"Exactly! Always supporting Lord Kaito!"

A group of people, upon hearing Kaito's promise, couldn't contain their excitement. Despite being seasoned jōnin, they shouted their support without hesitation.

At this point, if anyone dared to say they didn't support Kaito becoming the Fourth Hokage, they'd probably be drowned in a sea of spit from the crowd.

Following that, the group turned their attention to the map, discussing strategies for tomorrow's battle against Amegakure (Hidden Rain Village).

The discussion and coordination continued until late into the night.

Midway through, Kaito used a communication technique to contact Uchiha Naori and Uzumaki Mito. Through the Space-Time Gate, he transferred Hanzo's and Danzo's corpses directly into Naori's storage space, explaining the situation on the front lines.

After receiving the message and the bodies, Uchiha Naori immediately turned to Uzumaki Mito, who was still guiding the public narrative in the village.

"Got it!" Uzumaki Mito nodded. "Public opinion control here has gone much smoother than I expected. It might be because Danzo and Hiruzen aren't around to manipulate things anymore."

"Also, Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura seem to have noticed something, but they haven't made any moves in response," she added. "They didn't even warn the 'Monkey,' so it looks like they're opting for neutrality."

"Well, that makes things easier for us," Naori sneered. "Naive fools!"

"If they've enjoyed the benefits of aligning with the Third Hokage all these years, do they really think they can just sit back now? No way."

"At the very least, they'll have to cough up everything they've taken, tenfold, and relinquish all their power if they want any chance at neutrality!"

Fence-sitters and traitors are always despised.

"That's true," Mito agreed. She'd been annoyed with those two for a long time.

The two of them quickened their preparations.

At the Konoha front-line camp, Kaito and Tsunade led a large group of ninja clans on a march toward Amegakure.

Most of the Uchiha and two other clans remained behind, under Orochimaru's command, to guard against attacks from Sunagakure and Iwagakure. They were also prepared to respond if needed.

This served two purposes: ensuring the safety of the camp and borders, and giving the other clans and civilian ninja a firsthand experience of Kaito's terrifying strength, solidifying his prestige and favor among them.

Yesterday's displays of power weren't enough.

The Third Hokage was struggling to disarm the countless seals and traps in Danzo's Root base. He had managed to break through a third of them, feeling closer to uncovering the truth.

Suddenly, an Anbu operative rushed in.

"Lord Hokage, bad news! The village is flooded with accusations against you and Lord Danzo! It's spreading like wildfire!"

"Many villagers are already gathering at the Hokage's office to demand answers!"

"What?!" The Third Hokage's face turned pale. "Accusations? Against me? And Danzo? Who's behind this?"

"...Damn it! I've been tricked!"

If he didn't realize he was being played by now, he'd truly be a fool.

"The enemy must've deliberately reactivated and reinforced the seals and traps here to stall me, giving them time to manipulate public opinion."

"I fell for it. I've been so focused on this base that I neglected the village. Damn it!"

"Let's go! Follow me to the Hokage's office to take control!"

Seething with frustration, the Third Hokage rallied his Anbu and Root operatives and hurried toward the Hokage's office.

Near the Hokage's Office

As soon as the Third Hokage arrived, he was surrounded by a sea of villagers and even ninjas, all shouting accusations.

"Lord Hokage! Explain what happened to my brother, who went missing because of Danzo!"

"Lord Hokage, you embezzled village funds to benefit your family while demoting the Sarutobi clan to civilian status. How do you even justify that?"

"Give me back my husband's life!"

"Sarutobi Hiruzen, you're unfit to be Hokage!"

The accusations came pouring in as the crowd grew angrier. People waved copies of evidence, yelling and spitting insults.

The Third Hokage's face darkened, but for once, he was at a loss for words.

Suddenly, a massive wave of chakra silenced the crowd. Uchiha Naori, in her Fourth-Stage Susanoo, and Uzumaki Mito, in full Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, appeared before the Hokage's office.

The colossal constructs, towering over 100 meters tall, loomed over the building, their sheer presence stunning the villagers and ninjas into silence.

Even the Third Hokage broke into a cold sweat.

"How… how can they be this powerful?" He felt despair creeping in.

Using amplified chakra, Uzumaki Mito addressed the crowd, her voice booming: "Everyone, please calm down!"

"We understand your anger, but we ask you to trust me, Uzumaki Mito. Trust the Senju, the Uchiha, and the Uzumaki clans!"

"We will bring you justice!"

"For now, please make way!"

"We will take the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, into custody and investigate all his crimes!"

Hearing this, the Third Hokage felt his body go cold.

"It's over," he thought to himself.

Just before arriving, he'd received reports from the Anbu about the situation on the front lines.

Danzo was dead, and the four ninja clans aligned with him had been annihilated.

Back in the village, Mito and Naori had clearly prepared for this moment. The evidence the villagers were holding—copied records from Danzo's Root archives—left no room for doubt.

He'd been completely outmaneuvered.

Looking at Naori and Mito's calm, commanding presence, and the powerful clans gathered behind them—Nara, Akimichi, Hyūga, and others—the Third Hokage knew the game was over.

