This Danzo Is Weird!

A had considered using his speed to launch a surprise attack and eliminate the troublesome Danzo first.

But Danzo wasn't finished. Forming another series of hand seals, he spat out a massive fireball.

The fireball merged with the whirlwind, igniting the vines and roots on the battlefield. In an instant, a terrifying sea of flames erupted, engulfing everything in its path.

The temperature around the battlefield soared, and the exposed skin of the Kumogakure ninja began to sting from the heat.

His arm swelled, transforming into a massive wooden spear that struck A's body with tremendous force.

With his Lightning Chakra Armor completely absorbed, A was sent flying. The giant wooden spear carried his body across the battlefield and crashed violently into the Kumogakure ranks.

This single attack shattered the morale of the Kumogakure forces.

Severely injured, A had no choice but to lead his troops in a hasty retreat.

Danzo stood motionless at the battlefield's center, atop the massive wooden spear, like a deity overlooking the chaos below.

"We survived! We actually survived!"

"No, we won!"

"We defeated the Cloud Ninja!"

"Glory to Konoha!"

"Glory to Lord Danzo!"

"Glory to Lord Danzo!"

The valley erupted in deafening cheers.

The Konoha ninja, who had believed survival was impossible, could hardly believe they had made it through.

Even more surprising was that their savior was none other than the infamous elder of the village, Shimura Danzo!

At this moment, Danzo's past reputation no longer mattered. To these Konoha shinobi, Danzo was their savior, their god.

But while the others celebrated, Danzo remained calm, his thoughts already on the next battle. The defense of Kikyo Castle awaited.

"Shisui!"

"What are your orders, Lord Danzo?"

Danzo turned to Kakashi. "You'll lead these ninja. After they've rested, set up an ambush at the border. When the Sand and Cloud remnants retreat, strike hard and finish them off!"

"The remnants, huh?" Kakashi's eyes flickered, but he nodded. "Understood."

After receiving brief medical treatment, Danzo and Shisui set off for Kikyo Castle.

Before leaving, Danzo left Kakashi with one final remark:

"A ninja who fails their mission is trash. But a ninja who fails to protect their comrades is worse than trash."
