Chapter 418: Dina's Dilemma.
"That's a little harsh," Sol nodded, understanding how she felt. "She had to deal with a lot on her own after we all left too y'know."
"She had her choices and she made them, the same way we all decided after meeting each other again that we would remain friends, she decided that she was better off without us," Usami rebutted with an even deeper frown than before, an almost hateful glare directed at her hands while she spoke.

"I think the same, honestly," Dina agreed, sitting next to Usami while Ikaris took his other side with Arla. "She made her choice and chose her bed, let her lie in it."
"Well," Sol sighed, although he could agree with them all, he used to be closer than any of them with Eris, from his old life she was the one person that was somewhat close to him. "I guess that's that, though, I only thought of visiting her, my real goal was to pay a visit to D'ol, just as a formality."
"I suppose that makes sense, Arkadia on a whole is where most of our most precious memories lie," Ikaris agreed with Sol. "From the moment of our arrival to the day we said goodbye and moved to earth, we had some really good days there."
"Indeed," Arla made a note of agreement and then looked to Usami who seemed to strongly disagree, although she had not discovered the full story, she knew that Usami had a hard time there from start to finish, that she was taken advantage of and then ignored afterwards. "Usami?"
"Can I come along this time?" The Spear Hero suddenly asked. "Sol?"
"You want to?" Sol asked.
"Oh no," Unno stood as soon as he heard Usami ask. "Ma'am-"
"If you want to, there is nothing stopping you, but what about your presidency?" Ikaris asked, glancing at Unno who was already starting to panic. "You're beloved by all of earth right now."
"Earthern adoretion doesn't mea anything to me, with Alpha's help I had already set up a system that works even without my assistance or presence, the only matter of concern I have right now is the person who I would trust enough to leave in charge, and I think we all know someone who fits that bill quite well.
"She became a senator because of her connection to Master Vestic and the Alpha Federation." Renia spoke up from the other end of the table close to Dr'ul and Yu who were listening wuietly and conversing with each other as the respective strongest from their own dimensions.
"Eve?" Usami asked.
"I think she would make a fine replacement as well, she has evolved quite a bit compared to two years ago,"
"She does make for a fitting candidate, but I would rather the choice not be mine, I created a world where everyone has the common sense to choose someone who can lead them properly, aside from being the strongest human, I had no other qualification as president and earth's representative."
"Usami has grown a lot over a short period of time," Ikaris commented.
"I mean, I was only in charge of one planet, compared to the entire Sol collective that you guys govern, I'd say I've had it pretty easy-"
"Do not sell your accomplishments for any less than they deserve, Usami," Dina bumped her side. "We're all proud of you, you've come a far way from the person you once were."
"Like you're one to talk," The president chuckled and poked her friend's cheek causing everyone including Dina to start laughing as they all recalled their past selves and the journeys which brught them to this point.

"She's really good at this," Dina was seated with Talia in her lap while Gia sat in front of their TV watching her mother lead a press conference on the message that everyone had recieved earlier that day.
"She has been doing this for the better half of two years now, she might be young and somewhat inexperienced, but her social and leadership skills are of the highest calibre," Renia informed her, taking a seat and resting her head in her closed palms. "What about you?"
"Me?" Dina answered curiously.
"Yes, how have you adjusted to becoming a new goddess? Have there been any complications with your new power?" She asked.
"Not necessarily," Dina hummed. Renia, being the one that had blessed her and made becoming the goddess of calamity a possibility was the perfect person to talk to about this, since Chaos and Calamity were at base the same type of power, with Renia's Chaos divinity focused on objective anarchy while Dina's Calmity powers were more spectacular in nature and focused on subjective anarchy.
"Thanks to Master planting the divine tree within me, the transition was smooth, and my body was able to adapt to calamity without an issue, though..."
"Though?" Renia looked from the tele to her. "Is there something wrong with it after all?"
"I had a duel with Ikaris recently-"
"And lived?" Renia chuckled, but when Dina didn't even smile at the subject, the goddess of chaos stood upright and turned to her. "What happened?"
"It was only a brief moment, but I lost control of myself completely,"
"But if it was against Ikaris then it should be fine, right?"
"I thought the same at first," Dina admitted, shaking her head in the negative. "But after the fight I realised that she hadn;t even realised it, neither did Master, I lost control of myself, my senses, and became a completely different person and neither of the two most powerful people I know realised it."
"That does seem concerning," Renia narrowed her eyes, thinking of the time she had lost control against the Emporium warriors and the trauma that it left her with. "I am sure it will be okay though, if you can identify the trigger then all you need to do is avoid it, right?"
"You know just as well as I do that it's not as easy as just saying it, Rania." Dina shook her head. "Unexpected things happen all the time, the last thing I need to be doing in the middle of a fight to the death is worrying about losing control of my mana and going berserk."
"Dina,"
"What-"
"The only other option is to not use your powers of Calamity at all."
