Urban Powerhouse: Chaos Supreme

Chapter 768: Shock

"Who are you guys?"

Lin Mo asked.

"I am Li Ming, the father of Li Shujie."

"I am Luo Jiahao, Xiao Jie's uncle." Luo Jiahao said, his gaze measuring Lin Mo up and down, realizing the young man's age wasn't great, yet he seemed to possess some extremely special abilities.

Luo Jiahao and Li Ming were different; Li Ming's talent mainly lay in the business realm, dealing with commercial and economic affairs, but Luo Jiahao, being an underground Dragon Head, encountered all sorts of people. Naturally, he was aware of the existence of Martial Artists, Magic Users, and even Superpower Users.

Li Shujie was a Martial God Strong Person, but now, he was being pinned to the ground by Lin Mo, without a chance to fight back. Naturally, Luo Jiahao didn't dare underestimate the youth before him.

"Your son provoked me for no reason; I merely gave him a taste of hardship," Lin Mo said, as if discussing a trivial matter.

"Do you know who I am? Daring to treat my son this way, believe it or not, I can make you disappear from this world." Li Ming was consumed with rage, shouting loudly.

Everyone, upon seeing Li Ming and Luo Jiahao appear, looked at Lin Mo with a touch of sympathy.

These two were famed figures in the Ancient Capital; especially Luo Jiahao, the underground Dragon Head. Usually, he was amicable, but his methods when it came to matters were ruthless. Otherwise, he would not have been able to establish a foothold in the chaotic Ancient Capital. To provoke them likely meant a dead end.

Alarm and anxiety showed on the faces of the two young girls, Gai Shu and Qi Wan.

No matter how formidable Lin Mo was, could he really not fear vast numbers of people, even hundreds, and they were all armed?

"Bang!"

Just as Li Ming finished speaking, his body suddenly flew backward, tumbling to the ground with a five-fingered handprint on his face and blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, his ears ringing as if he had been harshly slapped, yet no one had seen anyone lift a hand.

The entire place gasped in shock. They dared to hit even Li Ming?

Was this guy truly insane?

"Your son made a mistake, yet you didn't apologize, and you even threatened me. Believe it or not, I can kill you," Lin Mo said softly, yet everyone felt an icy chill, and Li Ming himself felt as if an electric current had surged from the top of his skull down to his tailbone, causing goosebumps all over.

Li Ming had met many people, but never someone like Lin Mo; such a person seemed to possess an unwavering confidence. To him, nothing seemed to matter.

However, how could Li Ming tolerate being hit and threatened this way?

Luo Jiahao's expression grew even darker. He had met many Martial Artists and Magic Users, but he had never been afraid, because at his command, he had both people and weapons. Even Martial Artists had to show him some respect.

"Xiao Wan, Shushu." Suddenly, a voice clear as a silver bell rang out.

Dressed in a white gown, radiant with jewels, Huo Yongshi, looking every bit the Imperial Princess, walked out from the crowd. Such a commotion had long since alerted the members of the Huo Family.

"What happened here?" Huo Yongshi's clear eyes widened as she saw Li Shujie lying on the ground, Li Ming with blood at his mouth, and a distinct handprint on his face.

"I'm sorry, Little Shi, I didn't mean to divulge your matter," Qi Wan said weakly, a look of guilt on her face.

Huo Yongshi was intelligent; without having to think, she knew that Li Shujie didn't know Lin Mo at all. It must have been Qi Wan and Gai Shu who had shared their grievances with Li Shujie, which led him to seek out Lin Mo and resulted in this predicament.

Huo Yongshi furrowed her brows in concern. She had personally witnessed Lin Mo's power, and knew that for Li Shujie to go looking for trouble with Lin Mo was akin to inviting his own death.

If she had known earlier, she would have certainly stopped it.

Now that things had escalated to this point, wasn't it making her position difficult?

Huo Yongshi hesitated, then looked at Luo Jiahao and said, "Uncle Luo, Lin Mo is my friend. There must be some misunderstanding between him and Mr. Li."

"Now, it's more than just a misunderstanding," Luo Jiahao's eyes gleamed with a sharp intensity.

It could be said that Lin Mo's fight with Li Shujie was just a kid's scuffle; if Lin Mo had apologized, the matter might have been forgotten. But now that Lin Mo had made a move against Li Ming, it was clear he didn't take the Li Family or him, Luo Jiahao, seriously.

"Mr. Luo, Master Chen has arrived," the bodyguard, who had previously left, returned to Luo Jiahao's side, accompanied by a middle-aged man in his fifties with a square face, thick eyebrows, and large eyes. His every move had an imposing air, and he was dressed in traditional Chinese garb. Each step he took seemed to beat a rhythm that thrummed in everyone's hearts.

Huo Yongshi didn't expect the situation to escalate to this level. She glanced at her two best girlfriends with a bit of blame.

"Master Chen, someone's been bullying Xiao Jie, and it seems this person isn't weak," said Luo Jiahao to Master Chen.

Master Chen was a revered figure among martial artists. Luo Jiahao had gone through great effort to enlist him under his wing, and it was Master Chen who had taught Li Shujie martial arts, making him Li Shujie's master.

The appearance of Master Chen instantly caused a stir among the crowd.

This Master Chen was a celebrity within Ancient Capital circles. Luo Jiahao once had a mortal enemy named Xiao Ye, one of the underground bosses in Ancient Capital – a constant thorn in his side. However, ever since Luo Jiahao brought Master Chen into his camp, Xiao Ye had suddenly disappeared from Ancient Capital. Rumors floated that it was Master Chen's doing.

In fact, the circle embroidered mystical tales about Master Chen, claiming he could pluck flowers and flick leaves to use them as knives, walk on water, and move like an Immortal.

"This youngster from Shu Province is probably doomed now that Master Chen is here."

"Mr. Li is Master Chen's disciple, isn't this an insult to Master Chen himself?"

"I guess this kid will start crying and begging for mercy soon."

The crowd murmured quietly among themselves; in their hearts, Master Chen was a legendary figure. As for Lin Mo, though it appeared he had some skills, he was still just a greenhorn in the end.

Master Chen furrowed his brows as his gaze landed on Lin Mo, then was suddenly taken aback, and amidst the incredulous gazes of everyone and Luo Jiahao, he unexpectedly knelt on one knee, bowed his head, and respectfully called out, "Chen Youming pays his respects to Lord Lin Tanyu."

Lin Mo looked at Master Chen without surprise; the latter possessed the power of a Martial God Strong Person in the Late Stage, and with Lin Mo's renowned name in the Martial Arts World, who wouldn't recognize him?

Witnessing this scene, Li Ming and Luo Jiahao froze, rigid-faced.

Qi Wan, Gai Shu, and Huo Yongshi – the three girls all showed stunned expressions on their pretty faces. What was going on?

The rest of the crowd was also stunned.

Lord Lin Tanyu? What was this all about?

"Master Chen, you?" Luo Jiahao never expected that his relied upon Master Chen would kneel to this young man. He knew Master Chen was an arrogant fighter, one who would not even let Luo Jiahao himself show any disrespect.

Master Chen stood up, his face showing a bitter expression, "Mr. Luo, I'm afraid I can't help you this time."

Huo Yongshi looked at Lin Mo with astonishment – who exactly was Lin Tanyu?
