Chapter 85: CH: 84 Crying Qiao Siying. There is another one?
{Chapter: 83 Crying Qiao Siying. There is another one?}
After half an hour, as Qiao Siying enjoyed yet another slice of cake, Lin Yuan stood up from his seat.
"I'm going to the restroom," he announced.
"Hmm," Qiao Siying responded, her mouth full of cake, making her words nearly unintelligible.
Seconds passed.
Twenty seconds.
Half a minute slipped by.
Yet, Lin Yuan had not returned.
Qiao Siying paused, her spoon hovering mid-air, a frown creasing her delicate brow. Something felt off.
She recalled Lin Yuan's earlier movements—he hadn't even walked in the direction of the restroom. A flicker of suspicion ignited in her mind.
Quickly, she pulled out her phone and opened the location-sharing app visible to both her and Lin Yuan, as well as their parents. What she saw made her eyes widen in disbelief.
Lin Yuan's location indicated he was now hundreds of meters away from the café.
He had run away!
Qiao Siying sat frozen for a moment before the realization fully hit her.
He had used the classic, almost legendary excuse—claiming to go to the restroom to escape just before the bill arrived!
"Didn't you say you had a membership at this store? Why did you leave without paying?" Qiao Siying angrily texted Lin Yuan, her fingers furiously tapping on the screen.
A reply arrived within moments, and she could almost picture Lin Yuan's smirking face on the other side of the screen.
"I said I had a membership at the store. When did I ever say I was treating you?"
Reading the message, Qiao Siying felt her frustration bubble over. She could vividly imagine Lin Yuan's nonchalant tone and infuriatingly smug expression.
Her anger surged as she clenched her phone tightly. Then, with a huff, she grabbed her purse, ready to storm out of the café. But before she could leave, the store clerk intercepted her.
"Miss, before you go, please settle the bill. The total is 123,500 yuan." The clerk smiled politely, though his tone carried a subtle firmness.
Qiao Siying's face turned red with frustration as she reluctantly reached into her bag, pulling out her monthly pocket money. Gritting her teeth, she paid the bill before storming out, vowing vengeance.
She jumped into her car and drove off, her eyes locked onto Lin Yuan's location displayed on her phone's GPS.
After a few hundred meters, she spotted it—Lin Yuan's Lamborghini parked leisurely by the roadside.
Lin Yuan stood outside, his arms casually crossed, clearly waiting for her.
"I knew you'd catch up," he remarked, his tone annoyingly calm.
Qiao Siying didn't bother responding to his provocations. She marched straight up to him, her hand outstretched, palm open.
"Pay me back for the bill I just covered! And don't forget the money you owe me from last time!" she demanded, her voice dripping with anger.
"That's a total of two million yuan, including interest and compensation for the psychological damage you've caused me!"
Her fierce glare burned into Lin Yuan, her voice growing louder with every word.
Lin Yuan raised an eyebrow. "What exactly do you want from me?"
"Repay the money!"
"Ah. You are asking for money."
"Money! I want you to repay me right now!"
Lin Yuan let out a soft sigh. "I'll warn you just once—you'd better leave now, or you'll regret it."
Qiao Siying immediately went forward to where Lin Yuan was standing upon hearing this. Speaking, Qiao Siying stretched out her hand and covered her nose. "It's really unlucky to meet someone like you. It seriously affected my mood and my heart. It is not good for me, even the air smells awful."
Lin Yuan sighed and said, "Young lady, pay attention. You'd better move your feet 'cause you stepped on some shit."
Qiao Siying, ".."
Qiao Siying blinked in confusion before glancing down. Her face instantly twisted in horror as she realized she had stepped into something foul.
The sticky, revolting sensation under her designer shoe made her stomach churn.
Two seconds later, she jumped back with a shriek.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" she snapped, glaring at Lin Yuan. "You saw it, didn't you? You could've warned me!"
Lin Yuan shrugged. "I did tell you to leave before you regretted it. You just didn't listen."
His indifferent tone only fueled Qiao Siying's fury. She clenched her fists, her anger reaching its peak.
"You… You really have a problem!" she shouted, unable to hold back any longer.
Lin Yuan remained unfazed. "You're upset now because you don't understand me yet," he said, his voice calm. Then, after a pause, he added, "But don't worry. Soon, you'll understand me… and hate me even more."
Qiao Siying was momentarily stunned. For a split second, she thought there was a hint of sincerity in his words.
But then she caught the smirk on his face, and her anger reignited.
As the young lady of the Qiao Family, and being beautiful with a mixed race, whether at home or outside or abroad, people treat her kindly and gently.
They held me in their hands for the fear of her falling. They held their thoughts in their mouths for the fear of her melting.
Today, Lin Yuan made her angry many times. She got angry more than the instances she has been angry in the past year.
Under the uncontrollable anger and grievance, Qiao Siying's eyes became sore. She burst into tears.
Her tears began falling
Her eyes welled up with tears of frustration.
Since Lin Yuan was right there and Qiao Siying didn't want to lose her face, she wiped her tears with her hands and slightly bit her red lips.
Because the more she rubs her eyes, the more she feels wronged.
At this moment, she felt someone pulling her dress.
Still, Lin Yuan noticed her trembling frame. With a sigh, he reached out and gently pulled her toward the side of his Lamborghini.
"Don't cry," he said softly, his hand resting on her shoulder. "I can't stand seeing a woman cry."
He had a gentle smile on his face.
Seeing Lin Yuan's gentle appearance, Qiao Siying's heart fluttered. After all Lin Yuan had a 200 points charm.
Qiao Siying felt that Lin Yuan was finally sensible and finally did something right.
'You can't stand seeing a woman crying, but he kept on bullying me….' Qiao Siying wanted to say this to him.
But before she could even speak, she was interrupted by Lin Yuan.
"I can't stand seeing a woman crying, because if they cry, I laugh so hard."
Before Qiao Siying could process his words, Lin Yuan burst into laughter, stepped into his car, and sped off, leaving her stunned.
"You! Lin Yuan!!!"
Her scream echoed in the air as she watched his Lamborghini disappear into the distance.
Qiao Siying shouted Lin Yuan's name that she felt like she badly wanted to slap him on the face.
But Lin Yuan has escaped again onboard his Lamborghini.
At this time, Qiao Siying could not contain her anger that she could not even cry.
Her fury boiled over as she stomped her feet—only to accidentally drop her designer bag onto her soiled shoe.
Her frustration reached its breaking point. Tears streamed down her face as she climbed back into her car.
"Lin Yuan… I hate you!!! You just wait! I'll remember this day!"
Back in her car, she furiously searched for Lin Yuan on WeChat to send him a barrage of angry voice messages.
But a system prompt popped up instead: "Please add the other party as a friend first."
Her jaw dropped.
"Ah!" She let out a frustrated scream and threw her phone onto the passenger seat, tears of anger spilling from her eyes.
---
Meanwhile, aboard his Lamborghini, Lin Yuan casually checked his phone.
A message from his mother, Meng Yuelan, had arrived.
"How was the blind date?"
Lin Yuan typed a brief reply: "Not great. I wasn't very impressed. Maybe next time."
Meng Yuelan quickly responded, "How are you so sure there'll be a next time?"
Lin Yuan hesitated, staring at the screen, momentarily at a loss for words.
"..."
