Chapter 2: Into the Abyssal Void
Two days later, Yuan stood before a towering gate carved from obsidian. Dark energy seeped through the cracks, distorting the air around it. The entrance to the Abyssal Void.
"Are you sure about this?" Xiao Hua asked, floating beside him with her sword unsheathed.
"I have to know," Yuan said firmly, pushing the gate open. A wave of cold washed over them as they stepped inside.
The darkness was thick, oppressive. Yuan activated his spiritual sense, only to find it muffled by the strange energy.
[System Alert: You have entered the Abyssal Void. All senses reduced by 50%.]
A shadow flickered in the corner of his vision. Yuan spun around, summoning his Empyrean Overlord Sword.
Suddenly, a voice echoed through the void—a voice filled with ancient power.
"You seek my legacy… but are you worthy?"
A figure emerged from the darkness, clad in black robes with crimson runes etched across them. His face was hidden beneath a mask, but his aura burned with terrifying intensity.
"I am Yuan," he declared, raising his sword. "And I will claim your legacy."
The Shadow Disciple laughed coldly. "Then survive my trial… if you can."
The shadows surged, and the battle for the forgotten legacy began.
Would Yuan succeed, or would the Abyssal Void claim him as its next victim?
To be continued…
