Transmigrated Into an OnlyWomenRealm: the Amazons

Chapter 68: Getting to Know Each Other

'He's so handsome!'

'Let me touch him to see if he's real!'

'O Goddess!'

These were the thoughts of Queen Otrera's old ladies as Byron passed among them.

Of course he didn't see any old lady. They all looked young and beautiful.

He didn't even notice that there were additional faces. That the number of the girls had grown.

Only when he reached the room and entered and the sight of a beautiful woman on the bed caught his eyes did he notice that something was different.

'She's the most...'

Byron was going to refer to her as the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, but now that he thought about it, that would be an understatement.

The woman was voluptuous and tall like Harmonita, but whereas Harmonita looked like a goddess, the woman looked like she was an actual goddess herself.

'There's no way she's human,' concluded Byron.

Her blue eyes, ethereal as if she had an entire galaxy within them... Her eyes took Byron's breath away just by staring at him.

The question was, who was she?

Though Byron was yet to know the face of every Amazon in Hippolyta's city, he could swear that this woman didn't belong there.

'She's not one of Hippolyta's girls,' thought Byron.

'But then again, I have thought the same thing when I met Harmonita. I wondered where Harmonita had been. Perhaps this woman had managed to avoid my gaze too.'

'Nonsense! There's no way she could have hid from me! There's no way I couldn't have seen her!'

All this had passed through Byron's mind within a matter of seconds, his eyes still feeding on the woman's beauty.

He wasn't the only one with an awe expression on his face though.

The woman's mouth was wide open, staring at Byron as if he was a snack. Like she had just witnessed a messiah!

"He really is real!" the woman muttered under her breath, more as if she was talking to herself instead of anyone else.

It was a loud thought.

"Of course he is," said Hippolyta, rising to her feet. "Let me give you a few minutes to get to know each other."

After saying this, she walked toward the door, shouting, "Girls, you're tired and hungry, aren't you? Let's go grab something to eat and refresh!"

Hippolyta had recognized the look in her mother's eyes. It was the same look she had on her face when she first saw Byron.

She had gone to New Themiscyra thinking seeing him would be something normal, and now she knew she had been so stupid to think of that.

The same thing was happening to her mother.

As for the girls, true! They all were tired and hungry.

Hippolyta's girls were hungry and tired from the time they spent praying, Otrera's old ladies tired and hungry from the journey they started yesterday afternoon.

However, none of them wanted to leave, especially Otrera's. Seeing Byron brought them nostalgia.

The memories from decades ago when they were in a world full of men... Those sweet memories poured into their minds.

Looking at Byron passing past them as he walked through the hallway toward the room where their queen was...

Looking at him gave them hope that they might be able to enjoy a male's company in the future.

It was surreal!

They knew it was going to take time, but they would eventually all have their turns.

That's why when Hippolyta told them to follow her, though they didn't want to, they agreed with joy on their faces.

If one could split their heads and look inside, the only thing he would see would be Byron's face. They all had him embedded in their minds, already fantasizing about him.

As for Byron, seeing Hippolyta leave the room and closing the door behind her further cemented his suspicion.

To think that Hippolyta would leave her with him.

'This woman must be a big shot!' thought Byron.

The woman was still mesmerized, but the sound the door made as it closed brought out of her reverie.

"Hello, Byron!" she said, extending her hand. "I'm Queen Otrera. Nice to meet you!"

Byron grabbed her hand and shook it, saying, "Oh! Hippolyta's mother! Nice to meet you too. You don't look it though. I mean, I expected a woman with black hair and golden eyes, just like your daughters."

Otrera let out a chuckle as she said, "Hmn! They deliver those features from their father. Mine are from my mom."

"She must be a beauty," replied Byron.

"She is!"

They fell silent for a moment, then Queen Otrera said, "So, how did you get here? I mean, are you really just a human?"

Byron took a step toward the bed and sat beside Queen Otrera. "What else would I be if not human?" he asked.

