Chapter 795: Claw of Darkness
Sure enough, as the chaotic crimson-blood phenomenon spread, countless dark beasts began breaking through the Dark Void Domain.
On the map monitored by the micro-surveillance bot, hundreds of tier-12 dark beasts were entering the Dark Void Domain like it was nothing.
The plane barrier and the pseudo-tier-13 array seemed like mere illusions as the disaster continued to unfold before their eyes.
Yet seeing this, not only were the Absolutes undeterred, there was even a hint of excitement in their eyes.
"The feast has begun!"
"With such a large number of tier 12 beast, my advancement to the peak of the absolute realm was secured!"
"Hahaha, it's time we show these beasts the might of the Aeon Plane!"
"That Maximus is incredible! This feast—I love it!"
By now, thousands of dark beasts had already invaded the Dark Void Domain, filling their hearts with ecstasy.
Controlling the Void Outpost, they were eager to fire and start the harvest.
Unfortunately, seeing their intention, Maximus quickly stopped them.
"It's not time yet..."
Maximus didn't know what it was, but his True Path was passively warning him of a greater danger.
Thousands of tier-12 dark beasts didn't seem to be the full consequence of his actions.
Sure enough, as tens of thousands more tier-12 dark beasts entered the fray, a claw that shrouded everything emerged from the void.
"What is that?!"
"This Feeling…This Power…It's that monster!"
"How could it be?! How could this monster appear here?! Isn't this just a simulation?!"
Seeing the claw, the Absolutes immediately recognized its identity.
The dark beast that had nearly destroyed the Aeon Plane, the strongest dark beast capable of toppling everything, the Archon of Darkness!
As the claw slowly descended, despair took hold in their hearts.
The Overlords were still in seclusion. The Tower of Knowledge, their fallback plan, was still unfinished.
Unprepared for the coming disaster, their only choice was to escape.
But if they didn't defend the area, this strike alone would destroy the Dark Void Domain, the prison that kept the dark beasts at bay.
Without the Dark Void Domain, the Aeon Plane would be invaded from all sides, turning the very void into purgatory.
"Is this what Maximus called a simulation?!"
"Simulation my ass—this is enough to destroy us all!"
Although it was only a shadow of the tier-13 dark beast, without the top architectures and the Overlords behind them, they were heavily overpowered.
"Calm down. It's not over yet..." Maximus said, staring intently at the shadow closing in.
"What do you mean? What should we do?"
Feeling the confidence in his tone, the Absolutes barely calmed down, waiting for his orders.
"At my cue, use all the Plane Origin I gave earlier to fire ten consecutive attacks."
"Is that enough?"
Although they knew the Dark Plane Blaster could one-shot a tier-12 dark beast, the Archon of Darkness was on another level.
"Trust me."
In these few seconds, he had already calculated the exact power needed to fend off the attack.
One hundred thousand magnitude. Using Frir's measurement system, Maximus estimated it would take about 100,000 magnitude of power to fend off the attack of the tier 13 dark beast.
With 30 Void Outposts, each equipped with a Dark Plane Blaster capable of firing a 1,000 magnitude attack, ten consecutive attacks would equal 300,000 magnitude.
Of course, this was only possible if he could perfectly combine all that power into one.
Unfortunately, much less the strength he currently had, even if he became an Overlord, he wasn't sure he could merge such a simultaneous attack without any loss.
Fortunately, he didn't need to destroy the tier 13 dark beast. He only needed to fend it off.
An attack between 50,000 to 70,000 magnitude should be enough to make the Archon of Darkness retract its claw.
As for the chaotic crimson-blood phenomenon, it vanished the moment the Archon acted.
With power exceeding the plane's capacity, no matter how miraculous the phenomenon, it would collapse under the weight of such pressure.
With his plan set, Maximus waited for the perfect moment.
Meanwhile, under his command, the Absolutes calmed themselves, staying on high alert, ready to fire the moment he gave the signal.
Finally, as the shadowy claw opened its palm to strike, Maximus activated Origin Explosion, magnifying his power ten billion times.
"Fire!"
At his command, ten consecutive blinding blasts erupted from each void outpost, converging into a single point.
Each beam, familiar with his energy, was drawn to his control. Weaving them together, he began amplifying their strength as they surged toward the incoming claw.
Feeling his power about to destroy his body, yet only condensing an attack of only about 30,000 magnitude, Maximus grew grim.
"Not enough..."
If this attack failed, coupled with his body already strained, everything would be over.
Unwilling to let it end here, Maximus began to use plane origin, increasing the amplitude of his power, hoping to better fuse the Light of Hope fired by the Dark Plane Blasters.
11 billion... 12 billion... 13 billion... 14 billion... 15 billion...
Finally, milliseconds before his body gave out, he succeeded—merging the Light of Hope into a single attack containing 90,000 magnitude!
Boom!
The void lit up as blinding light collided with despairing darkness, as energy of hope and annihilation crashed together.
Carrying all the power and hope of the Aeon Plane, the light began to dissolve the claw of darkness, slowly pushing it back.
Seemingly unable to endure the total destruction of its limb, the Archon of Darkness swiftly retracted its claw just before the light could consume it.
With no target left, the blast exploded outward, vaporizing every dark beast in its path, reducing their numbers to a mere ten percent.
Seconds later, as the dust settled, everyone remained frozen in shock, stunned by what had just happened.
Meanwhile, Maximus, having pushed Origin Explosion beyond what his body could withstand, now floated unconscious in the void, overwhelmed by the power he had channeled.
Fortunately, the Entity of Origin arrived just in time, shielding his core and keeping it intact despite the reckless force Maximus had endured.
"You brat... what kind of insanity was that..."
