Trillionaire's Slice of Life

Chapter 478: Take Action_2

Chu Mo nodded slightly, and the bodyguards allowed passage. Subsequently, the attractive woman with a striking appearance also arrived at the booth. She was a bit flushed, looking dazed, as if she wasn't feeling well, perhaps due to a high fever of some sort.

Chu Mo didn't care whether she was really sick or feigning illness, he asked directly:

"Miss Gao, right? Tell me everything you know, with no omissions whatsoever. Otherwise, the consequences will be more than you can bear."

The woman with stunning beauty looked up at Chu Mo, her eyes filled with a placid hue. Taking a deep breath, she seemed to be recalling something. After a moment, she said:

"I don't have much to say. I had just started my shift last night when the manager told me that there was a VIP I needed to serve. I went there, he was surrounded by dozens of bodyguards, obviously a very important person, so I was very careful the whole time. Aside from toasting drinks in the middle, I barely spoke at all.

Then, Miss Zhao from the Zhao family came over, and they seemed to be discussing something about the Moon Lake Tower. I didn't understand the specifics. Afterwards, Miss Dong left with Miss Zhao, and that's all I know."

Chu Mo gazed into the woman's eyes across from him, his expression becoming slightly stern, and then he said coldly:

"I'm giving you one last chance to tell me the truth about what you know... Otherwise, you will regret today's decision."

Hearing this, the woman opposite him shook her head with an unchanged expression, her voice heavy:

"I've told you everything I know. I'm just a hostess, how could I possibly know about the affairs of important people like you?"

Seeing that the other party was completely unmoved, Chu Mo nodded lightly, then his face grew somber as he said:

"I've given you the opportunity, and you failed to appreciate it. Don't blame me then."

As he finished speaking, Chu Mo abruptly stood up, and with his movement, all the black-clothed men near each booth also rose. In an instant, the eyes of six or seven hundred black-clothed men across the bar were simultaneously fixed on Chu Mo.

Wasting no more time, he strode out, while instructing Jiang Tao at his side:

"Smash it!"

As the word was uttered, with a grand gesture from Jiang Tao, the whole bar immediately erupted into a cacophony. By the time Chu Mo left the bar, the sounds of shouting and chaos were a constant buzz behind him.

Chu Mo got into the back seat of the Rolls-Royce, and after Jiang Tao took the passenger seat, Chu Mo's voice was grave as he said:

"There's definitely something wrong with this bar, otherwise, the back-end surveillance wouldn't have been tampered with. Maybe that boss Qin isn't aware, but Gao Xia lied. Take her away, see to it yourself, and pry whatever information you can from her mouth as quickly as possible."

Upon receiving his orders, Jiang Tao immediately nodded in agreement, quickly exited the car, and moments later, the tall woman named Gao Xia was brought out again.

The woman, wearing pajamas, was escorted into a Hongqi sedan, and as a crowd of bodyguards filed out of the bar, the long convoy restarted. Chu Mo then directed:

"To Moon Lake Tower."

Without any hesitation, a procession of hundreds of luxury vehicles merged onto the main road. As the bar's chairman, Qin Mang, stepped outside, he saw the endless line of vehicles stretching beyond view, his mouth slightly agape, unable to voice even half a word.

Minutes later, the leading Hongqi stopped in front of Moon Lake Tower. The doorman, responsible for greeting guests, was jolted into attention by the sight of the formidable convoy stretching out of sight and immediately turned to notify the tower manager.

When the Rolls-Royce Phantom parked in front of the main entrance of the tower, the rear vehicles were still on the main road. The sounds of car doors opening and closing echoed, as black-suited bodyguards swiftly secured the perimeter of the building.

As a duty manager from Moon Lake Tower, accompanied by a dozen waiters, hurried over, what they saw was the sight of hundreds of black-suited men enveloping the entire building.

Chu Mo stepped out of the back of the Rolls-Royce, tilting his head up to gaze at the tallest building in Suzhou City in front of him. The entire Moon Lake Tower stood at 450 meters in the city center, directly facing Jinji Lake to the west. It covered an area of 21,280 square meters with a total construction area of 393,208 square meters, spanning over 92 floors.

