The Villainous Rebirth of an Anime Heroine | naruto

Chapter 15: Nausea

· · ────── ꒰ঌ·✦·໒꒱ ────── · ·

"So noisy~! Sasuke, why the hell are you screaming?"

Yawning, Naruto rubbed his eyes and looked at Sasuke, who had already backed himself into a corner. Sasuke's face was pale, and he looked completely speechless. His hand trembled as he pointed at Naruto.

"Y-you-you... Why are you... here?"

"Huh? What do you mean why am I—huh?"

Naruto, still groggy, was about to argue, but then he noticed the futon he was lying on and the fact that Sasuke was right in front of him.

And then—

"YAAAAAAHHH!!!"

A second scream shattered the quiet morning at the Uchiha compound. A moment later, a loud voice yelled from the next room.

"Shut up, you two idiots! Are you trying to get reincarnated first thing in the morning?!"

After a chaotic mess of scrambling and shouting, everyone had gathered in the Uchiha compound's main hall.

No surprise—it was the entire little film crew.

The girls: Hinata, Sakura, and Ino.

The boys: Sasuke, Naruto, Shikamaru, Chouji, and Shino.

"Huh? You want to know what happened?"

The girls were clearly in a bad mood, their hair still messy from sleep. Understandable, considering last night had been a disaster.

Snapping her fingers impatiently, Hinata turned to Shino.

"Shino, tell these two idiots what happened last night."

Shino, ever calm behind his sunglasses, gave a small nod. Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, he began explaining in his usual, monotone way.

"Last night, we went to a hot spring banquet. Then, because Naruto thought just eating was boring, he suggested we play a drinking game like adults. Coincidentally, the staff brought out a tray of liquor-filled chocolates for dessert. So, Naruto decided the loser of each round would eat one. In the end, almost everyone ate at least ten pieces."

Shino paused before continuing.

"But since Naruto kept challenging Sasuke, the two of you each ate about twenty chocolates. Based on my insects' analysis of your blood, both of you were moderately drunk. So, it makes sense that your memories of last night are... incomplete."

As Shino finished, Naruto and Sasuke both turned a sickly shade of green.

Yeah. This was definitely their own fault.

"After that, since everyone felt tipsy, we decided to stay over at Sasuke's house. But because his house has been empty for so long, there were only a few usable futons."

Shino adjusted his glasses again.

"Ino and Sakura shared one. Hinata had her own. Shikamaru and Chouji shared one. As for me… well, no one wanted to sleep with my insects, so I got my own futon. That left just one left, which, of course, went to Sasuke and Naruto."

"Explanation complete."

Pushing his glasses up once more, Shino nodded in satisfaction.

There was a moment of silence.

Then, leading the way, Hinata started clapping.

Not bad.

Being able to summarize everything so clearly in one go—without stopping, without confusion, while assigning responsibility to each person—was no small feat. It was no wonder that, in the original story, this guy eventually became a teacher at the Academy.

"Uuuugh… I feel like… I lost something important..."

Tearing up, Naruto pounded the floor in despair.

Sasuke, who had been feeling sick but relatively fine until now, froze.

Then—he heard Naruto's words.

Immediately, his face twisted in horror, and he bent over, dry-heaving.

Damn it, that stupid, dumbass dobe! That was way too disgusting to say out loud!

"Naruto… I'm going to kill you…!"

Sasuke's eyes were practically glowing red with rage as he gritted his teeth.

It was too much.

The humiliation. The anger.

He had to let it out somehow.

"That's my line, you bastard Sasuke!!"

Naruto roared back, jumping to his feet. Their eyes met in midair—BOOM—sparks flew instantly.

"Alright! Then for today's morning training, we'll have a fight."

Sitting comfortably at the head of the group, Hinata smirked.

"Uchiha Sasuke vs. Uzumaki Naruto. No weapons. Only taijutsu. Winner takes all."

Then, glancing over, she gave new orders.

"Ino, Sakura—you two, go prepare some breakfast and tea. Everyone's probably hungry, so we'll eat here. Chouji, you handle chopping firewood."

"Oh~! Leave the firewood to me!"

"But… Sasuke-kun—ah… okay, I got it."

"Understood. Please wait a moment—it'll be ready soon."

The three who had been given tasks showed different reactions, but none of them objected. Even if they found it a little strange, Hinata's instructions were logical.

"And as for the rest of you—Shikamaru, you'll step in if they go too far. Shino, you'll judge the match."

Leaning back lazily against a cushion, Hinata's tone was casual.

Shikamaru sighed and scratched his head.

"Yeah, yeah… I'll use Shadow Imitation Jutsu if they get out of hand."

