When Alaric stepped into the Tower of the Gods in Uruk once more, the sun was already high in the sky.

After parting ways with Ereshkigal, Alaric decisively left Mount Ebih. He did not return to Kutha City but instead went straight back to Uruk.

After resting for a night, he made his way to the Tower of the Gods to meet Gilgamesh.

"King Gilgamesh, aside from the Beast Goddess Gorgon, I have already met the other goddesses and learned of their objectives and current conditions."

Waiting quietly for Gilgamesh to finish attending to his affairs, Alaric directly began, "Currently, Quetzalcoatl, Goddess of the Feathered Serpent; Ereshkigal, Goddess of the Underworld; and Gorgon, the Beast Goddess, have formed an alliance, establishing a pact of non-aggression.

They intend to compete fairly for dominion over Mesopotamia, determining the future course of this land."

Seated upon his throne, Gilgamesh looked at Alaric with interest. "Heh, that idiot Ishtar didn't join in?"

Among the names Alaric mentioned, Gilgamesh did not hear Ishtar, the foolish goddess, being included.

"Ishtar did not join the goddesses' alliance, or perhaps she had no intention of participating. Despite her unruly behavior, the Goddess Ishtar is, without a doubt, genuinely intent on protecting the people of Uruk."

From the very beginning, Ishtar's purpose, summoned in response to the High Priestess' call, had been made clear.

"Is there anything else? Perhaps a countermeasure against the goddesses?"

Gilgamesh rested his chin on one hand, his attention fully on Alaric, even setting aside his administrative duties for the moment.

To be honest, Gilgamesh was amazed at the efficiency of Alaric's actions. In just one day, he had safely returned with information on the three goddesses, and it seemed he had even made personal contact with them.

Whether it was the two goddesses of Sumerian mythology or the supreme deity from a distant magical realm, Alaric had managed to interact with them harmoniously.

This extraordinary capability made Gilgamesh deeply appreciate Merlin's earlier remark that Alaric could serve as three Servants by himself.

As a mortal, Alaric possessed immense potential—both in his adaptability to different classes and in his multifaceted abilities.

Under the conditions of the Age of Gods, where his capabilities were constantly growing, Alaric fully lived up to Merlin's exaggerated praise.

And Alaric did not disappoint Gilgamesh's expectations. Calmly and naturally, he said, "Indeed, there is a countermeasure. And that is... battle."

At this point, Alaric paused briefly.

Quetzalcoatl was an absolute deity of goodness. Even without Alaric's intervention, she would not cause harm to Uruk. But Ereshkigal, the Goddess of the Underworld, was different. Her actions were driven by the accumulation of millennia of suffering.

Not only would she need to be defeated head-on, but it was also necessary to convince Ereshkigal to abandon her objectives.

This was undoubtedly a difficult task, but it was not enough to make Alaric back down.

After finishing his thoughts, Alaric's gaze remained unwavering, and his firm voice echoed once again in the Tower of the Gods: "Leave everything to me. I will fight the goddesses. I will destroy the alliance between them."

The pact among the three goddesses was a divine contract—a powerful agreement that even the goddesses themselves could not violate.

Even with his Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, Alaric lacked the full confidence to destroy the contract.

But Alaric believed that he could achieve it. Given a bit more time, even such a divine contract would no longer be an insurmountable obstacle.

He had already severed the connection between the Goetia and the Holy Grail. In his battle with Gawain, he brought forth the full manifestation of the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, killing not only Gawain's half-body but also part of the earth itself.

Moreover, after his fantastical journey and descent into the Underworld, Alaric's understanding of death had grown even deeper.

The assassination techniques once taught by the Old Man of the Mountain had also become more comprehensible to him. What he previously could not understand, he could now grasp and apply.

Using the Old Man of the Mountain's assassination techniques, which had reached the realm of the divine, Alaric believed that even a divine contract could be killed.

With all these factors in play, Alaric had the confidence to nullify the goddesses' alliance without sustaining any injuries.

What Alaric lacked now was only time and the corresponding experience.

"Heh, how interesting. You intend to bear the weight of everything yourself?"

Gilgamesh immediately understood Alaric's intentions and chuckled. "How arrogant, Alaric. Has anyone ever told you this before? Ignoring the will of others, what an overbearing act.

Not bad—I admire your resolve. Go ahead and do it!"

Gilgamesh was curious to see how far Alaric could go with his plan to single-handedly take on the task of dealing with the three goddesses.

Could he truly unite the three into their camp using his strength alone?

Burdened as he was with administrative duties and the constant drain of magical energy, Gilgamesh was more than happy to have someone take care of these troublesome matters.

"One more thing—"

At that moment, Alaric's voice rang out again.

Gilgamesh's brow twitched, and a sense of foreboding arose within him.

"It's about the Mother of Creation, Tiamat."

Alaric's gaze locked onto Gilgamesh, the only king ruling this land, the most ancient Heroic Spirit with the clairvoyance of the future.

There was no way Gilgamesh could be unaware of Tiamat's impending emergence.

As expected, Gilgamesh's reaction was within Alaric's expectations. He nodded naturally. "Merlin told you?"

In Gilgamesh's view, only Merlin would have informed Alaric about Tiamat.

"I made contact with the Goddess Tiamat. It seems I encountered her on a profound, spiritual plane."

"What—?"

These words stunned even Gilgamesh, who could no longer maintain his composure.

The Mother of Creation, Tiamat, who should have been imprisoned in a cradle constructed by Merlin and plunged into slumber, still managed to establish a profound connection with Alaric.

What was her purpose?

Gilgamesh gave Alaric a long, searching look.

Had it been anyone else, he might have dismissed it as Tiamat's desperate attempt at self-rescue. But Alaric was far too unique. Had Merlin not found Alaric first, even Gilgamesh couldn't predict what would have happened.

In his conversations with Merlin, Gilgamesh had also come to realize Alaric's importance.

Whoever encountered Alaric first would determine the course of the future.

To ensure he was the first, Merlin, not only manifested early but even diverted some of the magical energy meant for Tiamat's cradle to use Clairvoyance.

On the day they first met, Merlin even used his Flower Magecraft to stabilize Alaric's mind and prevent him from falling into darkness.

Though Merlin later realized his actions were unnecessary, the Lion King, who had entrusted everything to Alaric, had already prepared everything for him.

With all her hopes, she ensured that Alaric would continue moving forward.

As for all that had transpired, Alaric himself remained completely unaware.

The one loved will naturally love others.
