Chapter 554: Chapter 554 Take Me to See Your Mother

Luo Ziling didn’t do his usual morning exercise, but instead ran a large lap around the campus and retreated to Lake Wuming to practice for a while.

He was afraid of running into Ouyang Huihui again.

He had gradually started to change his opinion of Ouyang Huihui, but that change was destroyed in its entirety because of her rudeness last night and this morning.

Therefore, he didn’t answer the phone call from Ouyang Huihui, and after reading the few messages she sent blaming him, not only did he not reply, but he also added her to the blacklist. After taking a shower back in his dormitory, however, he removed Ouyang Huihui from the blacklist but still didn’t reply to her messages.

Today, he was planning to spend the day with Ling Ruonan; Luo Ziling was originally in a good mood, but after encountering Ouyang Huihui, his spirits were no longer that bright. Because of this, his feelings towards Ouyang Huihui had diminished even further.

After Luo Ziling took a shower in the dormitory and started to get ready to go out, those three guys were still not up.

They were awake, though, and when they saw Luo Ziling dressed up, looking quite handsome and ready to leave, the three of them started to tease him once again, asking which goddess he was going to date today and whether he was willing to take them along. Luo Ziling ignored them and left on his own.

After leaving the apartment building, Luo Ziling was surprised to receive a text from Yang Qingyin.

“Laolang, are you still on campus?”

Thinking it was a message from Ouyang Huihui, Luo Ziling’s mood instantly brightened when he saw it was from Yang Qingyin.

“Still on campus, was just about to head out to my mom’s,” he replied quickly to the message and waited with his phone for Yang Qingyin’s reply.

Yang Qingyin didn’t reply with a message, but instead called Luo Ziling directly.

“Junior, I’m free today, are you going to see your mom? Can I come with you?” Yang Qingyin giggled over the phone, “It’s been a while since I’ve seen your mom, and her cooking really tastes so good. Can you take me to have lunch?”

Yesterday, Luo Ziling had mentioned to Yang Qingyin that he was going to have lunch at Ling Ruonan’s place. But Luo Ziling didn’t expect that Yang Qingyin would propose such a plan early in the morning.

“Sure,” Luo Ziling didn’t refuse but agreed readily. Yang Qingyin was willing to go with him to Ling Ruonan’s place, and Ling Ruonan would definitely welcome her, so he was very happy to agree. After agreeing, he couldn’t help but tease Yang Qingyin, “I know the free meal is just a pretext, you really have something to discuss with my mom, right?”

“Hehe, even if you guessed right, there’s no reward,” Yang Qingyin joked, then told Luo Ziling not to wait for her on campus.

Luo Ziling was puzzled but soon understood her intention after listening to her explanation.

Yang Qingyin didn’t want some people who might be watching her to know she was going to Ling Ruonan’s place today, so she decided not to walk with him but to meet at a place some distance from the school. After ending the call with Yang Qingyin, Luo Ziling, who initially planned to walk over as a form of exercise, hailed a taxi at the door and rushed to the meeting place at top speed. Luo Ziling thought he would have to wait for a while, but when he arrived, he was surprised to find Yang Qingyin already waiting for him.

Yang Qingyin was wearing a beige trench coat today; though she wore big-framed glasses and a hat which obscured her face, her undeniable beauty could still be felt without seeing her clearly.

“Senior sister, with that outfit, you’re still turning heads,” Luo Ziling joked as he quickly approached Yang Qingyin, who was standing with her phone at the entrance of a mall, her back turned to the entrance, “If you took off the glasses, I bet the men who want to whisk you away to be their ‘The Lady in Charge of Suppressing Bandits’ could block this area up so badly that not a drop of water could get through.”

“Annoying junior,” Yang Qingyin glared at Luo Ziling, her face full of dissatisfaction, “Does it really upset you not to tease me?”

“Actually, I just love to see senior sister acting all mischievous and annoyed, it’s so adorable,” Luo Ziling said, and even reached out to pinch Yang Qingyin’s cheek, “Seeing you like this, I understand the meaning of the idiom that describes a woman’s beauty as capable of causing the downfall of a city.”

Being praised for her beauty by Luo Ziling, Yang Qingyin’s heart blossomed with joy, but she still wore a disdainful expression on her face, “Smooth talker, always trying to blind people with your words.”

After rolling her eyes at Luo Ziling, she immediately grabbed his hand, “Come on, first you have to accompany me to buy something, I can’t go see your mom empty-handed.”

“What do you want to buy?” Today, when Luo Ziling left the house, he had already brought quite a few things, and he was still holding a bag in one hand now.

“I’ll take care of what to buy, and you handle how we bring it there, let’s divide the work clearly,” Yang Qingyin said, pulling Luo Ziling by the hand and starting to run forward, “Let’s go quickly, or we might give ourselves away, then people will know where we are.”

Hearing Yang Qingyin say this, Luo Ziling didn’t hesitate and ran with her.

Yang Qingyin already had an idea of what to buy, so once they entered the mall, she headed straight for the counter.

However, while she was shopping, she didn’t let Luo Ziling follow her, instead instructing him to wait at the entrance.

This left Luo Ziling both amused and curious about what exactly Yang Qingyin was buying.

About twenty minutes later, Yang Qingyin came over carrying a bag.

Luo Ziling quickly took it from her, but there was no clear description on the outside of the bag, and he couldn’t understand what the few English letters written on it stood for. When he asked Yang Qingyin what it was, she didn’t want to say and even warned Luo Ziling not to pry.

Despite his curiosity, Luo Ziling ultimately followed Yang Qingyin’s instructions not to inquire further.

The two of them did not take a car but walked to Ling Ruonan’s residence. The place where Yang Qingyin bought the items was only about two kilometers away from Ling Ruonan’s residence. It took them less than half an hour to walk there.

Since Ling Ruonan had set up a pass for Luo Ziling to the villa residential area, the armed police soldiers guarding the gate didn’t give them any trouble. Luo Ziling still hadn’t fully grasped the nature of this upscale residential area; he found it a bit hard to understand why just a neighborhood was so heavily guarded.

When the two arrived at Ling Ruonan’s villa, Ling Ruonan was discussing something with Wuyue.

Seeing Luo Ziling and Yang Qingyin arrive together, Ling Ruonan was quite surprised but still welcomed them in warmly.

“Mrs. Ling, some things have happened recently, and I thought it best to come and talk to you in person,” Yang Qingyin immediately explained the situation upon seeing Ling Ruonan and said apologetically, “I hope Mrs. Ling won’t mind my abruptness.”

“Not at all,” Ling Ruonan said with a smile, shaking her head, “I’m very happy for you to visit, and I want Ziling to bring you over more often, it’s livelier with more people.”

Seeing that Ling Ruonan was not displeased, Yang Qingyin breathed a sigh of relief.