· · ────── ꒰ঌ·✦·໒꒱ ────── · ·

"The rules are simple - no ninja tools and no jutsu. The match ends when one of you gives up or breaks the rules."

Shino's sunglasses reflected a faint light as he raised his right arm high. Once Sasuke and Naruto each took a few steps back to create distance, he suddenly swung his arm down. "Begin!"

"I'm gonna knock you out, Sasuke!"

The moment Shino gave the signal, Naruto roared and charged straight at Sasuke. Hinata frowned slightly as she watched.

She could see it clearly - Naruto's attacks had no technique at all. He was just running forward, trying to punch Sasuke in the face. No strategy, no finesse. It looked like he barely paid attention in taijutsu class back in the Academy. He wasn't even using basic striking techniques properly.

"Hmph~!"

Compared to him, Sasuke's form was much more refined. Though he wasn't using any advanced techniques either, his stance was solid, and his movements were precise. Effortlessly dodging Naruto's wild punch, he swept his foot out, tripping Naruto and sending him tumbling away.

But just as Naruto was about to hit the ground, he suddenly let out a mischievous laugh. His body, which should've lost balance completely, pushed off the ground with both hands. Then, like a scorpion's tail, his right leg swung up in a sharp counterattack! The move was so unexpected that Sasuke barely had time to react. He twisted his body and managed to block, but the impact still sent both of them skidding back a few steps before they steadied themselves.

"Hmm?"

Hinata's eyebrows twitched. The veins around her eyes bulged as she activated her Byakugan. With her enhanced vision, she immediately noticed something strange about both of them.

Around Naruto's body was a faint layer of chakra. That thin chakra cloak was likely enhancing his agility, allowing him to move fluidly even after losing balance.

Meanwhile, Sasuke's chakra was more controlled, evenly distributed under his skin. It acted almost like an internal armor, protecting his body. That explained why Naruto's kick, which had definitely landed on Sasuke's shoulder, hadn't actually hurt him.

So that's it... their training is paying off.

Hinata thought for a moment and quickly understood what was going on. Naruto's wind-based training required him to spread chakra throughout his body to control air currents, which must've passively improved his mobility and ability to stay airborne. That was why he could still move freely even when off-balance.

On the other hand, Sasuke's lightning-based training forced him to endure electrical shocks to build resistance. As a result, his chakra naturally formed a protective layer under his skin, acting as a sort of soft armor. Not only did it protect him, but it also sped up his chakra flow. If it used to take him two seconds to gather chakra for a Fireball Jutsu, now he could probably do it in just one and a half.

At this rate, one of them would eventually learn to fly, while the other might develop the Lightning Release Armor.

They really did put in the effort... but still, this fight is ridiculous. They're just relying on instinct and basic moves.

Hinata sighed to herself.

"Having no real techniques is a huge problem~."

· · ────── ꒰ঌ·✦·໒꒱ ────── · ·

In the end, the match between Sasuke and Naruto wasn't decided before breakfast. To Hinata, it wasn't exactly a fair fight.

After all, Sasuke's strengths were in fire-style jutsu and shuriken techniques, not stamina or endurance.

Meanwhile, Naruto was hopeless with ninjutsu and ninja tools but had an absurd amount of stamina thanks to being a jinchūriki.

So even though Sasuke seemed to have the upper hand the whole time, he just couldn't knock Naruto out completely. When breakfast was finally ready, Hinata had no choice but to step in and stop the two idiots from brawling any further. They could settle things after they ate.

But still… watching them fight was embarrassing. Their training method might be effective, but without proper techniques, they had no way to fully use their strength. By the end, their battle had started to look more like a chaotic wrestling match than a proper fight. Even Hinata felt secondhand embarrassment.

Guess I have no choice… Since she had already made up a training method for them, she might as well come up with actual techniques too. Otherwise, all this effort would just end up being a joke.

Taking a bite of her rice ball, Hinata quickly planned out the day. The only things left for their film project were some dubbing and editing, which Shikamaru and Shino could handle on their own.

"Hmm~ Sasuke, how's the rice ball? Does it suit your taste?"

Sitting next to him, Sakura blushed as she asked her crush. Sasuke, his usual cold self, didn't really want to answer. But the sight of everyone eating together like this brought back certain memories. After hesitating for a moment, the dark-haired boy finally gave a small nod.

"Ah… it's good… If you could add a little more tomato to my miso soup next time, that'd be even better."

"Yes~! Sasuke-kun! I'll definitely remember that~!"

Ino, sitting on the other side, seized the moment immediately. Both girls could feel a glimpse of victory—Sasuke-kun, who was usually so cold and distant, not only responded to the question about the food but even shared what he liked to eat! This was definitely a step forward!

