Chapter 237: Chapter 251 Teasing
"Liz, I don't think this is right."
"Mika is right. We'll be finished if we're discovered. Besides, those zombies are so scary."
"Shut up, you can go back if you don't want to. Also, he's not called a zombie, he has a name, his name is Nick!"
"But...Liz, Carol said they were zombies..."
"Molly, if you keep talking about Nick like that, go back. I'll never play with you again."
"Hey, Liz, you can't do this to Molly."
Behind the wire fence, four children of different ages and obvious height differences were arguing.
There were three girls and one boy. The tallest one was a boy wearing glasses. He looked to be about fifteen or sixteen years old and his height was not much different from that of an adult.
There were three girls, one of whom looked only seven or eight years old, and the other two looked to be around ten years old.
"What are you doing?" A somewhat cold voice came from behind them.
"Ah!" Mika exclaimed.
"Ah!" Molly also exclaimed.
"Who?" the oldest boy turned around and asked.
Liz quickly dropped what she was holding on the ground, covered it with her feet, and then turned around.
"My name is Carl, Carl Grimes, and I want to know what you are doing?" Carl's face was calm.
His eyes were always on Liz. Of the four people, Carl only remembered Liz and Mika, and he recognized them immediately.
When Liz saw that it was not an adult, she immediately stopped panicking and stretched out her hand generously.
"Liz, Liz Samuels, just call me Liz. Why haven't I seen you before? Are you living in prison too?"
Carl looked at Liz's bloody hand, but did not reach out. He asked again, "What are you doing?"
It seemed that because of Karl's cold attitude, Liz curled her lips in dissatisfaction, and no longer paid attention to Karl, and turned around to pick up the things she had just thrown on the ground.
A rat, a dead rat, a skinned and bloody rat.
And just in front of the barbed wire, there were two zombies. I don't know if they were attracted by the blood of the dead rat or the breath of these people.
The two zombies were clinging to the wire fence, with their fingers clasped in the gaps between the wires. Fortunately, the wires were stretched densely enough to prevent the zombies' arms from reaching in.
"Hey, my name is Patrick, is your name Carl?" Patrick, the older boy with glasses, waved his hand awkwardly and smiled.
Hearing this name, Carl's attention was drawn to it. It seemed familiar and he remembered it, not just the name, but much more.
Carl narrowed his eyes slightly, it seemed that he had to make some preparations.
"Well, hello, Patrick," Carl nodded and turned his attention to Liz again.
Liz held the dead mouse and seemed to want to feed it to the zombies, but she didn't throw it away directly. Carl felt that this was more like a tease.
It's like holding a cat teaser and teasing a cat.
"Is it fun?" Carl asked softly.
"Not bad, do you want to try it?" Liz smiled back.
Then he saw Carl holding a gun in his hand, and subconsciously became nervous, "Where did you get the gun? Carol said that we kids can't carry weapons."
"Carl, did you steal it? That's cool, can you show it to me?" Patrick was eager to try, but didn't dare to get too close.
Carl ignored it, looked at Liz and asked, "What are their names?"
"His name is Nick." Liz pointed to the zombie in overalls on the left, then to the one on the right, "Wayne, his name is Wayne."
"Did you choose the name?" Carl raised his eyebrows slightly.
Liz pointed at Nick and shook her head. "No, look, Nick has a work badge on his chest. It's Nick. I gave Wayne the name. I think he should have a name too."
Carl raised his eyebrows slightly and put away the Glock. Originally, Carl wanted to kill the two zombies in front of Liz, but Carl changed his mind.
"Hey Carl, you're not going to tell Carol are you?" Patrick asked.
"Carl? I remember now, Sofia mentioned you." Mika suddenly clapped his hands and looked at Carl with interest.
Carl nodded to Mika, looked at Liz and said, "Liz, what do you think would happen if your father knew that you were feeding the zombies? What would happen if Carol knew?"
Liz's eyes were a little flustered, but she still tried to remain calm and said, "Do you want to snitch? Then go ahead, but no one wants to be friends with a snitch. If you don't snitch, you can join us."
Carl was stunned for a moment, then a smile appeared on his face. Liz was indeed very different. He even saw his own shadow in a trance. This was why Carl gave up the idea of shooting the zombies.
Carl turned his attention to the three people except Liz, "Patrick, Mika, and this..."
"Molly, just call her Molly." Patricia introduced her.
Molly was the youngest and nodded to Carl shyly.
Carl also nodded and said, "Patrick, Mika, Molly, the three of you go play on the side first. I need to be alone with Liz for a while."
"Why?" Patrick rolled his glasses, somewhat reluctantly.
"Liz, let's not play this anymore." Mika hugged her sister's arm.
Carl smiled slightly, "Liz, let them leave, I promise not to tell on you."
"Okay, swear." Liz agreed quickly, and then pulled Mika's arm away. "Go over there quickly, I'll be there soon."
"But, Liz..." Mika pouted in grievance.
"Mika, let's go, it's okay." Patricia waved her hand quickly, as if she was also afraid that Karl would tell on her.
Carl added, "By the way, if any of you see Sean, remember to tell him to come find me when he's free."
"Sean doesn't have time for us." Patricia smiled helplessly.
"If you don't dare, tell other adults and ask them to help pass on the message. Just say that Carl is looking for him. He won't refuse."
Carl glanced at Patrick and said nothing more. He waved to Liz and said, "Follow me."
Then Carl continued walking along the edge of the wire fence without hesitation.
Liz caught up, and even though she was a little "special", she still retained the one thing that all the kids had in common, which was the fear of the accused parents.
Karl looked back and saw that Liz was still holding the dead mouse in her hand. He couldn't help but frowned and said, "Throw it away."
"Oh." Liz pouted in dissatisfaction, but she didn't dare to talk back. After all, she now had a "handle" on this guy.
Liz looked around and threw the dead mouse into the grass at her feet without feeling too reluctant.
She clapped her hands and was about to continue walking forward, only to see that Karl had stopped, causing her to almost bump into him. Liz pouted, becoming even more annoyed with this guy.
"Why don't you throw the dead rats out? Aren't you feeding them?"
