The Villain's Story

Chapter 695: [695] Kizmal(7).

Chapter 695: [695] Kizmal(7).

His body was brimming with strength, yet he had lost all of it in a mere second, his mana had been forced all around his body, yet it did not reinforce it or anything of the sort.

It actually controlled his body, and followed whatever Sabrina said.

'Why did I do that?'

Alan's body floated on the sea, he was propelling himself upward with the help of mana, but

was purposefully using a low amount of it, in order to stay in the water.

His mind was filled with questions, as to what had happened.

Why had his body refused to listen to him, and jumped straight into the sea? Alan was confused.

"Are you going to come up, or not?"

He saw Sabrina's head over the edge of the platform, and awoke from his stupor. Shaking his head, he jumped. He created a solid mass underneath his feet with mana and jumped. The water failed to contain his strength, and he grabbed the edge of the platform.

"Here."

Sabrina reached out her hand, and Alan grabbed, but instead of letting her pull him up, he was the one who pulled, and dropped her into the sea below.

"... I should have expected that."

"You should have."

Alan smirked, and climbed on top of the platform. He waited for Sabrina to do the same, but she didn't.

She just looked at him from below, raising her brows, as if asking.

'Well? Help me get up there.'

He sighed, and opened up a portal beneath her. She fell on the platform on her butt, and screamed.

"You want me to do that again?!"

Alan, somewhat angry at her, said.

"Don't do that again."

By this point, he realized she had used the soul crystal to send him over the edge, it was a harmless prank, but the timing was bad. He had wanted to make sure that no one would have any thoughts of challenging the fragment of Kizmal, but her little stunt had done something to undermine his efforts.

He had, after all, literally jumped 'gladly' moments after hearing her.

Alan sighed, dried himself, and proceeded to go inside the tunnel again. Kazikato expressed his desire to join, but Alan denied him entry.

He needed rest, some wounds on his body had yet to heal, and Alan knew he was pushing himself.

He could challenge it as many times as required until he knew everything about the fragment, but Kazikato couldn't.

Alan's figure disappeared into the tunnel in front of everybody's eyes. Azmakul sighed, but refrained from speaking. He focused his attention on the array above the tunnel.

Alexander went towards Olivia and helped her up.

"I told you, you can't beat him."

Obviously, she wasn't in the best mood.

"Fucking prick, we wasted a year, and for what?"

Alice went over towards Sabrina, and covered her with a towel. She and Sabrina were silent as Olivia let out a flurry of curses.

Azmakul chimed in.

"Please, he only has your best interests at heart. He will come around soon enough."

"I don't think he will."

"Oh, trust me, he will. Please, rest. I have to heal the young princes wounds."

Back on Gigantia, Elijah gazed at the Red Sea of lava below him, his face was black as charcoal, and his hair as well. The vibrant orange like hair was gone, covered in soot.

Elijah had been forced to mine in the ravine for days on end, risking his life a few numbers of times. If he didn't have the system to recover, he would have died.

He realized he should have hidden the fact that he could recover in an instant with the help of the system from Serena, that ability of his own alone had caused him to suffer.

The system could heal his wounds and bring his body back to its prime condition easily, at the expense of a few credits, but it could not really clean his body unless he spent more.

And he didn't want to spend more, he knew there was no point in doing it, since he would have to descend into the fiery pits once more to mine for more materials. It was almost insulting, a fire dragon was being forced to mine.

But he didn't mind, he knew every single kilogram of ore was being used to give humanity a better chance against the demons, and if all it took to save tens of thousands of human lives was him getting a bit dirty, he would do it thousands of time over.

That did not mean he didn't deserve a break though, thankfully, the old scientists and Serena had been satisfied with how much ore he brought them, and he was so graciously given a break. He used his precious free time to travel underground, where there were records of a sea

of lava.

"So nice..."

Since he was a fire dragon, the lethally hot lava was like a hot spring to him, he had yet to jump inside, but even standing above it was bliss. The hot air rushed above, providing him relief. The hot air would have burned a human alive, and even awakened would have had to suffer, but he was in heaven.

Elijah took off all his clothes, placing him in the inventory...and dived in, his face lit up, by both happiness and the glow from the lava beneath. And then, he hit his head on the lava.

"Ow..."

While his body sank into it with some difficulty afterward, he should have realized it was not water he was jumping into, but rather molten rock. Which was many times denser than it. Well, it was a lot more comfortable, so he didn't mind his initial injury. Taking a deep breath, his face full of bliss, he submerged himself within the lava.

'This... this is heaven...'

All the soot and dirt on him had burned away, leaving his skin pristine, all the hair on his body had suffered the same fate, but he could simply spend a few more points and regrow it all back. No one would notice any difference.

He felt an increase in energy, and even his mana seemed to come alive, it was a blissful

feeling.

'Agri, are you there?'

Sadly, there was still no response. His guardian dragon had cut off all contact once he came to this world, either it was because of shame, or some other reason.

Agri had been the one to burn this place to the ground once, that was what [Dragon Eyes] had told him, Serena had joked about his temper, saying that all it took for him to burn a planet to ash was a giant pissing him off, but Elijah was sure that was not the case.

His guardian dragon definitely had a temper, but he would not burn an entire planet, especially one this large, filled with entire ecosystems and thousands of species, just because

he was pissed off at one giant.

There had to be a better reason, and he was determined to find out what it was. It would have

to wait, however.

It would have to wait a while, he still had much more work to do.

The association was investing heavily into the new planet, they had already formed a small port in the east, where the sea was. And his job was to escort an entire fleet of ships across it, and ensure their safety. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to do that.

It was stupid in the first place, a fire dragon had no business being near the sea. He was getting nauseous even thinking about it.

He had heard Harrison wanted Twilight to lead the expedition, or Alan, to be exact, but they could not contact him at all. Still, he knew Harrison probably had a plan in mind, with or

without Alan.

'What are they even doing?'

While contact had been cut off, he still had some sort of idea what Alan and his group were doing, courtesy of Sir Oliver who could no longer hold it in and had to provide an excuse to

Harrison.

They were training, and Elijah wished he could join them as well. But alas, work had to take priority. Still, he was enjoying his time on this planet.

He had so much to see, after all. He already witnessed the destruction that lay in the North, where an entire mountain range was obliterated. He had gone there, hoping to find any remains of the city of giants twilight had gone against, but there was nothing.

There was only flat land left there, Elijah was disappointed, but he had more to see. The temple in the west, and Twilight's base in the south, and whatever he would encounter on the other side of the sea. An island? Another continent? Or a horror beyond expectations?

The last one didn't ignite a spark of excitement within him, but the rest did.