"Jeez, Ino, Sakura, at least ask us how we feel about the food too!"

Chōji stuffed a rice ball into his mouth, clearly displeased at how the two girls were playing favorites. Meanwhile, Shikamaru, lazily chewing his food, shook his head as if he had seen this a hundred times before.

"Give it up, Chōji. The fact that they even remembered to make food for us is already a miracle."

"Tch! Damn you, Sasuke! Next time, I'm definitely taking you down!"

Naruto angrily gulped down his miso soup, frustrated at how Sasuke's looks earned him special treatment. Shino, calm as ever, spoke up.

"Naruto, from my perspective, you're not at the level where you can challenge Sasuke yet. Based on school records, Sasuke's strengths are in ninja tools and ninjutsu. That means, in a pure taijutsu fight like earlier, the match was unfair to him."

"Tch! Shino, you weirdo, what the hell are you saying?! Hinata, what about you?!"

Naruto, annoyed by Shino's blunt assessment, turned to Hinata for support. But without even looking up from her food, she simply responded coldly.

"That's true… but not entirely."

Her vague answer made both Sasuke and Naruto turn their eyes toward her. After training with Hinata for so long, they had learned to pick up on the deeper meaning behind her words.

"The martial arts style we're training in—Saint Fist—is technically just the foundation. I haven't taught you any actual moves yet. But after watching your fight today, I think it's time for us to start practicing real techniques."

Hinata finished her meal, neatly placed her chopsticks down, and stood up.

"I'm going back to make copies of the techniques from the martial arts manual. You guys can do whatever you want in the meantime. Oh, and later, a shop owner should be stopping by. Shino, Shikamaru, you two handle the negotiations. Once the price is set, just pay them the deposit—no need to check with me. Also, don't forget to drop off the recorded episodes at the bookstore. The contact person is the owner of Konoha Bookstore, Matsukura."

Hearing Hinata's efficient and structured instructions, both Ino and Sakura unconsciously straightened their backs. Honestly, this felt more like taking orders from a superior at work.

"Huh? Why does all of this sound like a huge hassle…?"

Shikamaru groaned, already dreading the extra work. But Shino simply adjusted his sunglasses with a serious expression.

"Understood. I will make sure it's completed by this afternoon."

"Good. After you get the money, make sure everyone gets their 100,000 ryo payment first. We'll sort out the rest when I get back."

Satisfied, Hinata turned and left the Uchiha residence. It might've seemed irresponsible, but she knew Shikamaru and Shino were the kind of people who wouldn't be easily fooled, even by adults.

As for herself, she needed to find some useful taijutsu techniques—something that could actually help Sasuke and Naruto improve.

Once Hinata was gone, Sakura and Ino both let out a breath they didn't even realize they were holding. Clutching their chests, they muttered to themselves.

"Jeez… Hinata's presence is kind of scary… Is this what it means to be the heiress of a big clan? She never used to be like this…"

"People change. Given her status and upbringing, I don't find it surprising," Shino commented matter-of-factly.

Shikamaru, rubbing his temples, sighed.

"Ugh… everything she asked us to do sounds like a drag. Shino, any plans?"

"Yes. Based on how she worded it, the shop owner should be arriving soon, so negotiations are the priority. However, getting our recorded work to the bookstore for profits is also important. My suggestion is to split up—one team stays here to handle the shop owner, while the other takes the tapes to the bookstore."

Shikamaru thought about it for a moment before scratching his head.

"Alright… I don't feel like moving, so I'll stay and handle the negotiations. Shino, can you take care of the bookstore delivery?"

"Of course. However, since money is involved, I'd like Naruto and Chōji to accompany me as security."

"Fine by me. That means I'll have Sakura and Ino prepare tea and snacks for our guests. Sasuke, you'll be here as well, just in case."

With all the responsibilities divided up, Shikamaru tilted his head slightly in curiosity.

"Huh… Shino, I gotta admit, you're surprisingly easy to talk to."

"Same. Maybe we just think in similar ways," Shino replied calmly.

Meanwhile, Naruto and Chōji, who had been completely lost in the conversation, exchanged confused glances. After a short silence, they both nodded in agreement—if they didn't understand, they'd just go along with it.

Elsewhere, Hinata arrived at Konoha's library. Ever since she had casually purchased a bunch of expensive medical scrolls last time, the staff had started treating her with extreme respect.

"All the books on taijutsu are over here. Most of them focus on hard-style techniques. There are a few on soft-style, but they aren't as rare. If you need any scrolls, please let us know."

The chubby librarian bowed and led Hinata to the martial arts section before stepping aside.