His family's estate and Danzo's territories had likely already been seized.

Ignoring his despair, Uzumaki Mito continued addressing the crowd: "Of course, any villagers or ninjas with grievances are welcome to come forward and report them at the Hokage's office!"

"We'll handle and investigate every case thoroughly!"

"However, the final judgment of the Third Hokage, Danzo, and others will have to wait until the war on the frontlines is over."

"I'm sure you all understand—we're still in battle with the Hidden Rain Village."

"Even though we've achieved significant victories!"

"Just yesterday, Uchiha Kaito defeated 2,000 elite shinobi from the Rain Village in a single battle and killed Danzo, the traitor."

"But the war isn't completely over yet!"

"We can't rule out the possibility that the Sand and Stone Villages might join the fight against us later."

At this point, Uzumaki Mito paused and continued:

"So, the trial of the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, will have to wait until the war ends and our ninja forces return victorious."

"For now, Sarutobi Hiruzen and the clan supporting him will only be detained."

"In the meantime, I, Uchiha Naori, and some clan representatives, along with a few jonin, will temporarily take over the village's management to maintain stability and prevent other villages from exploiting the situation. I hope everyone can understand this."

As she spoke, golden chains erupted from Uzumaki Mito's body, shooting towards Sarutobi Hiruzen, who stood dozens of meters away.

"Lord Hokage, watch out!"

Several ANBU members near Hiruzen quickly moved in front of him, drawing their swords to block the chains racing toward him.

"It's fine! Don't resist! There's no point in wasting your strength on a criminal like me—it's over."

"Mito-sama, I admit my guilt and surrender. I only ask that you show mercy to the Sarutobi clan for the contributions I've made to Konoha in the past. Thank you!"

After speaking, Hiruzen knelt and bowed deeply to Uzumaki Mito.

It wasn't that he didn't want to resist—it was that he simply couldn't.

Mito's overwhelming aura wasn't something he could compete with.

Uzumaki Mito's strength was far beyond the kage level, comparable to the First Hokage and Uchiha Madara in their prime.

Hiruzen knew that resistance would only make things worse for him and his clan. It was better to accept his defeat and hope for leniency.

As for Danzo's clan?

From the start, Hiruzen never intended to plead for the Shimura clan.

There always had to be a scapegoat to absorb the hatred of the Senju, Uchiha, and the villagers—just like how Uzumaki Naruto was treated after the Nine-Tails incident in the original timeline.

Hiruzen felt the Shimura clan was perfect for this role. Sacrificing them, along with possibly the Utatane clan and Mitokado clan, was worth it to protect the Sarutobi clan.

The ANBU and villagers were stunned by Hiruzen's admission of guilt and his submissive demeanor.

Uchiha Naori and Uzumaki Mito exchanged glances, both thinking:

"Old fox! As cunning as ever!"

Mito bound Hiruzen tightly with her adamantine sealing chains, suppressing his chakra.

"It's good that you've chosen to surrender," she said.

"As for sparing your clan..."

"That will depend on the final judgment of the villagers!"

"For now, I can't make that decision alone."

"But considering your past contributions, the Sarutobi bloodline won't be completely wiped out."

This was the truth.

While Hiruzen had committed many wrongs, completely erasing the Sarutobi clan would appear too tyrannical and could breed resentment among other villagers and clans.

Mito assured herself that any remaining Sarutobi clan members would be monitored, indoctrinated, or otherwise neutralized to prevent future threats.

As for the Shimura clan, no one mentioned them. Both Mito and Naori silently agreed they'd be the scapegoats for the villagers' anger.

"Thank you, Mito-sama!"

Hiruzen, hearing that his clan's bloodline wouldn't end, felt immense relief and gratitude.

Soon, Hiruzen and his accompanying ANBU were detained, awaiting further investigation.

Meanwhile, Mito, Naori, and other clan representatives moved into the Hokage Tower to take control of the village's administration.

They quickly formed a temporary governing body led by Uzumaki Mito and Uchiha Naori, with major clans like the Nara, Akimichi, Yamanaka, Hyuga, Inuzuka, and Aburame as key players.

Simultaneously, elite forces from the Uchiha, Senju, and Uzumaki clans, supported by other ninja clans, surrounded the territories of the Sarutobi, Shimura, Utatane, and Mitokado clans.

Resistance was met with swift and decisive action.

After eliminating over a hundred rebellious Sarutobi clan members, the rest surrendered, had their chakra sealed, and were detained, resulting in 42 casualties.

The Shimura clan, however, resisted fiercely, resulting in 563 casualties before they were subdued.

Unlike them, the Utatane and Mitokado clans surrendered without a fight, following the lead of their advisors.

All detained clans were held under strict surveillance, ensuring no further uprisings.

Back at the Hokage Tower, reports of the successful operations were delivered:

"The Sarutobi, Shimura, Utatane, and Mitokado clans have been subdued. Chakra has been sealed, and all detainees are under strict watch."

"The Shimura clan suffered the heaviest losses, with 563 killed in resistance."

The transition of power was completed smoothly, solidifying Uzumaki Mito and Uchiha Naori's control over the village.
