The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system

Alix had been in the studio for about an hour so far and she had recorded two melodies and she was on her way to recording a third. Two were from the gaming world and one was an original composition, her work.

Outside of the booth, Jin Kang and a music producer were both listening in a dream like state. It was simply too beautiful and hypnotic, something that could be called an out of the world experience.

She was wrapping up the third recording when another person arrived. A middle aged man who even though was dressed nicely, reeked of smoke.

"Fuck!! Director Ban, you reek." The music producer complained.

He waved his hand around to chase away the smell of the cigarettes.

"You called me when I was on my cigarette break and told me to rush here as if my life depended on it. What could I have done about the smoke?"

Director Ban shrugged and looked apologetic.

The music producer got some face masks and gave one to Jin Kang.

Both of them had their attention divided between Alix and Director Ban.

"En, Director Ban, this is Jin Kang, she is Lin Alix's manager." The music producer pointed to Jin Kang with his thumb.

Then he turned the thumb the other way and pointed to the director.

"Miss Jin, this is Director Ban, he is a music director. If you have watched movies like the first hour, betrayal in Wuhang, the empire's escape. He directed them all, and many more. He is very famous and very rich."

Jin Kang smiled beneath the mask because she knew the movies that were mentioned. They had all been successes at the box office.

She may not be familiar with the man behind them but meeting a rich person was potentially never a bad thing.

"Yes, who doesn't know director Ban in the country? He is a great man." She responded quickly in a flattering voice.

"Hello director, I am jin Kang, a music teacher and secretary/cashier/manager for Lin Alix and Songbird music school."

She had her bag nearby and retrieved a business card which she handed to him.

Director Ban touched his own pockets and then shook his head apologetically.

"Sorry, I have no cards today."

"It's okay, you have my card and you can always share your phone number with me directly." Jin Kang was nothing but flexible.

The producer did not want to waste much time so he went directly to the point.

"Director Ban, I found you the perfect composer. Listen to her playing, and her melodies, it's breathtaking."

He had lowered the volume but turned it up for Director Ban to listen and appreciate this gift of music that had been birthed from the heavens themselves.

"Isn't she good?" He asked.

Director Ban removed the cap from his head and Jin Kang's eyes bulged.

He was fit, well dressed and well kept for a middle aged man but he had a whole bald patch in the center of his head.

"Oh, you forgot your toupee." The music producer reminded him.

Director Ban's hands moved incredibly fast and he put the black cap back on his head. His eyes darted to Jin Kang, wondering if she had seen his source of embarrassment.

Jin Kang was looking into the recording booth with intense attention.

Phew!!, Director Ban sighed in relief. She had not seen anything.

The producer lowered the volume and played for director Ban the first song which Alix played, the song which took down the frog in the swamp.

He closed his eyes and experienced the same out of body hypnosis that all who listened to it did.

Director Ban felt as if he was floating, in the middle of warm water, surrounded by hundreds of awards from all the movies he directed.

Their shine was so bright, brighter than gold that it almost blinded him.

And just like that, the beautiful dream went away and he opened his eyes and looked for it.

The music producer had turned off the recording hence the vanishing of his dream.

"She calls it assault on the frog in a swamp." The music producer said.

"Bah! What an unfit name for such a special tune. Talk some sense into her, she should change it before ruining it. No, I am going to buy it." Director Ban made up his mind.

The music producer smiled proudly and he beat his chest two times like a silver buck gorilla declaring his strength.

"I told you, I have an ear for the best music in the world. If we get the perfect composer and the right musician your movie call of my country will be raised to another level.

I am producer Mao, my ears are the best in this business. You better prepare my cut for discovering her."

While the producer bragged, Jin Kang could not help asking herself, have you asked the owner if she is willing to sell?

Although, Alix's name being linked to the movie would be a good thing. It could get more publicity for her and the school. They would need to discuss this alone.

"Miss Jin, how much does miss Alix usually charge for her compositions?" Director Ban asked her.

Jin Kang bit her bottom lip and thought in her mind, oh crap, I have not thought about how to ask for. Wait, this is Alix's decision.

"You will have to discuss this with her director, it's her music after all." Jin Kang answered.

She got her phone and sent a message to Holea.

[Send me the number of a good lawyer please. It's an emergency, Alix might be needing one.]

She added a handful of begging emoticons, some even shedding tears.

When Alix came out of the booth, she found three people where she had left two.

She nodded at the stranger and then looked at the other two.

"How did I do?" She asked.

"Excellent." Jin Kang answered and cheered as she clapped.

"It was marvelous." Producer Mao added to Jin Kang's words. "Miss, this is director Ban."

He went into a similar introduction as the one he had given to Jin Kang.

Director Ban and Alix politely nodded at each other and then Director Ban as always went straight to the point.

"How much do I have to pay to buy your compositions? Your manager said that these are all your original works." He looked at Jin Kang when he said manager.

Alix looked at her friend and smiled curiously. When did you become my manager? Her eyes asked.

"I especially want the first one, there is something unique about it. If I include it in the movie it will make the viewers see into the world of my main actress and understand her anguish.

My movie could also win best film music or best original music. This will be a win-win for both of us." Director Ban continued.

In her mind, Alix contacted the system.

"Hey elf, I can still buy more music scrolls with points, right?"

"Yes host, aren't you the one playing the character of a bard. The more you play the more scrolls you get."

"So how much do you think I should charge?" She asked.

"A price which will not embarrass me. That music is worth almost as much as the diamond you won." It replied.

Alix looked at the calm faces which were waiting for her to answer.

"Haha," she laughed nervously.

"Will you sell?" Director Ban asked her.

"Ten million. " she blurted.

"Oh great, she has embarrassed me." The system elf rolled it's eyes.