Scanning the towering bookshelves, Hinata furrowed her brows slightly.

Techniques, huh? To put it simply, they were methods of drawing out power from within and applying it to the outside world…

In taijutsu, this concept refers to how to maximize the power of the body.

So, to fully understand "techniques," you need to grasp the key points and secrets of generating power from different parts of the body.

Hinata picked a book from the shelf titled The Secrets of Fist and Foot Power and quickly found a direction: since Nanto Seiken was something she had made up, there was no need to rigidly follow any existing techniques. As long as the techniques matched different types of martial arts attributes, that would be enough.

In other words, as long as the technique could draw out the hidden power of the Sacred Fist, it would be valid.

Flipping through the book, Hinata found the theory she was looking for: the so-called power behind a punch or a kick is actually about maximizing "force application" in a sequence. For example, when throwing a punch, to achieve the strongest force, you need to ensure the best possible buildup of power. Different body parts contribute to this process in different ways.

Take a simple straight punch, for instance. The process of generating power involves pulling the arm back as far as possible, then using an explosive burst of muscle strength to drive the arm forward, maximizing the force from the arm.

Since the human body is centered around the spine, you can further enhance the punch by twisting your torso backward and then stepping forward as you strike. This indirectly extends the force buildup.

A seemingly simple straight punch actually involves the wrist, arm, shoulder, chest muscles, waist, thighs, calves, ankles, and feet. The key to a technique is coordinating all these parts to work together and channel their combined strength into the punch.

The same principle applies to other movements. To put it simply, a martial arts technique is just about finding ways to get more body parts involved in generating force for a single attack.

With this in mind, creating techniques could actually be very simple—just a matter of addition. For example:

- Preparation phase = pull back the right arm + retract the right shoulder + twist the right waist backward + pull back the right leg

- Release phase = swing the right arm forward + push the right shoulder forward + twist the right waist forward + step forward with the right leg

This would result in a straight punch that combines the power of four different body parts.

The more body parts you can add to this equation, the stronger the attack will be. However, coordinating so many muscles at the same time isn't easy.

"But~ with this, I should be able to finalize the technique before sunset~"

Hinata opened a blank scroll for notes, the corners of her lips curling into a strange smile.

"I really have to thank my childhood spent in arcade fighting games for this~"

"Alright, please take a seat. Hinata has put me in charge of this discussion, so—I'm Nara Shikamaru."

Trying his best to stay focused, Shikamaru sat in a tatami room inside the Uchiha estate, lazily gazing at the man with a scruffy beard sitting across from him. Even though this all felt like such a drag, he couldn't exactly ignore a task he'd already agreed to handle.

The current situation was that in a neatly arranged room—cleaned up by Sakura and Ino—Shikamaru and Sasuke sat on one side as the representatives, while Asuma and Kakashi sat on the other as the negotiation partners. The whole setting gave off a very formal business atmosphere.

"Ah, oh, I'm Fujimura, the owner of the photo development shop. Just call me Fujimura."

Scratching his head, Asuma felt a little awkward. The kid in front of him, from the Nara clan, was about the same age as Hinata—clearly still a student. And yet, he was conducting a business negotiation, something that most people wouldn't even attempt until their thirties. Compared to that, Asuma couldn't help but feel embarrassed about how unproductive he'd been at eleven years old.

"Alright, I'll get straight to the point. We need a professional team for photography and film development. The payment is negotiable. You're interested, right?"

Resting his chin on his hand, Shikamaru slid a contract across the table. "I know this is a bit sudden, but a proper contract is necessary. Take a look at the terms and let me know if you agree."

"Oh, okay."

Asuma exchanged glances with Kakashi before sighing and setting aside his personal feelings. They both picked up the contract and started reading through it.

At that moment, Ino's cheerful voice came from outside the room.

"Excuse me~ Can we bring in the tea and snacks?"

"Yeah, bring them in."

Shikamaru yawned. He had burned quite a few brain cells going through all these business clauses.

As the sliding door opened, Ino and Sakura walked in, each carrying a tray—one with tea, the other with snacks. Unlike their usual school attitudes, the two girls acted refined and graceful, carefully placing the refreshments in front of everyone. Then, they gave a respectful bow.

"Please let us know if you need anything."

"Ah~ Thank you. These snacks look really delicious."

Asuma and Kakashi were both a little surprised. They had assumed this "negotiation" was just a casual agreement, but from the way they were being treated, it was clear the kids were handling this like a proper business deal.

And these weren't just any kids—each of them came from highly influential clans in Konoha. The fact that they were working together so seamlessly, organizing tasks so efficiently, and treating this with such professionalism… That kind of leadership ability was honestly pretty impressive.
