Transmigrated Become Sukuna, but the host is Yukinoshita Yukino?

Chapter 167: Chapter 167 - A Job Well Done

A grand Buddhist altar suddenly appeared behind the black-haired girl.

In that instant, the clear blue seawater turned crimson, transforming into a sea of blood.

"What?"

"What the hell is happening!?"

A sudden surge of overwhelming pressure exploded around them. The three turned their heads, eyes filled with shock.

"She awakened domain expansion… at a time like this?" Ino Takuma's mouth hung open in disbelief. "What kind of monster is she?"

Blunt as ever, Ino Takuma voiced exactly what everyone was thinking.

"But now…"

There was no time to be amazed.

Zenin Naobito suddenly realized something. He quickly turned his gaze back to the red figure standing on the water in the distance.

A grotesque piranha suddenly lunged at him. Instinctively, he raised his arms in defense, but before it could even reach him, the piranha shikigami was sliced into thin pieces of sashimi.

The shikigami horde that had vanished from sight suddenly reappeared. But what was even more shocking was that they were continuously shattering into pieces.

Invisible slashes were cutting through every single one of them without pause.

A rain of purple blood and torn flesh poured from the blood-red sky.

"What… is this?!" Dagon slowly snapped out of the shock caused by that fleeting surge of Sukuna's energy. Staring at the scene before him, he was speechless for a long moment. "Did she actually use my domain's barrier to build her own domain?"

"No way! Is that even possible?!"

His gaze fell on the black-haired girl, her hands forming a seal as she focused on maintaining her domain.

Even though it had only been a short while since she activated it, blood was already trickling from her nostrils.

"She won't be able to keep this up for long. As soon as her domain collapses, I can regain my domain's guaranteed hit effect and wipe out everyone here!"

"I'll handle the shikigami. Everyone else… please, defeat the enemy as soon as possible…" While struggling to keep the domain up, Yukinoshita Yukino spoke with difficulty. "I can't hold on much longer!"

The energy drain was massive.

Her head felt like it was burning, and her cursed energy was pouring out like a flood. At most, she could last another two minutes before her domain shattered, triggering a complete burnout of her technique.

"Two minutes, huh?" Zenin Naobito grinned before vanishing from sight. "That's plenty."

"Taking down a special-grade curse in just two minutes? Talk about a race against time." Ino Takuma let out a carefree laugh from behind his bandit mask. "If I survive this, I should be more than qualified to rank up to first-grade sorcerer."

"Beast Summon No. 3—Qilin!"

This was the only summon he could use alongside other sacred beasts. It gave his body a temporary boost, shutting off pain perception and allowing him to keep fighting even when exhausted.

Once the effect ended, though, he'd be completely out of commission.

"Beast Summon No. 2—Spirit Turtle!"

Summoning the Spirit Turtle's power onto himself, Ino Takuma charged after Zenin Naobito.

Naobito, with a few quick flashes, was already in front of Dagon.

Dagon's eyes shrank in alarm. He immediately summoned two torrents of water in front of him as a defense, but Naobito moved behind him in an instant, pressing his palm against Dagon's back.

Freeze—one second.

A sharp kick followed. The crisp sound of shattering glass echoed as Dagon's body was sent flying across the blood-red sea surface, bouncing several times before landing right in front of Ino Takuma.

A fist wrapped in cursed energy slammed into Dagon's stomach, stopping his momentum midair. Blood gushed from his mouth.

Naobito appeared on his right side, delivering a punch to his face. Then came Ino Takuma's uppercut.

Like a rubber ball, Dagon was tossed between the two, battered back and forth before crashing onto the beach.

Without the guaranteed hit effect of his Dead Swarm Army, Dagon was completely outmatched against the far faster Zenin Naobito. Once caught in his rhythm, there was almost no escape.

I can't… I can't die at their hands!

For a split second, Dagon's mind wavered. But at that moment, he finally saw an opening and immediately retreated, leaping back onto the sea's surface before sinking into the water.

In the end, that woman's domain was only temporarily overlapping with my domain's barrier. It's fundamentally different from a true domain clash.

All she can do is cancel out my domain's guaranteed hit effect for a short time. Nothing more.