It was only slightly shorter than the three tallest buildings in the metropolis.

The estimated value of Moon Lake Tower was nineteen billion, and acquiring it would likely require more than twenty billion. It was indeed a super skyscraper worthy of its name.

Of course, if it weren't for Dong Xun'er's incident, Chu Mo might not have come to take a look until he had completely acquired the building. Now, as the sky had turned dark and clouds gathered overhead, standing in front of the entrance of Moon Lake Tower, he looked up and felt an oddly familiar sensation.

Several months earlier, when he had just acquired Mo City's second tallest building, the Mo City Financial Tower, he had stood in front of the tower, looking up, just as he was doing now.

The scene from that time was still clear in his mind, but now, his goals had shifted to Suzhou City and, more broadly, to the entire Hua Country.

After a moment of contemplative silence, Chu Mo stopped surveying. He withdrew his gaze and then started walking towards the towering skyscraper with measured strides.

The woman assigned to meet him was an elegant lady, roughly thirty-five or thirty-six years old, dressed in a light blue suit-dress, with her long hair pinned up at the back of her head, giving off a dignified and graceful air.

As Chu Mo approached, the woman with a warm smile on her face bowed slightly and said,

"Welcome to Moon Lake Tower, sir. Please come inside. My name is Dai Wenqian, the manager. If there is anything you need, feel free to instruct."

However, the ten bodyguards, each over two meters tall, surrounding her did not give her any face. The security detail's deputy leader, Fang Lihu, even blocked her completely, not giving her the slightest chance to come closer.

Chu Mo naturally couldn't be bothered with a mere manager. He walked past her without a sideways glance and directly stepped into the lobby. The three-story high lobby was spacious and bright, the massive crystal chandelier overhead cast the hall in a light as bright as day, yet the light was incredibly soft and not at all blinding.

Looking around, Chu Mo noticed that the decor here bore a resemblance to Tianxiang Garden, with a rating of about forty percent similarity. The receptionists welcoming guests at the lobby had an average beauty score above eighty percent, quite a sight for sore eyes.

As Chu Mo moved forward, several hundred black-clad bodyguards followed swiftly into the lobby. In a moment, the previously spacious hall filled up with people, with many more bodyguards still positioned outside the door, keeping watch.

The elegant woman behind him quickly caught up again. She didn't show any dissatisfaction with Chu Mo's earlier disregard. On the contrary, the woman approached him with increased enthusiasm. Though several bodyguards separated them, she still said respectfully,

"Sir, if you have any requests, please let me know, and I will do my best to accommodate your needs."

Chu Mo did not respond. He looked at his wristwatch, the Patek Philippe 5002 worth millions of dollars glistened softly under the light.

Seven fifteen.

Having traveled toward Suzhou City since around three in the afternoon, he had yet to eat and could feel the hunger gnawing at his stomach. Knowing that haste wouldn't help matters, he spoke up,

"Prepare me a dinner first. Bring out all your signature dishes."

With those subdued words, the relief was evident in the manager's eyes as she made a small gesture,

"We have private rooms upstairs, sir, please follow me!"

Chu Mo turned his gaze toward the lobby and noticed that there were many empty seats around. He walked toward one and said,

"Here is fine."

The elegant woman naturally did not rebut and nodded softly. She immediately turned and went to arrange the meal.

Just as Chu Mo sat down, he noticed that there had been several dozen guests dining in the restaurant. Now, however, all eyes occasionally turned towards him.

He ignored those gazes. Clearly, Moon Lake Tower was now fully at his service. Shortly after he had taken his seat, a stream of delicious dishes began arriving at his table, and within minutes, the table was laden with delicacies.

Feeling the pangs of hunger, Chu Mo didn't hold back. He picked up his chopsticks and began to eat without any further ado.

At that moment, the sound of footsteps approached, and the elegant lady he had seen before led a group of about a dozen men and women with an exceptional presence directly towards Chu Mo.
