Chapter 240: Chapter 254 Many
The corridor was a little dim, but there didn't seem to be anything unusual at the moment. Carl quickly went down to the fifth floor and just happened to run into Glenn walking down the corridor.
"Carl, where are you going?" Glenn looked at Carl in surprise.
"Where are you going? Where am I going?" Karl glanced at him and continued to go downstairs.
Glenn quickly followed, "Sean probably didn't ask you to go, did he?"
As he walked, paying attention to the corridor below him, Karl asked, "Do you know what happened?"
"Sean said that it seems that someone in the cell block turned into a zombie and attacked some people. Now it's a mess over there, but the task he gave me is to guard the entrance to our building."
"Well, it came a little too fast." Carl muttered in a low voice.
"What?" Glenn didn't quite hear.
"Nothing, just do as Sean said and protect this place."
With Glenn by his side, Carl's pace became much faster. He no longer had to be so careful and soon reached the first floor.
There were already three people at the door on the first floor, including Sean. The other two could be considered elderly people. They were the four survivors of the prison, Axel and Oscar.
Sean was slightly stunned when he saw Karl, "Why did you run down here too?"
Karl laughed and said, "Do you think I don't know? Now you say it's a waste of time for me to go back. You'd better hurry up."
Sean raised his eyebrows, but didn't bother with Karl anymore. He said to Glenn and the others,
"This is an infectious disease. Someone must have died from the disease and turned into a zombie, then attacked others. The three of you guard this building. Except for the zombies, no one else can be allowed to enter."
"What if someone escapes?" Glenn asked.
Carl said directly, "Let them keep a distance from you and wait aside. If there are zombies coming, shoot them. There won't be too many zombies. The three of you are enough."
"Well, that's it, pay attention guys." Sean nodded, turned around and walked away quickly.
Karl hurriedly followed and asked, "Who did you ask to find the medicine?"
"Daryl, Maul, Bob, Tyree, Michonne, and your father Rick, they're all good guys."
"Except Bob." Carl pouted.
Sean raised his eyebrows slightly, "What's the problem? He's also a doctor, at least he can tell the difference between medicines."
"No, not at all." Carl shook his head.
"You reminded me that I should have been more prepared." Sean looked a little unhappy.
"Don't blame you, some things are destined." Carl shook his head.
I pulled out the Glock again and here we are.
There were several people guarding the entrance to the cell block, Martinez, Shumpert, and several people from Woodbury, all of whom were now working for the prison.
Carl had said long ago that as long as you didn't really want to die, sooner or later there would be only one choice, and with some guidance, it wouldn't be difficult.
"How's it going?" Sean asked.
"It's not very clear. It's a bit messy in there. We can go in and help." Martinez said.
"Well, leave two people to guard and prevent the zombies from running around. If someone comes out, let them wait aside and keep their distance. Don't run around."
Sean ordered, then looked at Karl and frowned, "Karl, if it's an infectious disease, you'd better not go in. As a child, your resistance is relatively weak."
"Give me a flashlight, I'll go find Liz, you guys clean up the zombies and resolve the riots." Carl said.
"Liz?" Sean was slightly stunned.
"Every second you delay now could result in the death of one person. If you don't care, you can continue to delay. I will be fine."
"Damn, take it, Martinez, you follow Carl and protect him." Sean handed the flashlight to Carl.
Carl took the flashlight, turned it on and ran straight in. Time was tight and Carl didn't have much time to waste. Sean was good at everything except that he could be quite talkative sometimes.
But Carl can understand it, because he cares about himself. But fortunately, Sean doesn't force himself, but it may not be the same if it is Rick.
"Carl!" Sean shouted anxiously and ran in with others.
Carl ignored Sean. There were hundreds of people in a cell block, and it was impossible for all of them to turn into zombies. This number of zombies would not pose much of a threat to him.
Carl must find Liz as soon as possible. Although Liz did not die in this accident in the original trajectory, the development has deviated too much compared to the original trajectory.
In the original trajectory, it was Carol who saved Liz, but now Carl doesn't live here at all.
Carl had been to the cell block several times and knew Liz's room, so he had a clear route along the way.
With a flashlight in the left hand and a Glock in the right hand, they quickly entered the first area, Zone C. At this time, the open space outside the cells in Zone C was in chaos.
On the ladders and in the passages, there were people or zombies running everywhere, and some were shooting. More people locked themselves in cells, so they were safe for the time being.
Carl did not stay for too long, nor did he deliberately help anyone. He just fired two shots to kill the two zombies on his route, and quickly walked towards the passage behind area C.
Liz is in area D, and in the entire prison area, the only areas with people living in them are areas C and D.
Open the iron gates connecting area C and area D, and then close them again. The riot in area D is smaller than that in area C, but there is no resistance. There are nearly ten zombies in the open space outside.
There are no living people outside. The people here have no weapons to resist, including those in Area C. Weapons are under control, but because Area C is outside, reinforcements can arrive faster.
Carl didn't hesitate. He quickly pulled out the Glock and shot. The zombies were almost all lying on the ground eating the corpse. They were shot dead by Carl before they noticed him.
The several zombies on the first floor were dealt with without any pressure. Carl shot the zombies in the head again, changed the magazine and then quickly went up to the second floor.
"Uh uh…"
There were also zombies on the second floor, lying in the corridor and eating corpses. There was also a zombie in the first cell just next to Carl. The zombie was covered in blood and was waving his hands wildly through the railings, trying to catch Carl.
"It's really pitiful to choke to death on your own blood." Carl raised the Glock and shot it to end his suffering.
He killed a few more zombies and walked past the cells.
There were some living people and some zombies in the cell. If they were zombies, Carl would not have wasted time shooting and would have found Liz first.
Carl didn't want Liz to die so early, because then his life would be much more boring and lonely.
"Kid, what's going on outside? Have the zombies been dealt with?" someone asked through the iron door of the cell.
"Kid, it's dangerous outside! Do you want to come in?" Someone eagerly wanted to open the door so that Carl could go in and take shelter.
"You have a gun? Kid, give me the gun, I can use a gun, I can help." Someone else saw the gun in Carl's hand.
Carl ignored them until the last person who wanted his gun. Carl took a look and had no impression of him. He only said, "If you don't want to die, stay in the cell."
Then Carl quickly ran towards the cell where Liz was in his memory.