Otrera let out a chuckle. "You never know! Perhaps you're Zeus in disguise."

Byron saw this as an opportunity to throw a joke, so he said, "Or better, Hera!"

Queen Otrera burst out laughing. "Yeah! You might be Hera in disguise, trying to get our hopes up before you crush us once and for all."

Byron laughed with her before he said, "Rest assured! The hate for that bitch is mutual. Perhaps I hate her more than you do. She wouldn't dare hide herself in my body."

And Byron wasn't lying. The original owner of this body, Pachilles, had gone looking for Lake Themisycra because Hera's lies.

We all know how they turned out for him. Byron seemed to have inherited that hate when he gained Pachilles' memories.

"Why do you hate her?" asked Queen Otrera.

Byron explained the whole situation to her.

Of course he left out the part where he's from the modern world. He just recounted the Tale of Pachilles.

"I think you should be happy!" said Queen Otrera as soon as Byron finished recounting the tale.

He looked at her and raised his eyebrows. "Why?"

"You said you set out to find the lake in hopes that after breaking the curse Hera placed upon us, our Queen will repay you by making you her king, right?"

Byron nodded his head.

"That's why I said you should be happy. Now you're already the king you wished to become!"

"I guess you're right!"

They fell silent again.

It's not that they didn't have what to say to each other.

In fact, Queen Otrera wanted to look at him and say, "Fuck me!" She wanted to tell him how handsome he was. How she still couldn't believe she was sitting with a male. How lucky they were to have him in their realm.

She had a lot to say. However, she wasn't sure of how he would react. What if she scared him away?

If it was before, Queen Otrera would never have doubted her flirting skills.

But now, sitting here with Byron, she felt as if everything she knew wasn't enough.

She was doubting herself!

Perhaps it was because it had been so many decades since she flirted with anyone, or perhaps because the circumstances under which she met Byron were unique.

She decided to rekindle their conversation again and let fate decide what would come next.

"Penthesilea told me you were kidnapped," she said, unsure if it was the right thing to say. After all, Byron didn't look like someone who was there against his will.

She was mature enough to know the meaning of the look Byron had given Hippolyta back when he entered the room.

There had been affection in his eyes.

The mention of Penthesilea got Byron all excited. "You've talked to Penth?"

"Yeah!"

"How's she?"

"She's so angry!" replied Queen Otrera.

"At least she isn't worried," said Byron. "When Keza brought me here, I was worried that Penth and the others would be worried that I was in danger and keep blaming themselves for it. Thanks for letting me know they know where I am."

Otrera let out a chuckle. "They were not worried. They know who Keza is. Instead, they started preparing for war as soon as Keza snatched you."

"War?"

"Yeah! Apparently, they plan to attack Hippolyta and rescue you. Haha!"

"That's so sweet!" said Byron with a smile.

"What are you going to do about it?" asked Otrera.

"I plan to return to New Themiscyra tomorrow. That will put them at ease!"

When Byron said this, Queen Otrera finally found a way to start flirting. "Oh! That's so sad. And here I thought we would spend more time together."

Byron wasn't stupid. He knew what she meant. For some reason, he didn't feel any sexual desire toward her.

She was too divine for him to even think about such things. However, when she said those words, she bit her lower lip, indicating that she was thinking of him in a different way.

Whereas he was afraid she might be seeing him as a child, she saw him as a man.

"There's still plenty of time though," he said. "Plus, it's not like I'm gonna die. Who knows, perhaps I'll come visit you in your city as soon as I leave New Themiscyra. I just have to go and stop Penth from attempting war with Hippolyta."

"Really? You promise?"

"Yeah! I promise. I will come visit your city soon."

Queen Otrera was overjoyed.

"Thank you!" she said as she threw her arms around Byron to hug him.

This was a deliberate move to press her enormous melons on Byron so she could tease him.

She could see his face blushing.

Her strategy was working!
