied the big-headed boy of around fifteen with a singularly flat, memorable face, plus the golden-haired girl—maybe twelve or thirteen—cheerfully gnawing on her drumstick. He smiled slightly, raised his right hand, locked on to them, and gave a small flick of his fingers.

"Transfer!"

The next moment,

Ivankov and Ginny—who'd been hatching a plot with their companions on how to steal a Devil Fruit—felt a sudden blur before their eyes. They discovered they'd appeared in a strange greenish space, confronted by three unknown figures. Their pupils constricted in shock.

"Huh?"

Suddenly, Dal felt a jolt of awareness; the third eye on his forehead glowed red. As though seeing a glimpse of the future, he instantly activated his Transfer-Transfer Fruit. In a flash, the trio vanished from that bizarre space.

"Strange… was that just my imagination?"

Saint Garling, who was waiting for the contest to begin, frowned, glancing toward the top of God Valley's cliffs. He felt uncertain. Nearby, another individual who sensed something amiss upon arriving from the World Government's ship was the Five Elder known as the Warrior God of Science and Defense, Saint Saturn—there to watch and ensure the Celestial Dragons' safety. He leaned on his staff, perplexed.

"What's wrong, my lord…?"

asked Saint Dennis, Supreme Commander of the Holy Knights, standing by his side.

"It's nothing…"

Saint Saturn shook his head. A moment earlier, he'd felt something off, but spreading out his Observation Haki to encompass the entire island turned up no anomalies.

Meanwhile, in that strange green-tinged space atop God Valley's cliffs, the air door slammed shut. Ivankov, staring at the three mysterious figures, felt an instinctive wariness:

"Uh…?"

The girl Ginny, big-eyed, quickly took note of the tall youth wearing a magnificent battle suit, with black wings and roaring flames behind his head:

"Gray-white hair, black wings, fire behind you… You're a Lunarian from Totto Land? Are you with the Fallen Angel Pirates?"

"Interesting, you guessed who I am?"

Dal arched an eyebrow. It didn't surprise him that she recognized Lunarian traits, but her quick deduction was impressive.

"You two seem decent. Care to leave here with us?"

Dal asked with a smile.

"Of course we're willing!" Ginny cried, delighted, nodding again and again. "For us slaves, the Totto Land Kingdom is a dream come true—Lord El, the Fallen Angel, is our 'Sun God' in our hearts!"

"Am I dreaming?" Ivankov muttered in disbelief.

"All that scheming for an escape, and now here we are, saved just like that? Hohahaha!"

"Yes, you two lucked out…"

Uthan and Barry both nodded. Although these slaves had nerve, they lacked any real power. Trying to break into the Celestial Dragons' treasure stash alone was basically suicide—heavily guarded. No doubt they'd have died trying.

"Wait, my lords—are you here to rescue the rest of us slaves, too?" Ginny ventured to ask.

"I'm sorry, but our mission concerns the 'prizes' the Celestial Dragons prepared…"

Dal spread his hands helplessly, speaking frankly:

"At present, our Totto Land Kingdom is still mustering strength, not ready for all-out war with the World Government, so we can only take you two. As for the others, we can only see if we can stir up enough chaos for them to slip away. But ultimately, they'll have to seize that chance themselves."

"So that's how it is…"
