Chapter 263: I had no complaint, after all
Remember when Min-Cheol and I had that Library date, and then in the morning, his men and his secretary interrupted because he had an important meeting. He roared angrily because they dared to look at his mate, who was me.
Haha, thinking of that now, I feel kinda embarrassed.
"You just needed a little Pheromone shower." He said to me. "If you feel that way and I'm not by your side, don't hesitate to ask the others for help. It's essential."
Then, does my eye changing color to full gold mean I'm going to run crazy from lack of Alpha's Pheromones?
That's a start.
But I guess it's not a bad thing to know this early.
"Why are you two bidding your time?" Seo-Jun asked, skating towards us, and then stopped. "Are you scared?" He asked me but I didn't answer, and instead looked at the ice underneath his feet that was a bit shaved from his halt.
They were all such naturals.
"I just don't want to sprain my ankle," I said and raised my head. "But I think I can try now. Little Min," I called. "Let's go."
Min-Cheol stepped on the ice first with his back towards the rest, facing me the whole time.
"Just take it slow, Hyung." He said. "And if it seemed like you're going to fall, I'll hold you up."
Gosh, sing it to the world that I weigh nothing, will ya?
I smiled, deciding to trust him.
"Alright." I said and then got on the ice.
I had knee pads on in case I fell on my knees, gloves, and a headgear.
One might think I was going to lean roller skating with this getup, haha.
"Ice might look fragile but you could die if you fell on your head." Jin-Yeok said, circling around us. "So, safety first."
"Yes, thank you," I said, not paying attention to him and watching my feet instead.
I was like a toddler taking steps for the first time but I think I was better off than babies with weak knees.
"Look up, Hyung," Min-Cheol said. "You won't get anywhere if you keep looking down."
In other words, I had to let myself go.
Easier said than done.
"Yes, that's it. You're doing great." Ki-hoon complimented, skating by my side and ready to catch me in case I fell backward and Min-Cheol couldn't help.
A little time later, they were no longer skating on their own and doing whatever they wanted; they were skating by my side since I had to hold onto Min-Cheol's hand.
It was tough, and my legs kept shaking, but with a little push and a little pull, I was able to completely look away from my own feet and focus on what was in front of me.
Call it the protagonist magic or whatever, but I got the hang of skating in no time.
I mean, I do want to brag since I am the protagonist but... Ahem, I don't want to rub it in.
"Over here, Jo-Pil." Seo-Jun called, spreading his arms to welcome me into his embrace and I skated towards him.
I had no complaint, after all.
"How do you like the ending of the date?" He asked, holding my hand and skating slowly. "I did good, didn't I?"
"Was this the ending you were hoping for?" I asked him.
"Well, not exactly." He said. "I hoped to earn as many of your smiles as possible and for the first time, have you sleep in my arms," he glanced back at me, smirking. "I wanted to get a piece of what the others have enjoyed so far, haha."
Such a simple thought.
"Even then, you could still get it." I said, my voice low but he heard it clearly. "You've earned a lot of my smiles anyway, and I think it's the most anyone has achieved today. So..." I pouted my lips.
He got what I was saying, right? I didn't need to spell it out.
Seo-Jun suddenly stopped and before I realized it, he pulled me closer, and then lifted me up, swirling around on the ice excitedly.
"What's gotten into you?" I asked but he only kept laughing.
"I don't know. I just feel happy." He said and placed me down. "If it's like this then I'm more than satisfied with the ending of this date."
I brushed my cheek, hiding my blush.
He had such a pure smile on that handsome face of his. Such a pretty smile. How could I not blush?
Ki-hoon pulled me by the hand next and with one hand holding mine, he placed my other hand on his shoulder while his other hand fell on my waist.
Ah, a gentleman to the end, I see.
It was as if he wanted us to dance some sort of waltz but it didn't even come close to what we were doing.
He simply wanted us to be in such a position while he smiled and I laughed.
The ending of the date was indeed satisfying.
I got to know more about myself and became more honest with my masters. It was a great situation.
And then, do you want to know what marked the end of our fun skating?
My stomach happened.
It suddenly growled loudly and they all heard it.
But they pretended not to hear it and while some cleared their throats, the others looked away awkwardly.
"I think it's almost dinner time." Jin-Yeok suggested.
"Let's wrap things up here and go get dinner."
Ah, I was embarrassed.
Even if they acted like they were fine with it and did their best not to laugh, I couldn't stop trembling with the level of embarrassment that was built up in me.
I think it would've been better if they had laughed.
I was going to say something but then it happened again. As if unsatisfied that no one laughed, my stomach growled a lot louder again, and this time, they couldn't even pretend not to have heard it as the laughter had already built up a lot in them.
"Just laugh, dammit!" I yelled and they burst out laughing.
I was huffing with my chest widely going in and out while my face reddened.
They were laughing so well but I didn't blame them.
It was funny, after all, and I ended up laughing as well, assuring them I wasn't mad at all.
Gosh, what an ending.
"Alright, let's go eat."
