Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas

Chapter 245: Ah, he said he'd protect me

After our meal, Seo-Jun made a suggestion.

"Do you like having the guards around?" He asked and I blinked.

Hm, well, I was already used to it, so I didn't think much about it.

The guards were always stationed around in case of emergencies or anyone who wanted to harm the Alphas.

Sometimes, I did think they were a bit too much and were in our little, you know, space.

But to think he, who needed their protection, would ask to shake them off.

"Do you want to shake them off?" I asked, tilting my head.

But that won't do, though. If he went around with that face of his, there were bound to be people who would flock around him. Right now, the intimidating guards were the reason they weren't coming closer.

If that was gone, then...

Seo-Jun suddenly flicked my forehead lightly and that stopped me from thinking.

"What are you thinking so deeply about?" He asked, "It almost looks like you're thinking of a way to save the world."

Well, no, but... Why was he so laid back?

He should be the one used to having guards for his own security.

"I'm sorry." I said. "But I don't think it's a good idea. If something goes wrong, then you..."

"Ah, right. You must be worried that something will happen to you." He said, cutting me off and I wondered what he was talking about.

The one I was worried about was him, not me. Why would I be worried about myself? I'm not a celebrity or anything and I... I quickly realized I had forgotten that on the few occasions I went out of the mansion, I always had a certain incident happening to me that made me return to the mansion unconscious.

Did he think I was worried about that?

Both times had a certain reason for what happened.

This time, I don't have a crazy bitch after me and I won't be careless either.

"But even with the bodyguards that were around, it's not like they were able to stop the accidents from happening." He said and I pursed my lips.

He was right though.

"Don't worry. I think I'm plenty enough to protect you." The words that left his lips got my heart racing.

Ah, he said he'd protect me.

"B-but," I spoke up, my heart still thumping with a certain excitement. "I wasn't worried about myself, though." I barely muttered but he heard it loud and clear.

He stared at me and then darted his eyes away, thinking.

He placed one hand on his waist and another on the back of his neck. He looked a little restless. What was he thinking about?

"Help me out here." He said. "I can't figure it out so tell me. Who are you worried about if not yourself?"

What? Was that what he was thinking about so much?

Jeez, so he had this clueless side of him too, huh?

"Pft," I stifled a laugh and he stared, surprised and wondering what made me laugh. "I didn't expect it." I said. "But you really couldn't figure it out, huh? I was worried that you would get targeted if we went out alone with that face of yours."

"Ah, right. This handsome face of mine won't relent to attract the masses." He said, rubbing his chin, and I had to roll my eyes away to not take in that narcissistic appearance of his.

I know he was handsome and all, but could he not brag about it? He made those who were born less handsome feel like dirt.

And no, I'm not talking about myself. I like my appearance as it is, thank you very much. As an Omega, I'm pretty enough.

"Then let's do this." He snapped his fingers. "Why don't we move in disguise?" He brought up. "That way, no one will know it's me."

Ah, unless he wears a rig and changes his eye color, everyone can tell it's him. He doesn't plan to simply put on a sunshade, a nose mask, and a hat and think that's enough, right?

I was completely right.

That was his definition of a disguise.

"What? I can't cover my up handsomeness more than this."

Wrong. It was just your narcissism getting the best of you.

The more time I spent with him, the more I got to know him, and the more I was able to see all sides of his narcissism.

It was contagious because by the time we were sneaking towards our next destination, I was already admiring myself in the mirror.

(Um, I have a comment but I'll reserve it for now.)

"Where are we going now?" I asked after we had lost the guards who, for some reason, wouldn't take Seo-Jun's orders and fall back.

But Seo-Jun didn't get mad and decided to play a game of hide and seek with them.

And here we were.

They were frantically looking for us but I guess this was fine since Seo-Jun had already expressed wanting to walk around alone.

They wouldn't suddenly assume he had been kidnapped and alert the rest of my masters... Would they?

Ah, I was getting worried.

What if the rest of them got distracted from their work and decided to search for us, thinking we were 'missing'?

To solve this, I decided to drop a picture in the group chat.

It had been a dry group chat this whole time because I had no reason to drop any memo on it. But now, with this picture I secretly took of Seo-Jun with his nose mask and hat, the group chat began to boom.

Seo-Jun's phone did not stop vibrating and while he wanted to assume it was the guards that were putting in effort to find him, he noticed how frantic I looked with my phone in hand and decided to just check what was going on.

He saw there were numerous messages, not from the guards but from the group chat he didn't even know he was in.

When he opened it, the first thing he saw was the picture I had secretly taken from him and the responses of the other masters that were on fire.

He tittered and then pulled me over.

"You did it wrong, Jo-Pil." He said, and then held my chin, forcing my lips to pucker up and then he got a good selfie of both of us in one frame, while smirking like he had just won a lottery.

Ah, that was dangerous.
