“Then… Great being, what brings you here?”

Lady Marquise of Nicholas gave a wry smile: “If it’s about the right to preach from the agreement… I’m sorry, you’ve seen the state of the empire now.”

“I will spread my faith myself, without anyone’s acknowledgment!”

Su Lu laughed lightly, looking at the lady marquise, not bothering with the emperor, “They call me the ‘Spirit Lord.’

“As I suspected!”

The Lady Marquise showed no surprise, suggesting she’d guessed as much.

“Did you create the ‘Eye-worshipping Sect’?” asked Su Lu.

As a divine being, he was characteristically direct and there was no chance of anyone deceiving him.

“Yes… and no…”

Lady Marquise of Nicholas gave a bitter smile and a shake of her head: “Some in the family did hope to summon Solo’s ancestor’s sanity through faith, but I know it’s a slim hope… He’s appeared a few times, resulting in the destruction of three cities in the empire and the death of a million people…”

An ancient evil creature is the byproduct of a failed transition from level six to level seven, but not all failures lead to that transformation.

The two who tried in the Chris Empire had the potential to become ancient evil creatures, suggesting that they were just a hair’s breadth away from godhood, a regrettable circumstance.

After the transformation, however, they completely lost their sanity, knowing only insanity, killing, chaos, and reproduction… almost never regaining their clarity.

‘After Solo Caesar’s failure, he became a ticking bomb. And it’s still in the Chris Empire’s territory?’

Su Lu pondered for a moment, finding the situation rather ironic.

Seeing that he was listening, Lady Marquise continued, “Another part of our family believes that the ancient evil creature can be used as a weapon in the empire, to fend off the aggressive White Eagle Federation… for example, using large-scale rituals to attract it into Federation territory. This idea has been tacitly approved and supported by the Five Churches.”

‘That’s like letting the bomb explode in someone else’s house…’

Su Lu smirked at the thought. ‘It might actually work.’

Although the ancient evil creature represented pure madness and chaos, that did not mean it couldn’t be attracted.

If the ‘scale’ of the ritual was sufficient and the intent was ‘clear’ enough, it could certainly be drawn there.

‘This move to redirect the problem is really good. The White Eagle Federation wouldn’t know how to respond… If the Lady of Radiance doesn’t step in, things could go south.’

Su Lu thought to himself.

At that moment, it seemed Craig had finally overcome his fear and, measuring his words, spoke up, “Great being, would you accept an offering from the empire?”

“And then continue to be an enemy of the church?”

Su Lu chuckled, causing Lady Marquise’s expression to change in fear that this being might do something to Craig, as even the slightest interference could spell disaster for Craig.

“Craig, what are you doing? Get back!”

She yelled at Craig, and bowed to Su Lu, “Please forgive the ignorant…”

“I have no interest in getting involved in the dispute between the Chris Empire and the White Eagle Federation… However, at some point, I will allow you to utter my name…”

Whether to respond or not was down to his mood.

Su Lu thought as much, and then disappeared from sight.

A silence descended upon the hall.

Immediately, Craig collapsed onto his seat as if his bones had been removed, “So, that is the might of a divine being? Terrifying… No wonder father always desired to be one… Too bad he failed.”

“Craig, you should follow the late emperor’s contingency plan… Since you’ve already failed, don’t be too ambitious and prioritize the preservation of the family ranks.”

Lady Marquise of Nicholas scolded, not mincing her words: “Otherwise, the Caesers… wouldn’t mind replacing an emperor!”

Upon hearing this chilling admonition, Craig’s body went cold and he answered with a tremble, “I…I understand.”

Chris Empire, southern provinces.

Outside Silver Harp City.

A barefoot ascetic of the God of Knowledge, dressed in coarse robes, slowly emerged from the void.

His murky gaze fell upon the land and the silent, destroyed city. He murmured, “The fourth one… The ancient beast hates life and loves killing, just as the records described…”

He saw a lot of damaged buildings and on the ground was a terrifyingly thick, dark green liquid, moving as if alive, constantly wriggling.

Some of it formed eggs, some embryos, incubating unimaginable evils.

The ancient evil creature was not just powerful in combat, its ability to infest was even more terrifying!

It was like a divine being walking the earth, and it could maintain its divine power and existence through considerable ‘feeding,’ essentially a tumor in the world.

Once it had grown to its maximum, it could potentially destroy the world. If it was a world as large as the Main World, drawing sufficient power from it, it could potentially ascend to becoming an evil on par with True Gods or even the Dominator!

Then, it would be a disaster for many more worlds!

“Mr. Imst, it’s up to you.”

The ascetic spoke to the void beside him.

“No problem.”

A massive dragon’s head emerged from the sky, sounding human for a moment.

It was a dragon of over a hundred meters in size, every scale the size of a bucket, dazzling a pure golden color.

Unlike the dragons from the Dragon World, the dragons of the Main World looked like winged lizards, equipped with long tails and sturdy limbs.

At that moment, the golden dragon spread its wings, casting a colossal shadow below.

It took a deep breath.

The next moment.

Golden flames fell from the sky!

– Dragon’s Breath!

The flare lit up the entire city, burning the evil eggs to ashes, conducting a large-scale purification.

After it was finished, the massive golden dragon shrank to become an elderly man in a golden robe, the emblem of the Church of Mother Earth on his chest.

He was a level six – a Giant Dragon Druid!

“Another city…” Imst sighed, “The ancient evil creature… too powerful, even a god would struggle to do more than injure it… We must find a more suitable battlefield and opportunity.”

“So, the Federation would be a good place. They have the protection of the Lady of Radiance.”

The ascetics of the Church of the God of Knowledge smiled, “Through the investigations and studies of its actions, I’ve mostly plotted its preferences… I understand what kind of ritual would be most appealing.”

“I will design a ritual soon, luring it with a strong enough temptation, to cross the sea between the New and Old Continents, to the Federation… After that, it won’t be our problem.”

The White Eagle Federation was actively moving to kick the Chris Empire from the throne of the King of the World, and give it a few good kicks while they’re down.

As for the Five Churches deeply based in the Empire, they’d also be the targets of this retaliation.

“Our spy network in the Federation isn’t very strong across the five churches, so we might need to coordinate with the Church of War and the royal family for the setting of the rituals…” continued the ascetic.

“Huh… war…”

Imst let out a strange breath, expressing his sentiments towards the matter.