If I just stall long enough, victory will be mine!

"Damn it." Naobito clicked his tongue, his expression turning grim.

"Ah, crap! That thing went underwater! Now we can't touch it!" Ino Takuma looked just as frustrated.

If Dagon stayed hidden in the depths, there wasn't much they could do about it.

"I got this!"

Kugisaki Nobara stepped forward, looking at the black-haired girl struggling to maintain the barrier.

"Yukinoshita, let a few of those shikigami slip through for me."

Hearing that, Yukinoshita Yukino nodded and did as she was told.

One of the shikigami that had avoided being sliced apart lunged at the black-haired girl, but Kugisaki Nobara grabbed it midair. She drove two nails straight through its body, pinning it to the sand.

"Resonance!"

Her hammer, charged with cursed energy, slammed down, detonating the energy in the nails. At the same time, deep below the ocean surface, Dagon felt the impact—not just physically, but on a soul-deep level.

"Ugh!"

Dagon felt a sharp pain in its head but still refused to surface.

"I just have to endure it! If I hold on, victory is mine!"

Kugisaki Nobara kept hammering away at each shikigami, one after another. Her arm grew weak and sore from the relentless strikes.

Even after using up every single nail she had, Dagon still refused to come out from hiding in the depths.

"Argh! This thing isn't an octopus—it's a damn turtle hiding in its shell!!!"

She was clearly frustrated.

Yukinoshita Yukino, on the other hand, was also reaching her limit.

With a sharp cracking sound, her Domain Expansion shattered. The sky and sea returned to their clear blue state. The army of undead that had briefly frozen in place suddenly resumed their attack, emerging from the water once more, vanishing as they charged toward their targets.

A massive pillar of water shot into the air, revealing a red figure.

Dagon, now covered in wounds, stood before them again. Though battered, it let out a triumphant laugh.

"You threw everything you had at me, but in the end, I still win!"

"Tch... So annoying. If you're so tough, stop hiding like a coward!"

Kugisaki Nobara rolled her eyes and scoffed.

Zenin Naobito silently shifted into a defensive stance.

Meanwhile, Ino Takuma was still suffering from the aftereffects of summoning the divine beast Kirin. He had already taken off his headgear and was lying flat on the sand, arms and legs spread out, completely powerless.

"Ugh… I can't… move…"

Yukinoshita Yukino said nothing. She bit her lip so hard that blood seeped out, but she didn't even notice. Her face was full of frustration.

With her domain shattered, her technique broken, and almost all her cursed energy drained, it felt like she had been hit with one debuff after another. Her body finally gave out, and she collapsed onto the sand.

As the adrenaline wore off, the pain from her injuries finally hit her.

Is this it?

Even after managing to pull off a partial Domain Expansion, I still couldn't beat a Special Grade?

I'm just… too weak…

A red figure suddenly appeared before her.

Dagon's deep voice rumbled.

"To awaken Domain Expansion in the middle of battle… That kind of talent and potential—I can't let you walk away alive. Otherwise, you might just become the next Gojo Satoru."

As it spoke, it raised its hand.

In the next instant—

Its red octopus-like head rolled off its shoulders.

"Yo, good work out there."

A familiar, gentle voice spoke.

The black-haired girl's eyes widened in shock. Instinctively, she looked up.

What she saw was a faint smile filled with reassurance.

"You did your best."

…

Diving into Ryoumen Sukuna's memories, it didn't take long for Hayashizaki to find something related to that white-haired, bob-cut girl.

"Oh, so her name is Limei."

Returning to reality, Hayashizaki's face showed both surprise and amusement.

Sukuna's little maid had mistaken him for her master.

All good.

"Yes."

Seeing that Sukuna had finally recognized her, Uraume felt a wave of joy inside. But she quickly suppressed it, keeping a calm expression as she spoke with nothing but respect and admiration for him.

Noticing that she was carrying something with Sukuna's aura, Hayashizaki smirked slightly, a sly look flashing across his face.

"So, you have the fingers with you, right?"

"Yes, these are two fingers I collected for Sukuna. Please accept them."

