In Luo Ziling’s eyes, Wu Mingyun and Li Mingxun were pretty easygoing and agreeable figures he had felt that way even before today.

After a bit of jesting just now, although he was a little embarrassed, that sentiment had intensified.

Both men were his seniors, yet he never felt they looked down on him, and after just a few encounters, they gave him a sense of camaraderie. Li Mingxun and Wu Mingyun were delighted to hear Luo Ziling say this.

The medications gifted by Luo Ziling had been sent for pharmacological testing and component analysis, but the results were not out yet. If Luo Ziling could provide the detailed formulae, then the component analysis wouldn’t even be necessary- they would just need to perform the pharmacological tests and analysis.

However, Luo Ziling told them that he didn’t know the formulas for the medications at the moment, and he couldn’t get in touch with his grandfather, so they would have to discuss it later, which Wu Mingyun and Li Mingxun found quite regrettable.

While Luo Ziling was chatting with Li Mingxun and Wu Mingyun, some other medical colleagues and attending leaders came over to greet him. She had no desire to stay too long at such an event.

Once Ouyang Feifei decided to leave, she immediately departed.

As they got into the car, Ouyang Feifei quietly asked Luo Ziling, “Do you have any antidote for alcohol?”

“I used to be allergic to alcohol,” Ouyang Feifei said seriously, “before you treated me, I hardly ever touched alcohol.”

“Then don’t take any sobering medicine for now,” Luo Ziling suggested, “Let’s see if your allergic constitution has improved.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be going back?”

“I’ll observe for a while before I head back,” Luo Ziling answered with a smile, “It’s also a good way to check the treatment’s outcome. If you don’t have an allergic reaction later, it means the treatment worked pretty well.”

Ouyang Feifei had been suffering from a stubborn ailment since childhood, primarily due to an allergic constitution which could cause severe allergic reactions and asthma. Some people with this condition also have an allergy to alcohol, and such chronic, lingering diseases are very hard to cure.

Luo Ziling hadn’t known that Ouyang Feifei was also allergic to alcohol; she had never mentioned it before.

If he had known about this, he certainly wouldn’t have drunk with Ouyang Feifei, and would have advised her against drinking.

Since drinking could lead to an allergy, Luo Ziling decided that he definitely needed to observe her closely today.

If there was an allergic reaction, he would need to intervene; if not, no treatment would be necessary.

“All right!” Ouyang Feifei agreed. As she turned her face to look at the street scene outside, the corners of her mouth lifted slightly. If Luo Ziling had been watching closely, he might have even noticed the faint smile in her eyes.

Unfortunately, Luo Ziling’s gaze was also directed outside the car window, and he failed to notice Ouyang Feifei’s eyes.

When the motorcade returned to Ouyang Feifei’s villa, Ouyang Feifei did not invite Wang Qing inside but instructed her to prepare some documents instead.

Wang Qing obediently left.

It wasn’t until Wang Qing had left that Ouyang Feifei led Luo Ziling into the living room.

“I’m going to take a bath,” Ouyang Feifei said, not sitting down in the living room but preparing to head upstairs for a shower.

Seeing Ouyang Feifei about to go upstairs, Luo Ziling made a suggestion, “When you take a shower, blood vessels expand and the effect of alcohol is enhanced, so I suggest it’s better to wait a while.”

“All right,” Ouyang Feifei withdrew her steps towards the staircase and walked to the sofa to sit down opposite Luo Ziling.

Luo Ziling looked straight into Ouyang Feifei’s eyes, said with a half-smile, “After today, I think many people will know who I am. Should I be thanking you?”

Ouyang Feifei met Luo Ziling’s gaze without flinching, “I guess you’re blaming me.”

“I didn’t expect you would introduce me like that.”

Ouyang Feifei looked at Luo Ziling with an indifferent expression and a hint of annoyance as she asked again, “Do you think my way of introducing you was to make everyone think our relationship is unusual, right?”

“All right, let’s not talk about this topic!” Luo Ziling said, somewhat overwhelmed, refusing to discuss this matter with Ouyang Feifei.

Ouyang Feifei looked at Luo Ziling seriously for a moment, then a stubborn look flashed in her eyes, “Do you think someone like me would be content after you broke off our engagement so easily?”
