Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Brooklyn Brawl
Uh... who are you guys?" Katon asked, feigning confusion.
"Listen up, you think you can just waltz in and mess with my girl?" one of the six men snarled, pointing a finger at the cornered Katon.
Katon's facade crumbled. He was facing none other than Alice's boyfriend and his crew. He stood his ground, meeting their angry stares with a cool, unwavering gaze. He knew this could turn ugly fast.
Luckily, Katon was a master of karate. He was well-trained, and he wasn't about to back down.
"Easy, man!" Katon said, his voice level, not a trace of fear in his tone. "I didn't mean to disrespect your girl. I just dropped by her apartment for a minute."
The six Americans exchanged bewildered glances. This one guy wasn't showing any fear, even though he was surrounded. They hesitated, unsure how to proceed.
"He's lying, guys! Don't believe him!" one of them yelled, his voice thick with rage. "I saw him hitting on Alice!"
Katon smirked, his cover blown. Well, if push came to shove, he'd fight.
"Dude, let's talk this out. I really don't know what you're talking about. Wouldn't it be better if we could settle this like adults?" Katon said, his tone casual, almost dismissive.
His words only fueled their anger. "Dickhead!" they roared, surging forward. These guys were big, some of them built like brick walls. Katon, though tall, was clearly outsized.
"You think you can take me down that easily?" Katon challenged, his voice laced with confidence, despite his precarious position.
They paused, a flicker of uncertainty in their eyes. This guy was messing with them.
"Doesn't matter how good you are, man. There's six of us!" one of them yelled, raising his fists. And to Katon's surprise, some of them pulled out baseball bats. A chill ran down his spine.
Shit! Alice's boyfriend is a gangster? he thought, trying to suppress the rising panic.
He knew the odds were against him, but he also knew his karate. He could take them, if he stayed calm and focused.
"Hey, I warned you. We can talk this out," Katon said, his voice smooth as silk. His eyes narrowed, his fists clenched, ready for action.
"Do that before you sleep with my girl, asshole!" the biggest of them all roared, throwing a haymaker that Katon easily dodged.
Seeing their leader's attack fail, the other five charged, throwing a flurry of punches and kicks. Without hesitation, Katon retaliated, his movements swift and precise.
He unleashed a series of karate moves, his body a blur of motion. Otoshi uke, a powerful downward block, deflected a blow from a hulking black man. Shuto uke, a knife-hand strike, sliced through the air, sending another reeling. Kumade, a bear-claw strike, crumpled the chest of the biggest guy, sending him crashing to the ground.
A baseball bat swung towards him, but Katon's reflexes were lightning fast. He deflected the blow, and as his opponent stumbled, a swift punch landed squarely on his jaw.
Another attacker lunged, but Katon sidestepped, a spinning kick connecting with his gut, sending him gasping for air.
He moved like a phantom, his strikes landing with deadly accuracy, sending the gang members tumbling one by one.
The night air crackled with tension, the sounds of grunts and thuds filling the silence.
As the fight intensified, Katon exploited their weaknesses, his movements fluid and precise. He disarmed and disabled them, one by one.
Finally, only one man remained standing, his breath ragged, his eyes wide with fear. Katon approached him, his presence radiating an undeniable dominance.
"Now, you still want to do this?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.
The man shook his head, surrendering to the inevitable. He was no match for Katon's skill and ferocity.
"So, don't blame Alice for straying, dude. You're just a spoiled brat trapped in a big, empty body," Katon sneered, the insult cutting through the man's bravado.
With his enemies defeated, Katon spat on the ground and walked away, leaving them groaning in the darkness.
I should probably tell Alice to move, he thought, heading towards the subway, back to the comfort of his Manhattan penthouse.