Hearing this, Uraume immediately took out two dried, wax-like fingers wrapped in sealing talismans covered with strange symbols from inside her robe. She respectfully held them out with both hands.

"I'm working with a man named Kenjaku. This battlefield is just a distraction. His real goal is the six fingers and the Special Grade Cursed Object, the Nine Cursed Wombs, stored inside Jujutsu High. He should have them by now."

"Adding those to the four fingers he and the four disaster curses already had, that makes ten in total."

Before Hayashizaki could even start prying for information, this loyal follower of Sukuna had already spilled everything about Kenjaku's plan on her own. Truly an easy-to-manage subordinate.

He took the fingers and stuffed them into his pocket. After confirming the direction, he grabbed Uraume by the collar and vanished from the rooftop with her, leaving her confused.

In the blink of an eye, she found herself in an underground shopping area. However, most of the space was covered by a barrier.

Judging by the cursed energy flowing through it, someone had activated a Domain Expansion here.

Besides that, there were also a few sorcerers.

"Stay here."

He casually let go of her and walked toward Itadori Yuji and the others. They were desperately pounding on the barrier, trying to break it from the outside.

Uraume nodded knowingly.

These sorcerers were really unlucky to run into Sukuna.

But honestly, being killed by him in person was probably the greatest honor they could ask for.

The young man with black hair didn't bother hiding his presence. His footsteps echoed through the space, making everyone instinctively turn toward him.

But before they could even feel wary, their caution was instantly replaced by excitement.

"Hayashizaki-sensei!"

Itadori Yuji called out in surprise.

Even more thrilled than him was a certain dead-fish-eyed boy who was on the verge of passing out from blood loss.

The moment Hikigaya Hachiman saw that familiar deadpan face, his groggy mind snapped awake. He immediately stood up from the steps, frantically waving his injured hand—deep enough to expose bone—to get his attention.

Hurry up and heal me!

If you don't, your adorable student is about to pass out from blood loss!

But the movement only made his wound tear open further, sending another wave of pain through him. His face twisted in agony.

"Alright, alright, no need to wave so hard. I can see it just fine."

With an exasperated sigh, Hayashizaki placed a hand on Hachiman's shoulder.

In an instant, the wound on his arm healed completely. Not even a scar was left behind—it was as if he had never been injured at all.

Uraume, who had been looking forward to watching the sorcerers die, was now completely stunned.

"Thank you so much. That really saved me."

Hikigaya Hachiman let out a deep sigh of relief. Then he suddenly remembered something and quickly spoke up.

"Yukinoshita-senpai got trapped inside a domain by a Special Grade curse with an octopus head!"

"I know."

So what I sensed earlier was just a Cursed Womb… No wonder I misjudged it.

"Hayashizaki-sensei, please get them out of there! This barrier is way too strong—we've tried everything, but we can't break it!" Itadori Yuji pleaded anxiously.

"Relax. The domain is still standing, which means the fight isn't over yet."

Hayashizaki walked up to the barrier and suddenly asked,

"How long has this domain been active?"

Hikigaya Hachiman paused for a moment, thinking carefully before answering.

"About ten minutes, I think."

"Ten minutes, huh. That's not bad."

Hayashizaki nodded. As expected, Yukinoshita must have learned Domain Expansion. For a brief moment, the residual cursed energy on her body resonated with her own.

That was a bit unexpected.

He placed his hand lightly on the pitch-black barrier. In less than a second, a sudden gust of wind swept out, rustling everyone's clothing.

By the time they lowered their hands from shielding themselves against the wind, the domain that had trapped them was already shattered. They didn't even see how it broke.

Had the surface of the domain been sliced apart in an instant by countless slashes?

Nanami Kento's eyes were filled with shock. Just from the immense burst of cursed energy in that brief moment, he was certain—the man before him was on the same level as Gojo Satoru.

As the domain collapsed, those trapped inside returned to the underground space. Before they could even get their bearings, Hayashizaki had already appeared behind Dagon and, with a casual swing, severed its head.

His gaze softened as it fell upon the bewildered girl. Speaking gently, he said to the one who had struggled and held on until now:

"You've done well. You've worked really hard."
